I ve never been to a performance in Illinois and this a really great experience. I expected more like a one on one talk but I understand because of Covid. I wish someone could or ask me to talk a mechanic If had any questions regarding my vehicle(modding, tuning, etc).

Good service. They are currently working on my car, nothing major I hope ! Just its annual service. Good team you can count on.

They found my problem and fixed don t need to say more, very happy with the outcome.

Honestly disappointed. I had an issue with my transmission, and my car had to be towed here. I was told on the phone that it was $142 to diagnose the problem, however if I chose to have the issue fixed there I wouldn t have to pay this fee. They called me the next day and explained they are just going to flush the transmission and replace the fluid and hope for the best. Fast forward two days later and they call and said that while it appears that it s working fine now they don t know how much damage there could be. And I m grateful thats all it was. I paid the bill and went on my way. The following day I was looking at my receipt and I got charged for the diagnostic fee that they said would be waived if the issue was fixed there. I called and tried talking to them and at first they said flushing it wasn t a repair . Then I was told well transmission fluid is expensive. I explained yeah I know I paid a separate $80 for that. Well it took time to do it. Well yeah I paid $105 for the labor of doing that. I would just like a refund of my $142 that I was told I wouldn t have to pay and they should explain to people that there is an obvious minimum amount they have in mind of what you need to spend to have that fee waived.

Update: was told to reach out. I reached out via email and never received a response. I figured since calling didn t bring any result last time I would email.

Excellent service. Fair pricing. Completely open to what needs to be done and what does not need to be done. Will be returning.

I had tires shipped there from the Tire Rack and they were able to get them mounted without scratching my recently refurbished wheels.

I also had an oil change and inspection and they found a bad control arm and replaced that at a reasonable price.

No one can compare to Fluid. They literally bent over backwards and provided unbelievable service at an incredibly fair price. With an old Audi, I have dealt with a lot of repair shops over the years and am fortunate to have been referred to these folks. I will never take a car anywhere else. Simply fantastic.

When I bought my Maserati Granturismo a year ago I had Fluid MotorUnion inspect it top to bottom and discovered that the valve cover gaskets were seeping. They said eventually I would have to have them replaced when they start to leak down. Well a year later I smelled oil burning and called them. Got me in next day, they communicated with my aftermarket warranty and got everything covered by them. My only cost was a drive belt they discovered needed replacement that I actually knew about but forgot to tell them and they found it anyways. I won t take my Maserati or my wife s Porsche Macan anywhere else.

Really down to earth. Got the job done. Worked with me on the price. The front desk lady is super helpful and really cares about the clients. I'm going back for break lines soon.

These guys are the best. They are by far the most knowledgeable and honest mechanics I have ever dealt with. OJ was extremely professional and was able to figure out an idle issue with my car that no other shop has been able to figure out. They work on any and every type of vehicle, any type of job. I won't bring my vehicles anywhere else from on!

Fluid Motor Union is the place to go for friendly and quality service for your automobile at an affordable price. I have a 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS 500 and the expert mechanics with extensive experience with all makes of foreign vehicles have been taking care of my Benz for over three years and they keep it running like new! Recently, my CLS needed front struts and transmission work; the mechanics at FMU took care of the problems and my CLS is running again like a Mercedes-Benz CLS should!

My BMW M5 had never run quite right. I took it to several mechanics to diagnose the problem which wasn t showing up in an engine code with no solution. Fluid Motor Union took the time to fix the difficult problem. My car works better than it ever has! They were methodical and thorough and gave me confidence that my car (that I m slightly obsessive about) was in good hands. There were no new scratches on the paint or soil on the interior. Top notch work.

Recent oil and AC service made just completed annual road trip to northern MN another flawless drive...I appreciate you folks keeping me in a safe and dependable car that I enjoy driving, though it's 15 years old!

I have been taking my car to FMU for the last 10 years. They have a very talented team that can handle simple oil changes / fluid flushes to more advanced engine and transmission repairs. Additionally, they do kickass work on custom modifications and enhancements (like exhausts, engines, etc.) . If you have a foreign car (which FMU is very experienced with) or a domestic car you will be in good hands with them.

Service is very top-notch and pricing is very competitive. FMU will be very honest with you in terms of what needs to be done, what should be done, or what is a nice to have.

Fluid Motor Union is a great shop. Very accommodating and reasonable. I have been coming here as a customer for 5 years. As a retail customer, they treat me the same as from the day I first stepped foot into their shop. They treat you as one of them, they are on your side, they are dedicated to making sure you are satisfied from the front desk to the last wrench that touches your car. OJ is an amazing tech, he is a straight shooter, very personable and tells you how it is, he will not waste your time and is dedicated to his staff and customers. The quality of work and customer service is top notch. Both times I have been in they offered advice and options to choose from with no sales pressure. While my SUV was in they inspected it and offered to fix any issues at a very reasonable price and offer assurances the SUV was otherwise in good working order. I have been bringing my cars here for years for service and modifications and couldn't be happier. They do fast and thorough repair work when necessary with very reasonable pricing. I have brought an R8 and a Huracan to them for exhausts, both of which have been some of the best sounding exhausts my friends and I have ever heard. Power gains were definitely noticeable in lower gears which was a big plus! I highly recommend you take advantage of FMU's commitment to service and quality.

Work is BETTER than a dealership because FMU never tries to do more than what is necessary or recommended for the best life of your vehicle. OJ, Marilyn and crew are second to none one of the best vehicle repair/performance shops I've taken my car to for service. I've been going to them ever since the old and now a new location in Naperville and have not been disappointed. They truly are passionate and masters at their craft and always meticulous when it comes to diagnosing issues. Then they'll provide your best options available based on your situation. You'll never go wrong taking your vehicle to them. I can attest to that.

Marilyn & OJ are great. You feel the passion and transparency from the minute the conversation begins. The shop is a hidden gem. Moved out here from AZ 5yr ago and found fluid motor through a recommendation. They take care of my Denali Yukon & Roush Mustang. Would not take my car anywhere else. Customer forward attitude. They don't recommend any work they wouldn't recommend for their own vehicle. No job too small for this high end shop. Feels like a neighborhood mechanic shop.

Took my new to me 09' E90 335xi in to be given the once over and for all the fluids to be swapped. This is my first BMW and first time at this shop. Found them after seen numerous post on Facebook and Reddit of the work they do.

First thing you will see is a parking lot full of super cars! That alone should speak for their work. There are some absolutely stunning cars to say the least. Secondly, walking in the door I was welcomed warmly by Marilynn, she is amazing and wonderfully helpful! If she did not know how to answer my questions, she very quickly found someone that could. The customer lounge is exactly that, a lounge. Car stealerships wish they were this nice. WiFi, snacks, drinks, coffee, TV, and an xbox are all there for you to pass the time.

I then spent a lot of time talking about my car with OJ, one of the owners and founders of Fluid. This man knows his stuff! Spent a lot of time talking about my future plans with it and the subtle nuances of BMW ownership. He personally showed me around the shop. Met Craig, the fabrication genius whose welds I have seen all over the internet.

I left knowing my car was well looked after and in great working order. It goes without saying that I will be back... and not just for routine service. This shop turns out serious cars, maybe mine will make that very amazing list!

As always, friendly, thorough and trustworthy workmanship. I will never be going back to a dealership for routine maintenance work again and will be letting FMU take care of all of my car s needs. Next on the agenda is some tuning work to make the Maserati faster!!!

My car had hit a curb and needed an alignment. I called and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. The facility is top notch with best customer service. I don't have a Ferrari or the Lamborghinis that they usually work on but they treated my car just as such.

Quick turn around and not over charged like many other mechanical locations. I can't recommend fluid more than I already do. Go to them and they will take care of you like you're royalty.

Marilyn and OJ are great. I ve brought my car in several times asking FMU to check the brakes and twice now, they ve told me I don t need brakes. I think most other shops would have been happy to sell me new brakes whether I needed them or not but Marilyn and OJ have always been honest with me, even at their own expense.

Even though these guys are super busy, they worked me in on Saturday for oil change, prices are very reasonable, and they treat you like family! This place is super nice, super knowledgeable people! Definitely from now on bringing all my cars there, and would recommend to anyone!

While it s never a pleasure taking one s car in for repairs, I know that when I take my BMW to FMU, I ll get the right service at a fair price. The owner OJ, has always taken his time to speak with me both personally and professionally. As an enthusiast about cars and mine in particular, my opinion with them counts. Not only are they a repair facility , but they can do speciality work as well.
My recent visit was for the inpection II and because they know my car and what maintenance I perform, they were able to shedule those requirements along with another needed repair that we discusssed after a test ride with their technician and myself. FMU will provide what you absolutely require, tell you what your options are while also informing you what s not necessary at the time. The team there always gives you updates as they progress and that makes for a relationship I can trust. When your vehicle is sick and not performing well, FMU is the Doctor for your ride.

I ve been going to Fluid Motor Union for over 5 years now. I purchased a Fisker Karma and i was freaking out because i couldn t find a near by Fisker dealer. Luckily these guys can fix anything haha! This was the most transparent mechanic shop I ve ever dealt with . Their prices were more than fair and they don t fix anything until they send you a detailed invoice and go over it with you. I also take my wife s Range Rover here for all the regular maintenance! I ll never go to another shop as long as these guys are around ! Don t change a thing guys !! Thanks for everything!

Best place ever to take your vehicle for any vehicle service. This place is better than any car dealers service department and costs less. The customer service is outstanding. I was looking for someone to work on my 1986 Corvette. It was running rough and I could not fix it myself. Contacted Chris the service writer and he couldn't of been more professional and nice and took me in the next day. Called me after 1 hour of working on it to give me a update. Told me exactly what it was and they fixed it plus more. Car is running 10x better now. They have my business forever. Owner was so nice and she was great too. THANKS AGAIN!

JON and his mechanics are the best of the best. They installed a lowering kit on my sons 2016 RAM, it looks awesome. GREAT SERVICE!!!!!

These guys know what they're doing and they're really trustworthy. I brought my car in about a year ago for multiple issues. They fixed the immediate problem and told me of other things they found that really needed fixed. What I really liked about them is that they were very honest with me and told me I could fix the other issues but since my car was really old it might be better to just run it out and start looking for a new vehicle. They're the first repair shop I've ever been to that didn't just try to sell the repairs but openly discuss the pros and cons of the repairs and actually suggest not doing some things. I've been going back for oil changes ever since and love the service.

Excellent, professional service at lower cost than the dealership! I have used them several times for service on my BMW 535i and have always been well served and greatly satisfied. They provide a thorough and transparent diagnosis and a quick turnaround on the repair. I ve have used Fluid Motor Union for nearly a decade now. They ve always taken care of my maintenance & service work from my BMW SAV to my Toyota 4 Runner. Very trustworthy & honest team they have. They always inform you on what one may need to prioritize for repairs or what things can wait for a later date. Very Impressed with Fluid s digital Multi Point Inspection PDF they send you. This is the most comprehensive platform I ve seen from a Service shop hands down . Digital Inspection report is very visual & easy to follow, lets one know where the health of your vehicle is really at. Also providing photo documentation with explanations. This new Service platform is definitely raising the bar!

Worst shop I have used in a while. Was quoted one price and when it came to pay they try to charge me 3 times as much. They wouldn t release my vehicle without paying. Gonna go to better business bureau and file a complaint. They respond to every bad review the same way as if every customer does not exist and try to play the we don t have you on record game . I hope this place goes under. Just terrible service all around.

I was referred to fluid by a fellow M owner a few years ago..bought a BMW 750 and was able to use them for the first time. .my experience was great..better pricing than a BMW dealer with same quality of work..very clean shop..and honesty...that's the biggest plus...with just purchasing the car used I wanted everything up to date..they were beyond honest and did nothing to the car that didn't need to be done...very happy with this company

I took my Mercedes to get lowered a few weeks ago. I left the shop unsatisfied. A few days later, I received a call from ownership on how we and I can make things better. They invited me back into the shop and both parties expressed our respective issues and we came to a fair understanding. I also appreciated their reach out to understand the situation further. A bad situation turned into good and I hope my continued business will be as positive.

I never take my car anywhere else. I feel like they really care about me and my automobile. Great building in a nice location. Fair process. Stellar service. Friendly staff that do a great job.

I reached out to FMU to get a new exhaust/downpipes/intakes. As I am new to aftermarket car mods I was looking for advice and which way to go. I communicated through email mostly with a crazy woman and what I assume a teenage boy (Donnie), both of whom I would never put in charge of communication with a doorknob let alone my business. We ordered the parts, all fine and good, I paid upfront. After a few weeks I begin to wonder where these parts are as I saw on the vendor site that they might be back ordered.

This is where everything falls apart. The woman that answers calls doesn't know the difference between an exhaust and downpipes, which is something I would think that the person answering the calls for a business that only does car work might know. So she tells me all of the parts are in and to come on Tuesday. I show Tuesday to drop my car off and the exhaust isn't there lol. She threw a fit that she can't be in charge of knowing where all of the orders are and what the parts are, which is strange because I thought that was her job.

Then I get to work with Donnie, the most unaware customer service person I've ever met. Since Donnie couldn't figure out how to find where parts are from the vendor I had to try and track down where the parts are.. over a month after ordering them. Donnie then sends me an email to stop calling his vendors all over the country, that he has proof that I did this lol. The only person I called was the exhaust manufacturer, they called around to find where the part was.

This was the weirdest experience I've had with a company.. I can not show my dissatisfaction with a company more than this review.

At the end of the day, they gave me no discounts for all the trouble and name calling from their customer service. It was comical. In fact, I had to pay them $800 to put on the parts, which they ordered the wrong part for the downpipe, they ordered it for a RWD when I have an AWD so I had to take it off since it didn't sound right.

And Donnie told me to go to Blood Type Racing for further work since they know my car better. What a joke of a place. I'm guessing this business was built on the backbone of OJ the owner who is technically sound, but he gave his friends/family jobs and they're ruining it.

Excellent VW Service
I had to do a Tranmission service on my 17 Passat R line and the dealer told me that the service only included 3 quarts of oil and no filter change. They were asking close to $300 for 3 quarts of oil and labor. If I wanted to change the filter I had to pay an extra 2 hours of labor plus parts. Marylin at FMU did a no hassle service with full Tranmission flush and new filter with gaskets for 40% less than the dealer and on top of that they ran full diagnostics to make sure there were no gremlins in the car. The result was a really smooth shifting car and my gratitude. FMU is a straight shooter, they always provide with real advice on things going on with my car and the never will sell you something you don t need. They always are there to tell you what is urgent and what can wait.excellent service and they excel at technology! I got everything done via text. Talk about contactless service, Marylin knows a thing or two about that.

Been coming to FMU for service for a couple of years. They service my VW Phaeton and my Bentley Continental. They always do a great job on my cars, give me options for service, clean my cars interior before I get it back (appreciated) and charge a fair price. Very confident in their abilities.

Fluid is awesome! Great service and great people. They do an awesome job explaining what is wrong with my car or truck (in normal people terms) and telling me ways to prevent future problems.
