All the 5 star reviews speaks for themselves. This place is absolutely amazing. Anyone looking to experience the best of Belize, this is the resort for you. We stayed 8 days/7 nights in a deluxe treehouse and couldn't have been more pleased. I cannot think of a single thing that could have remotely made our stay any better. It is hard to fix what is not broken. From day one we felt right at home and could feel the love from the Hamanasi staff/family. Everyone from the groundskeepers, pool/ocean staff, receptionists, dining staff, housekeeping, chefs, offshore/inland guides, gardeners, security, etc..everybody we met throughout our stay was top notch and couldn't have treated us any better. Whether you are looking for a place to relax/unplug or physically challenge you with adventure while also diving deep into the history of Belize, or a combination of both..this is the place to be. We look forward to returning in the future and making many more wonderful memories from this place.

My husband and I went to Hamanasi in April of 2019 for our anniversary. It was one of the best places we've been too. You can tell that they really care about customer service and is always willing to get feedback to improve. Hopkins felt safe too, as we rode our bikes all around. Food was amazing, especially their fish and hot sauce. The adventures and tours were above and beyond most tour companies would do. There's so many good things to say about this place. In summary, if you want a great place that cares about you, where you can relax and have adventures at the same time, this place is for you!

We were looking for an ideal destination wedding spot and based on the reviews decided on Hamanasi. A small group of us did a week at this fantastic resort and on Thursday we were married. We could not have made a better choice. The best news is we have a wonderful place to come back for anniversaries:)

We can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was at Hamanasi. We stayed in a deluxe treehouse room - it was beautiful, spacious, and felt secluded even though it was only a few steps from the main house. The adventure guides were amazing we really enjoyed the rainforest excursions. We also went snorkeling twice and had a great time, saw so many different types of sealife. The staff really made us feel like part of the family, and the restaurant was stellar for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. Can't wait to come back again!

Hamanasi is an absolutely phenomenal resort. Words can't really do it justice, but I will do my best here.

My wife and I went to Belize for our honeymoon and we chose Hamanasi based upon its sterling reputation and review scores. All of the wonderfully positive things we read were absolutely true.

The booking experience was super easy and the Hamanasi staff did a great job reserving our connecting flights with Maya Air. A driver was standing by at the Dangriga airport to take us to the resort. Upon arrival, we were treated like royalty (this type of service continued throughout our stay). Our deluxe tree house was beyond beautiful and the resort grounds are taken care of in such a way that you can tell the native habitat is respected. The resort is more a part of the environment than an imposing presence and the paths, gardens, pool, and other areas were in perfect condition. The woodwork in particular, present all over the resort, is breathtaking.

We did several adventure tours, including the Mayan ruins, jungle canoeing, and reef snorkeling. In each case, our guides were incredible, knowledgeable, and proud to show off the local areas and history. They made us feel right at home and part of Belize.

The food and drinks are both of extremely high quality. We enjoyed the revolving menu at the restaurant and found the bar staff delightful.

At the resort, each staff member makes an effort to know your name right away. Several people knew our names after meeting us only once, and everyone was so polite and genuinely enthusiastic to talk with us each day, always ready with a smile and a "hello" no matter what time of day or night.

Accordingly, I want to take a moment to personally thank the following Hamanasi staff members, as they all contributed to what was a truly memorable trip for me and my wife. This is by no means a comprehensive list, as everyone at the resort is stellar, but these are the people we interacted with the most: Ector, Nelson, Sheree, Rosalyn, Delvin, and Ronnie in the restaurant, our great driver Bern, our adventure guides Victor, Lorenzo, Neal, Beaver, Ash, and John, front desk staff Gilroy, Stacy, and Erin, bar staff Ambrosio and Mark, and Carlos at the adventure center. Everyone listed here went above and beyond and I wanted to recognize them.

In general, my wife and I would recommend Hamanasi to anyone looking for A+ service and surroundings. We miss our time in Belize already and hope to return to Hamanasi for an anniversary trip in the future. Thank you all so much!

I m dissatisfied and displeased with the customer service at Hamanasi Dive shop because it was more than a misunderstanding in communication about diving tours. 1) It was lack of professionalism and 2) a DESCRIMINATION against a Belizean. Carlos, I reiterated my desire about diving two days with your company. You told me that nobody had signed up for it yet, but you would let me know by the end of the day if I provided you with contact information. I left my email and I told you to call my hotel to leave a message in any case. You say would call about 4 but you didn t. when my hotel called Hamanasi later that day; Hamanasi said at first that they did not know anything about it. In addition, there was a diving tour but the boat was already full. Really? Was it because I am Belizean ? Was it because Hamanasi makes a larger profit with foreigners? Declined Hamanasi s offer about diving with the lionfish group or the diving group because they were trying to make room for me. I think was disdainful - and that s the ambiance I felt when I made my enquiry. Contemptuous.

In July 2016, we stayed at Hamanasi for 10 days. We are an "older couple", have traveled extensively to many places in the world, and this is the first hotel worth a 100% grade! The setting of the resort is magnificent: stylish building, large pool, tree houses, all in the middle of lush vegetation. However, the uniqueness of the resort comes from its dedicated staff. The 130 employees delivered impeccable and personal service to the guests occupying the 25 rooms. Yes, it is a ratio of 3 employees per customer! Everyone is so friendly and genuinely caring. This is a small boutique hotel, catering to young and old looking for adventures and/or quiet time. The service is 5*.

Hamanasi gave my new husband and I the honeymoon of our dreams! The resort was beautiful! The staff were so gracious and kind and have really dialed in on true hospitality. By the end of our trip we felt like the staff were our friends! The food for every meal was something to look forward to and delicious! And the adventures left us with memories we will never forget. Hamanasi made the entire process of booking the resort, flights, checking in, and checking out seamless. It truly is the best all inclusive resort in the world! We have so many other places in the world to visit, but Hamanasi will definitely be on our list to visit again. We can't wait!

Upscale lodging with great food and friendly service.

My wife and I spend a week at Hamanasi and had one of our best vacations ever. Everything about the resort was fantastic - the Hamanasi staff got to know us in the first two days and made us feel like we'd been going there for years. The adventures were very good (we did two hikes, two snorkel trips and a Mayan Ruins trip) and the relax time was what we needed. We used the hammocks & kayaks a lot, and drinks on the beach hit the spot. We stayed in a tree house which was pretty amazing.

We would definitely recommend Hamanasi!

My wife and I went to Hamanasi for our honeymoon and couldn't be happier with our experience! Resort was quiet, clean and beautiful. The staff really put the resort over the top though, never in my life have I been treated so well by staff and they really made the stay as special as it was. Do NOT hesitate to go here if you're looking at Belize!

This year was our 3rd trip to Hamanasi and each time they go above and beyond our expectations for a resort. The people are nice, the resort is well maintained, Dive and shore trips are top notice and the food... the food can only be described and fantastic.

This was my first visit to the resort and it won't be my last. My experience was beyond my expectations. I had no complaints about my time there. The staff goes out of their way to make sure that you have everything that you need. The whole resort was kept clean and the grounds were kept clear of debris. The onsite restaurant's food was delicious. The bar served tasty drinks, they never skimped on the alcohol. My pictures shows deluxe tree house #26. While there are other rooms around you, the canopy gives you plenty of privacy. It's great to have the dive center on site. The boats are a short walk from the beach. For those who dive, please take a moment to learn about the resorts efforts to help the reef by hunting Lionfish. You can eat your catch from that day.

Enjoyed 10 days at this paradise on Earth! Worth every penny and would do it again in a heartbeat. We enjoyed the deluxe tree house for our anniversary and it was magical. The space is so romantic, spacious and offers everything you need for the two of you. I'm so glad we picked it; there's a hot tub on the back deck outside the bedroom and a hammock on the front deck! The beauty of being in the canopy of lush trees watching tropical birds was so tranquil. The staff was what made it even more special. We fell in love with the amazingly attentive staff. And the food... I couldn't wait to see what the chef was offering each night that was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed a sunset cruise and a candlelight dinner on the beach with full service. We went on the exciting adventures they offer and saw so many incredible things. This was in 2012 and I can't wait to return. Thanks for the memories Hamanasi!!!

Best place we've ever stayed, hands down. Hamanasi gets everything right; genuine customer service without seeming stuffy, delicious food, great drinks. The property looks like what I imagine Heaven to look like; beautiful, lush jungle right next to the ocean. We went diving every day and laughed and made friends with the dive masters and other guests on our trip. Splurge for the treehouse, you won't be disappointed! Can't say enough good things and CAN'T WAIT to go back!

Outstanding resort. From the dive staff to the rooms the the adventures, you're well looked after at the Hamanasi. This was our second trip there and loved it as much as the first time. The people are friendly, the food is great and the hammocks on the beach have your name on them. Plan in advance - they book up a year in advance.

It's the staff that made our 5-night stay so memorable. By the first day, they all knew our names, and they consistently bent over backwards to make our stay perfect! The location is idyllic, and the adventures were sufficiently challenging. The staff guides were always there to help us manage the physically difficult parts.
I would highly recommend staying in a treehouse room. Each one is isolated, yet convenient to the main building. It's wonderful to have a forest canopy view from every window.
I would definitely return. It will be like returning to a fantastic second home. After two weeks, I'm still mellow.

We are returning guests to Hamanasi and loved our trip just as much as the last time. The dive team is the absolute best - we have scuba dived in many places in the Caribbean but have never felt as safe or seen as many creatures as at Hamanasi. In addition, the resort is stellar and everyone remembers your name and greets you kindly. The bartenders make the tastiest cocktails we've ever drank. We also love Hopkins because you are in walking distance to more touristy activities to the south and more authentic Garifuna culture to the north. Can't recommend this place enough - we'll be back again!

I dropped in for happy hour one evening to connect with some expats and see the resort. The appetizers and Belikin stout were a nice treat after a long day. This is a beautiful hotel and dive shiop combination resort.

I got married here last week and everything was perfect.. The food was outstanding, the staff was awesome, the adventures were unbelievable, and our tree house was unforgettable. I could not have been more pleased with my stay at this resort. Larry your the man and I really appreciate the way u treated my family and me. Also shout out to the Tango s . We visited the Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort near Hopkins Village, Stann Creek, Belize, in February of 2014 and were delighted with everything the resort offered. Our well-appointed,comfortable beachfront room came with a porch complete with table, chairs, and hammock and gave us a view of the sea. Our excursions included one to two Mayan ruin sites, a canoe trip on the Sittee River, two snorkeling trips to the reef, a fishing trip, a hike in the Jaguar national park, and a boat trip on Monkey River. All of them were fun and informative because of the expertise and knowledge of the guides. Two other outstanding aspects of the resort were the food and the staff. All meals included exotic local foods with a variety of choices and were consistently delicious. What made all of this possible was the excellent staff who were always polite, friendly, and well organized. Being greeted by name was an unexpected pleasure. The staff also are open to suggestions and willing to make changes such as arranging custom excursions by providing a van and a driver. However, lounging by the pool or taking a stroll on the beach or through the property suited us as well. This ecologically minded resort should also be commended for composting its vegetable waste and for other measures to minimize its impact on the environment. In short we would give every aspect of Hamanasi an excellent rating.

My girlfriend and I went to Hamanasi for a 7 day get away, and I have to say it was an incredible experience. The customer service and attention to detail was top notch. After only a couple of days everyone addressed us by name and knew our full itinerary. I have a gluten allergy, so that's always a concern when traveling, but Hamanasi grows a lot of their food onsite. Also they were able prepare pancakes, gluten free breads, and overall make it feel like having a personal chef. We did a few of the excursions while we were there. The ATM tour mentioned in national geographic, snorkeling, the boat tour to see the howlers, the magical Mayan history tour, zip-lining, and the mayflower waterfall and jungle hike. It was a great combination of history and adventure. Definitely bring water shoes if you plan to do the ATM and hiking boots if you plan to do the mayflower tour. We stayed in one of the tree house rooms, and It was beautiful. On the last day we were able to have masseurs come to the room, and my girlfriend was also able to have someone local do her hair. It provided the feel of staying in the jungle with all the amenities of a top notch resort. Hamanasi has something for everyone. Just thinking of the sunsets while laying in a hammock on the pier and all the stars at night makes me want to go back. It truly is a magical place.

My husband and i visited Hamanasi in March for our honeymoon and we could not have been happier! From the moment we booked our trip until we landed back in the states, the Hamanasi staff were extremely helpful, informative, and a pleasure to work with. upon arrival, our luggage was taken to our room for us while the staff gave us our orientation to tell us everything we needed to know about our stay, what was included, what wasnt, if there was any special requests we had, etc. We then met with the adventure coordinator to confirm our excursions. They organized our trips to best fit our schedule for the week which was wonderful because not only did it allow for more time to enjoy the beach and village, but we ended up having our own private tour guide for two of our excursions! Everyone at Hamanasi is wonderful. They knew our names by the end of the day when we got there and everyone always greeted us and made sure our stay was going perfectly throughout the week. Although not much time is spent in the rooms, they are clean and beautiful, each with your own hammock on the back deck. The housekeeping staff do a wonderful job of keeping the rooms clean, changing our the towels, turning down the bed at night, etc. (and are very trustworthy)!

We chose the Antelope waterfall hike, the cave and jungle tour, and the zipling as our three adventures. The first two were included in our package while the ziplining was an upgrade which we paid extra for however, we were given a credit on our account for the included adventure that we did not use. The waterfall hike is an absolute MUST. While the hike itself is a true workout, the refreshing natural pool at the top makes it all worthwhile!
The ziplining is great for thrill seekers! The views are impeccable and the breeze feels great after the long hike at Antelope falls!
The cave and jungle tour was great as well and not at all what i expected. If you're not afraid of a little rock climbing, this adventure is for you! This adventure also ends with a dip in a beautiful, natural pool to cool off. The tour guides for all of our adventures were wonderful. They truly love what they do and have an abundance of knowledge to share about all things Belize!

If you prefer to stay near the resort, theres plenty to do there as well. There are kayaks and paddle boards available for use at anytime. There are also bikes for use which are great to take a ride into the village. The people of Hopkins, Belize are all very friendly and welcoming! There are a few local shops and restaurants near the resort as well, some of which have live music at night. The food at Hamanasi however, is incredible!
And i promise, you will never go hungry!

This was my husband and I's first time planning a trip like this by ourselves and Hamanasi made it so simple! From organizing our flights from Belize city to Dangriga, coordinating our adventure trips, and everything in between, the Hamanasi staff made this our honeymoon unforgettable and we cant wait to go back!

*A few things i wish i had known: There are a lot of complimentary items in the rooms! They provide shampoo/conditioner (more than enough for the week), lotion, q-tips, cotton balls, sunscreen/bug spray (located near the entrance to the guest house for everyone to use), beach towels, and water bottles to take on your adventures (and home). All of these things really make a difference when you're trying to keep your luggage under 50lbs!

Hamanasi is an exceptional resort. The customer service is wonderful. The staff adapts to their guests' needs and schedules. They work as a team so that guests feel truly catered to throughout the visit. The deluxe tree house was spacious, lovely and so comfortable. Loved the double shower for rinsing off after dives. My 12-year old daughter earned her open water dive certification with instructor C-Dog. Snorkeling guide Medel took photos for us during a snorkeling trip. The boat captain found an area where spotted eagle rays were feeding and we jumped off the boat to see a dozen or so rays eating just feet away. The adventure trips were all wonderful. Best vacation ever!

As a frequent traveler we are astute critics of customer service and Hamanasi has very GOOD customer service. The staff is very attentive and well trained and everyone at all levels of service will greet you with a smile and a good morning . Our room was lovely a beachfront. Comfortable great bed, shower, storage. The grounds are immaculate. The restaurant food was superb and the service in the restaurant was excellent. They have an organic garden on the premises so there are fresh herbs and veggies. There is also a pond where you can sit and watch the birds and turtles so take a walk around.

We chose birdwalks, snorkeling, and a visit to the Mayan ruins as adventures, and an additional paid for visit to the chocolate factory. (Reasonably priced). We especially enjoyed the Mayan ruins and the chocolate factory which was very interesting. The guides are very good. Special thanks to Melanie and to Lorenzo ( great guide). Melanie was quick to offer anything we requested.

We had a beachfront room which ended up to be next to the bar probably would choose a tree house the next time if we go back. Without the air conditioner and fan we we could often hear the music. They had two nights live music in the restaurant the drums and singing were great, the mariachi band - not so much. As we were close to the bar though wi-fi was available in the room.

All in all Hamanasi is a great choice and they excel at service. I would highly recommend it.

A beautiful environmentally friendly hotel surrounded by tropical nature along the sandy hopkins beach in Belize. They use ecological and eco-sustainable materials, and they also serve vegetable and fruit dishes produced by them. Very efficient and professional service and staff, very large and comfortable rooms. Excellent website, clear and with no surprise. Keep in mind that the papataci are massively present as in all the Caribbean, so it is necessary to stick with specific products continuously. Excellent adventures and organized trips with highly trained and professional staff. Very accurate and abundant dishes.

Hamanasi surpassed all expectations that we had, even with it being our honeymoon. EVERY single employee went out of their way to get to know our names, our preferences and our background. They were so helpful in planning our excursions and one staff member even decided to go with us on an excursion on her day off! The excursions we did were incredible! We did snorkeling, the Mayflower hike and the ATM Cave Tour. I can't begin to describe how amazing the staff were and the ease of booking and transportation made everything that much better. The entire resort was so clean and they inconspicuously cleaned our room multiple times a day. We stayed in a deluxe treehouse which was huge, private, comfy and made you want to actually hang out in your room while on vacation. The food was incredible and left us coming home fat and happy! We can't say enough good things about Hamanasi, the employees or our time there. We typically don't like to go to the same vacation spot twice but have already agreed that we will definitely be coming back here!

We just spent 8 fabulous days at Hanamasi Resort outside of Hopkins Belize. I cannot describe the beauty, kindness and professional manner at this fantastic resort. We were fortunate to have our 2 adult daughters join us for part of the trip and that made it even more special. From the time we were met at the airport to the trip back to the airport (Arnie), we were treated like family, friends and important customers. Every employee was so genuine in their treatment of every guest and their desire to be helpful when needed was without comparison to any place I have ever visited. From the folks in the Adventure Center (T and team), to the great guys at the bar (Mark and crew) to the young man who kept the pool area always ready for his guests (Alex) to the great guys on the boats (Ash, John, Home Alone and crews) to the lovely folks in the dining area (Rosie, Ector, Sheron and team). My wife and daughter went on the Mayan tour and Dan made it a very special trip. You should also go with Neal to the river canoe float. it was beautiful and the animals that Neal pointed out made it very special. You should also do the chocolate tour. Who knew that money does grow on trees. We thank Golden for taking us on that trip. I would not want to forget the great folks at the front desk that were so helpful for any little thing or big thing, thanks Karina and team.

All in all, the resort is 5 stars in quality, kindness and beauty. You can be as busy as you want or you can just enjoy the beauty of the beach, hammocks on the pier ready a book or the beautiful pool.

BTW - The tree house rooms are about the coolest thing in the world.

Delicious food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Our waiter Ambrosio remembered and welcomed us by name since our first trip there in August. Definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful place, diving, food and staff. We completed 11 dives in 5 days and enjoyed our time in Belize. On our last day we took the Mayan Tour and learned a bit about the Mayan culture. Everything was truly done with excellence. The restaurant had a great variety to choose from each day and the food was excellent. The key lime pie was the best that we have ever had! Thank you Hamanasi for helping us have a great trip.

We just got back from Hamanasi... Wow!
We went for a vacation diving adventure and had a blast! We did several excursions, diving, snorkeling and the Mayan tour. They were all fantastic! The staff is super friendly and the food was fabulous. The afternoon breezes on the beach was so nice, especially while lounging in a beachside chair or hammock. We stayed in the beach view rooms, which are surrounded by tropical plants and trees that are as beautiful as a botanical garden. The grounds are immaculate and are maintained daily. The tour guides are native to the area and are very knowledgeable. The dive and snorkel teams work hard to find interesting fish, turtles and sea life for you to enjoy swimming with and see. This was our first trip to Central America. Hamanasi was better than we could have imagined. We highly recommended it!

Top notch resort - I'd give them 10 stars if I could! We were there for a week with other adult family members and were spoiled from the time we arrived in the Dangriga airport until we were returned to the airport on the way home. The resort is small and quiet, right on the beach, nestled in trees for shade. The food and excursions are all included in the price, and everything was excellent. We felt like part of the family, right from the start. Everyone we came in contact with knew our names and made sure we had the best service possible. Our first day there was rainy, so we needed to postpone our planned excursion to the jungle and Angel Falls, but they came up with an alternate trip for us that was just as wonderful where it was not rainy, so we toured the Mayan Ruins earlier than we had planned. Many of the other guests were also there for their 2nd or 3rd visit, so I know we weren't the only ones that felt the same way! But no TV's anywhere, so if you just want to sit in your room and watch TV - you will be disappointed. I found the break quite refreshing!

My wife and I recently stayed at Hamanasi to celebrate our 15th Anniversary. It was marvelous! They have the warmest, most attentive staff (but never intrusive) I ve ever experienced. I don t know what they do to train the staff, but it works.

The location is great and affords guests many good options for active adventures. Access to good snorkeling and diving is easy and with well-trainer guides. (There is also scuba training on site.) The resort is right on the beach, and we spent many relaxing hours reading in hammocks - it s the quintessential picture of relaxation.
I rode a Hamanasi bike into the nearby small town of Hopkins. We went canoe-ing on the nearby river and saw some giant iguanas eager (the males) and less eager (the females) to mate! We took a short ride to go bird watching with terrific guides from Hamanasi and saw toucans, parrots, a rainbow bunting, and so much more.

We also went to Mayan ruins (2.5 hours drive) and had an outstanding tour with a Hamanasi guide.)

There are also more physically challenging adventures.

All of that stuff was wonderful, but what is extraordinary about Hamanasi is the staff. We had the best experience, and all the guests felt similarly. They knew our names and were very accommodating with my wife s challenging food allergies. The food was very good, the cocktails excellent.

At Hamanasi everyone says good morning and hello - the groundskeepers, the security staff, the office staff. You get a warm feeling just walking around.

I highly recommend Hamanasi. While we were there we met a couple who were there for their twelfth time! It s not often that I hope to go back to the exact same place for vacation (with so many interesting places to visit), but I would love to return to Hamanasi and have been telling everyone about it.

It is not inexpensive, but I felt it was an excellent value. For what you experience, it was worth it.

This place is AMAZING! Truly stunning. My husband and I went for our honeymoon last October. We got a package and stayed in the deluxe tree house. It was breath-taking. It was quiet, private, but had great activities, a bar and restaurant. We went hiking, to a jaguar reserve, snorkeling, scuba diving. Every single staff member is kind, knowledgeable, incredibly friendly. They all knew our names and which house was ours. The food was beyond delicious. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this fantastic place!

Everything positive I read about Hamanasi was true. The food was amazing - everything is home made and delicious. Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. The excursions were all fabulous and the guides, both for land and reef excursions, were incredibly knowledgeable and delightful. The wait staff and front desk staff were all so friendly and always willing to help.

The grounds were beautifully maintained and the housekeepers always made sure our room was well taken care of. On top of all that, the resort is truly dedicated to sustainability and being green.

We did 5 excursions while there and all of them were first rate. The Mayflower hike and the cave jungle tour were strenuous and challenging, but what a sense of accomplishment when we completed them. Snorkeling and diving were fabulous as well, and we were one of the lucky guests to see a 12' manta ray up close and personal while snorkeling.

I cannot say enough about Hamanasi and our fabulous experience there. The diversity of the guests was refreshing and we truly enjoyed every staff member we met. We can't wait to go back!!

Great views, secluded spaces, well manicured grounds, nice pool area, nice in room accommodations, you can arrange to be picked up in the city or at the Dangriga airport... Prices are what you would expect from a jungle/seaside resort in a Caribbean destination... Booking is 6 months in advance at the time of this review 04/2018...

Our second visit to Hamanasi, and the second visit was even better than the first. The staff is so friendly. They go out of their way to call you by name each time you visit the restaurant, adventure center or where ever you go. The dive staff places safety at a premium and makes sure that everyone can see all the creatures we happen upon. Food is outstanding, drinks are well made and quickly served. The adventures are great. I cannot say enough positive things about this resort. It has become a part of our vacation rotation.
