Used to be a great walk-in clinic. Now, I suggest you avois this place and go ANYWHERE else.

re: the walk-in clinic phone consultations. I have been on hold for over an hour. The machine tells me that my estimated wait time is 1 minute and I am 2nd in line... why is this taking over an hour and I still have not spoken to anyone?! This is just ridiculous.
I like my doctor at this clinic, however even their direct phone line is terrible service.. booking an appointment makes you feel like you are calling in to someone who doesn t care at all and they are never nice or receptive. Sometimes down right rude.
This place needs work.

It's currently 7pm. The clinic closes at 9pm. However their sign of "walk-in registration is now CLOSED" is up. Awful.

If I could rate a zero I would! Just drove 30 minutes to find out their one doctor was "tired and closing the clinic early". I don't care what industry you are in, there is no reason to close early and disappoint your customers.

Speaking mainly of the Optomitrist upstairs here (in 2015). Worst office i have ever been to. Very rude and insincere staff and nurses. Didn't even scan my old glasses. Never get your eye tests done here.

Now for downstairs. Dr Numair gets same review (2014). I almost went under the knife in ER at a hospital because an improperly diagnosed hernia. I did not have a hernia. Just inflamed nodes around my pelvis.

2020: Booked an online appointment for a very critical and serious mental health situation. Called twice during the day (after not receiving appt call) and was reassured twice that my doctor would call. Nothing. Next day I called to express the importance of speaking to my Doctor asap. She said she spoke with Strang directly and said he would call me personally around 5pm. No call was received. For the record Doctor Strang is an amazing doctor and I went to him for 7 years. He is an excellent doctor but the staff at the desk are completely useless, dishonest and will lie to your face just to get you off the phone.

Ok, so last year my doctor retired! I decided to use this place. What a joke! Since March I have never seen her (Qaderi) their is no reception and the auto service hangs up on me. This is horrible! I m switching as soon as I can. If I could give a negative star I would. You d think upon reading the other reviews they would make changes.

AVOID - Met with Dr. Johnson to treat our 1 year old daughter for pink eye. First visit, we were prescribed a oral antibiotic. (I thought this was odd as i thought pink eye was always eye drops, anywho as new parents we took the professionals opinion) after two days her eye got worse and she developed a fever. Back to see Dr. Johnson where he then proscribed a second oral antibiotic. After 3 days her second eye was now infected.
Just saw our family doctor today and found out that the antibiotics reccomend by Dr. Johnson the second time was a very poor decision as this type of antibiotic is suppose to be very harsh. Apprently it's rare adults even take it was it's so powerful.
Proper Pink eye drops proscribed, and she is already feeling better and her eye is less red.
This is my first review,I don't do things like this but the horrible experience we had i felt like I needed to share with others.

I've been coming to the family practice here for about 5 or 6 years now and if I could give anyone advice about this place it would be this: Run. Run far away in the opposite direction. It would be detrimental to your health to rely on this practice to provide you with care. Without hyperbole, Dr. Nick Riviera from the Simpsons is more qualified to call themselves "doctor" than the quacks who run this place.
Receptionist will only answer the phone when they feel like it. When they do get around to it, they honestly couldn't care less about what the reason is for you calling.
"Oh, you're out of your prescription and your pharmacy sent the request yesterday? Yeah, the doctor will get around to it today or tomorrow". If you're on blood thinners, enjoy the stroke or PE you're about to have because they don't care.
"Phones are answered Monday to Friday 8:30 am..." unless we don't feel like it then just keep calling until we turn it on. "You can book online by going to..." except YOUR family doctor doesn't allow online bookings, so enjoy waiting peasant.

I had a terrible experience specifically with Dr. Sadaf Khurshid Ahmed today. I felt that she was very impersonable and appeard to hate her job. Very blah, and unfriendly. I dont want to go into to much detail but I will say I woud rather see a Dr. who cares enough to crack a smile, ask questions and who at least tries to look like they genuinely care about the patients they see.

My family and I have been patients of Dr Salter for more then 30 years and now Dr Qaderi we have always had great experiences with both of them. Dr. Qaderi has a wonderful bedside manner and always answers any questions I may have.
The walk in clinic has always treated us very well and we have never experienced exceptionally long wait times.

This place is pathetic. They claim to be open until 9pm but I showed up with sick kid at 6:45 and they weren t accepting any more patients. This is why our emerg departments are overloaded with not urgent cases...

I got there before they opened and was seen quickly. The doctor prescribed me a medication that I told the receptionist I'm allergic to. Now I'm waiting at the pharmacy for the clinic to answer their phone to give me a different prescription. Also, the curtains dividing the "rooms" are screwed to the wall and therefore can't be washed and looked dirty, poor infection protocol policy. I won't go back.

It was clean, organize and have everything you need. Went to the walk in clinic and the wait is always very reasonable.

Really good health center though things can get a little slow in there but they do get things done right in the end.

The service is very slow and did not meet my expectation as a patient... I don t recommend this place.

I have been to this Clinic multiple times and been misdiagnosed by Dr Johnson multiple times , I will never go back.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Visited the walk in on Sunday December 10th with strep and a fever of 101.3...kept waiting for over 3 hours while my fever got worse, watched people that came in after me get looked at and released and listened to the doctors chit chat about personal issues. By the time one of the nurses realized I hadn't been attended to I was so upset and shivering that she couldn't get a good swab. When the doctor finally came in he didn't even examine me...just gave me a prescription for antibiotics and by the time I got home my fever was 102!
Clinics like this are the reason people choose to go to the ER for non emergency situations! I would have been patient if the doctors were actually doing their jobs in a timely manner and not forgetting people. It was unfortunate that this was the only nearby clinic opened on a Sunday...think this kind of defeats the purpose of a clinic for non emergency situations. I will never return to this clinic...next time I plan on visiting the ER.

Front desk was polite. Doctor moved fast and was accurate which is what I want in a walk-in clinic.

One star is too high!!! Showed up on a Saturday at 6:35 pm. They close at 9 pm. Called 3 times before going over to confirm they would take additional patients because I have gone there at 7:30/8 pm before and been turned away. Went up to front desk and see a sign that says they have closed registration for the night. Ask a nurse in the background if this is legit. She says yes and that The doctor can choose when they stop accepting patients and they only have one doc on that night. I ask her please I have two young children and I really do not want to drag them to emerge. She says she can t. I just don t understand. Why have late hours if you re going to close at the same time as any damn clinic? If you re not accepting more patients ANSWER THE PHONE. Do SOMETHING to make a decent effort to help your patients!!! The people!!! If you can t deal with working late then don t call yourself an urgent care clinic and list a 6pm closing time!!! It s simple!!! Very disappointed and very frustrated.

Doctor here is a joke. Wouldn't acknowledge what we said our sons illness was. Sent us home with cream for a rash pffff... idiot we told you he had a virus.
Went to our family doctor for her to say that yes in fact our son has a bad viral infection which requires antibiotics.

Walk-in clinic never answers their phone, multiple times I've had doctors push alternative medicine on me for things like KIDNEY STONES. Not to mention my Family Doctor who works in the building, Dr. Enas is impossible to get a hold of. THREE times, she has failed to call me for phone appointments (not called later... just failed to call at all through the day). Responding to requests for prescription renewals is spotty. A request through the pharmacy to renew script has been with her office for over a week and still hasnt been filled. So I made an appointment... and guess what?! She failed to call me (again).

This place needs to get itself sorted; both facility and doctors.

Was at the reception with my 3 yr old at least five minutes before 8:45pm. They refused said the clinic is closed.
Website info says they are open until 9 pm weekdays. It doesn't say anywhere that if the rooms are busy...at 830 they will not register patients.
Very rude front desk.
Will never be back. There are other options nearby.
If the owners care, they must take notice and impart training to staff on patient centered care customer service.

My wife has had a lump on her ankle for the past couple weeks, it's gotten to the point where she can't put weight on her foot, or walk properly.
She works in retail so this has been quite problematic.
We both booked off the only time we to see someone about the bump.
Not only was my wife reduced to tears by the doctors complete disregard for her well being, she failed to diagnose the issue and dismissed us without a follow up option or any direction whatsoever.
We didn't even get her name, conveniently for her, the blonde female "doctor"
This clinic is the worst I've been to by far, I highly recommend avoiding this location.
Save yourself the trouble and visit the clinic at Walkers and Uppermiddle.

My first experience was great because I found a wonderful family doctor out of it. The problem was when I returned to the clinic when my doctor was away. Dr. Johnson, to be specific, told me, after waiting 2 hours, that he could not help me because my situation was "too complicated" and to see my family doctor. I was impressed with the clinic up until that point. Who does that? How is diarrhea for 2 weeks too complicated? Order a stool sample...do something!

The absolute worst patient care I have ever experienced

Worst place ever... went there cause it was close... Rude n racist doctor, rude staff. No communication between nurses. Will never go back!! Update: the pharmacy is the worst too!!

Went to the clinic at 730pm with my 3 year old daughter that had obvious signs of pink eye that had become evident after waking up from a late nap.Upon arrival I noticed a sign that stated they weren't taking anymore patients for the day and the person in front of me, also with a toddler who had an earache, was turned away. They close at 9PM and there were 2 people in the waiting room. I asked if there was another place i could go and they said emergency. At what point do the staff and doctors assess the situation and make a judgement call to take a few more people in. Guaranteed they left by 8PM. I find it sad that this is what healthcare providers do and this is the system in place. No wonder the hospitals are full of people that could easily be seen by a doctor at a walk in, they are all being turned away and told to go to the hospital for their minor issues

Terribly disorganized, rude service. My family Dr is in the building and I sometimes visit the walk in. Recently my experience there has been awful. My Dr told me to come see her and when I arrived she was not in that day. They were completely unapologetic and disrespectful. Looking to switch family Doctors

Most disrespectful and entitled reception staff ever. I came in around 1:20 to book an appointment. There was one lady called Mahwish at the reception desk. She was having lunch at the reception desk!, but that s ok. I respected that and I gave her 10 minutes but she was still eating. I felt embarrassed to interrupt her lunch but I had to and I profusely apologized for interrupting her lunch and I politely asked her how can I book an appointment. She picked up her plate and simply left without saying a word or giving me eye contact, completely ignoring me. When I came back later she told me it s my lunch break and I should have respected that. There is no sign or communication from the clinic that lunch break is at 1 and she shouldn t be sitting at the reception desk if that s the case. Extremely terrible service. That s where our tax dollars go, to entitled staff that think they are doing something in excess of the job they are payed to do.

I was there today and left with my prescription however dr Johnson neglected to complete the dosage. The shoppers I deal with has been calling and has faced and I've called minimum 4x and let the iPhone ring over twenty times. Why publish a number if you have NO intention of answering it. I found another number at Haltin Health Care but the message is always the same ..we r helping other clients so call back and btw no capability for messages. HELP

I live in Milton, my doctor is in Oakville and I prefer to go to the Family Health Clinic on Walkers for all my x-rays and lab work because the staff, including counter, lab technicians and x-ray technicians are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.

Some reception staff are very disrespectful and behave as if they are entitled. Answering of phone calls is horrendous and they seem to be always on break. Even with an appointment it takes atleast an hour (on a good day) to see my family doctor. While my doctor is good, the service at the clinic is extremely pathetic. If they do not improve I am considering moving away from this clinic and find another family doctor elsewhere.

First visit with new family doctor Wendy Cui went great! No waiting time at all, we didn't feel rushed out either. The clinic was very clean and professional. :)

This is the place to come & loose all faith in Doctors & the Canadian Health System! I am surprised the government funds such a joint! Unprofessional, rude & absolutely useless! Make every attempt to avoid this place you will thank yourself for it.

Brought our 16 month old in because of a fever he had on and off for 2 weeks. Fever was 39.2 when we came in. There were 4 other people in the waiting room. We waited over 2 hours to see the doctor.

The staff are courteous and sooo helpful so that you understand your health issues and how to help yourself. Thankyou also to the Bloodwork team/the xray/ultrsound team and receptionists-your great works are so much appreciated for the Burlington community. "A big Thankyou to Dr Strang yesterday" for all his knowledge and helping me understand my xray and how to take the next step forward with my health issues". Not very nice there, came in with my mom who wasn't well . Wasn't even 9 and they were closed already, doctor was very rude and told us to go the ER. Not impressed, if this is our health care system, what a joke!!!! Should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!

This clinic does not deserve any rating. Not at all friendly staff. Freaking stupid front staff said registration is closed at 7:30pm although the clinic closes at 9pm. When asked why now she said because we have 10 patients already . Oh so that means it takes 1.5 hours for doctors to see that many patients. When I said outside the closing time is 9pm she said we leave at 9pm.
WOOOWWWW !!! What an answer. They dont value any life. My daughter threw up 2 times and i had to really see the doctor. Now emergency will take more than 2 hours !!!!!!

I have registered a doctor for since last year when she was accepting patients and no word from them after following up with them past so manh months.
Say once in a blue moon they see a patient they wont even spend complete 5 mins... duhh

I went here to get checked out for what turned out to be bronchitis. The doctor I saw told me I had tonsillitis...I had my tonsils removed when I was 3....

Abnormally long wait time, 1.5 - 2.5 hrs. Lack of empathy.

Fine once you get in. but its getting in that's the problem. I call and the machine tells me I can book online, even though when I try it says my doctor has no appointments... and then the phone rings and hangs up. I like my doctor but im not sure putting up with this clinic is worth it.

If being condescending to patients was in the Olympics, the front desk staff would have a gold medal. Giving two stars because we were admitted quicker than usual. The only upside is the convenient location.

Terrible...just terrible. My children were VERY VERY sick, and we arrived at 8:30...the place closes at 9, and some old "doctor" insisted on closing early, and not letting my children get the care they needed...we ended up spending 9 hours at Mac.

Worst experience at a walk in.

Went for a UTI at 7:30am and the doctor refused to prescribe anything as the strip test was negative.

I told her I knew what they feel like and I was positive this was it, but she said she could not prescribe anything until the urine culture came back. I told her I was in serious pain but she said because there's no fever so we can wait. She promised to call me the next morning with the results no matter what.

I waited in agony until the following afternoon and never heard from their office. I tried to call and the clinic doesn't have an answering machine. I had to go to another clinic to get antibiotics, where my pee lit up right away as the infection had gotten much worse after waiting.

Never coming back to this clinic.

Dr. Huma Numair is by far one of the worst family doctors I've encountered. Her standard mode is always rushed and impersonal. You leave her office feeling completely unimportant and only half looked after. Her staff, also in constant rush mode, consistently present an air of stress and frustration. They do not answer the phone and you end up feeling compelled to leave numerous messages. After calling multiple times today I finally received a call back after maybe the 10th call and 3rd message. On this call I was asked not to leave more than 1 message because they are extremely busy. While I understand that you are busy, your being busy isn't something I should have to concern myself with when it comes to providing good service. Perhaps Dr. Numair should hire more staff.

The service provided by Dr. Numair and her office, that you as a taxpayer pay for, is sub-standard at best. Unfortunately I am stuck with this family doctor until I find a new one which is proving to be extremely difficult...thanks wonderful Ontario government.

This review is public so I am hoping Dr. Numair will actually see it and perhaps even give a damn.

The doctor who treated me Dr. Thomas Johnson seemed not to be the most interested in being treating me . If he didn't want to be there , then be somewhere else instead of treating patients .. After he asked me my concern he spent the remainder of my visit looking at a computer screen , and when I asked him a question related to my visit , he totally ignored me and kept on typing and looking into a screen ..When he did decide to talk to me , he gave me a prescription and said i should be ok in 48 hours .. Such was not the case .
I did manage to get an app't with my family doctor 2 days later and he dis-continued the prescription given to me at the clinic .. gave me a prescription to relieve my pain , sent me for x-rays and a scheduled return visit in 5 days to drain the fluid on both knees and a cortisone injection .. This is a far cry from Dr. Johonson's words "you will be ok in 48 hours "

I was happy with the front desk reception as the lady was very polite and was good at her job .. My dislike in my experience was with DR. Johnson

No stars for me! Terrible service, DR s are never there or somehow on vacation. The phone service is terrible , your on hold for ever to be hung up on. Your better off calling 911

personally i think they book way too many people.

this result is two fold. too long of wait time AND when the doctor finally arrives, she isn't fully invested. because she is rushed.

first appointment i waited an hour. doctor finally came in and said to come back for a physical. all that wait and she didn't end up talking to me for more than a minute or two. despite other questions about my health.

so i come back for physical. waited another hour. doctor finally comes in. asks me a few questions. then says "i'll be back in 2mins"

20mins later she's still not.back ! and the receptionist brought in another patient into my room.

the doctor had moved onto another patient during my physical!!! maybe i'm impatient.

but this doesn't seem right to me at all.

It is 4:30 and this place is open till 9pm and they are closed for patient registration! That s 4.5 hours till closing time and they won t take any patients. This is ridiculous! I just drove from Freelton. Talk about a waste of time. I even tried to call before I left but no one would answer. I should have taken that as a warning.

Worst place ever...!!!! Took my son in for a sore throat they said its not strep.. 5 days later hes still complaining and I took him to family doctor where they found it was strep...we waited over an hour for nothing....dont go there let them close down ...thedoctors there are garbage and slow.

Terrible walk-in clinic. In particular Dr Johnston. He is very rude and unprofessional. I would not trust him.

I am a patient of Dr. Ashley Qaderi and went to see her today May 11th 2018. My appointment was for 3.20pm. I did not even see Dr. Qaderi as I had other appointments and obligations I could not be late for (Personally I do not like to keep people waiting). I had left the clinic at 4.20pm.
Not only did I wait an hour, I did see her run in 15 mins after my appointment time. Having to wait an hour to not even see the doctor is completely outrageous.
Appointments should not be booked if the Doctor cannot see the patients.
Please put clients health ahead of a pay cheque.

Came to a walking clinic with my Littel One on Sunday at 8:20pm. And they put a sign that registration stopped! A talked to receptionist all she said that they want to leave at 9:00pm and I can go to emergency if needed!!! I said it is about child health but all she was worried to leave work on time. Seems like I went to retail store not to a Health Clinic!

This place is poor excuse of a place that provides people with medical attention. The hours clearly state that they are open until 9pm, I got turned away when I showed up at 8:35pm saying that the doctor is not seeing any more patients. As one health professional to another, I really hope I never become like you, turning away people clearly in need of medical attention just to leave early on a Saturday night. Trust me if I didn't need your help I would not leave two screaming babies at home just to make you stay until your scheduled time of 9pm.
If you plan on going to this place be sure to call ahead to make sure the doctor is actually feeling like helping patient that day.

I have gone to this clinic on several occasions and received very friendly and professional service. My family doctor Dr. Ehsan is also in this building and she is absolutely wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better, more understanding, compassionate, supportive and friendly doctor.

Disgusting experience , if you are Muslim and didn't get your son circumcised at early age and he gets big inflammation on his manly area and A doctor says he needs to see urologist and get a referral from your family doctor , don't go to Doctor WANIA .
FIRST he will say nothing wrong since it is there is less inflammation comparing to yesterday, then even other Doctor says you need to see urologist , Dr WANIA WON'T WANT TO SEND You. then he will ask you Why you didn't get it done earlier since you are Turkish and Muslim, then after arguing with you he says he can send but then he still asks all cultural and religious oriented questions.
After you receive a call from his office saying that Dr Wania is not sure this time.
In the mean time you will be waiting and hoping that your kid situation doesn't get bad like that time again or even worst .
Let's hope none of us have problems just because he wants or doesn't want to send us to specialist. I m just speechless and so upset way than I have been treated in front of my son as well questioned about my race and background and traditions. I strongly believe it is none of his business neither it is professional to talk that way to the patient .
I have been with Doctor WANIA , each time, I visit him always problem always some concerns, any time I need a referral he is acting like he is doing a favor and each time I really needed to see specialist.
He asks all those kind of cultural or religious oriented questions so for him " it is just because he is curious "
First he sends to urologist and next you receive a call.oh well he doesn't think it needs other opinion while the other Doctor from same building thinks my son needs to see urologist in order to prevent any kind of problems in the near future.
Please if anyone knows how to put official complaint about this doctor , let me know .
I really don't want that anyone can be hurt or get more ill and sicker just because he didn't want to send any individual for second opinion or for referral to other specialist

Don't even deserve one star I'm fed up of trying to deal with Dr Saleem not professional and a major waste of time you will be skipped and be prepared to wait at least 2 hours to sit with her for 15 min and her to try and leave quickly out of the office.

Amazing staff. I needed help with some documentation for a doctor's note n they took very good care of me. Doctor's are friendly and work efficiently

The family practice offices AND the walk in clinic literally never answer their phone and don t take messages. I ve been trying to get through for 3 weeks.

Was visiting her from Edmonton Alberta and fell down stairs. Thought I broke my toes. I came in to very pleasant reception staff. Only waiting 20 minutes to get in. Another 15 to see doctor who was very though and polite. 10 minutes to get X-rays and 5 minutes to receive my very own DVD of my X-ray went back in and waited 15 or so minutes to see doc again and showed me xrays. Nothing broke but badly sprained. I was very impressed compared to ones back home. Great job everyone
