Went to the brewery for a "Moisture Festival". The beer & brewery were decent. El Camion mexian food is served here...I didnt' have any but it looked good. The "Moisture Festival" was great though! You should definitely check it out if you get a chance.

This place has good beer and cool viewing opportunities for the brewing equipment. The staff has been friendly every time I've been in.

The real draw for me is the Palladium theater in the back which hosts Moisture Festival, Frank Olivier's Twisted Cabaret, and all sorts of other incredible shows. Everything I've seen at the Palladium has been incredible, or hilarious, or sexy, or all of the above.

So the beer is great, the burgers are great but I really only come once a year to see the Panto. Always clever and original, never well acted or sung but it's really not supposed to be. This year had a bit of a difference in the cast from years past, but was still fun for the whole family. It's a noisy time so get rowdy and don't complain if others are as well. Sing along and audience participation is part of the act. Enjoy!

It's a wonderful place, great beer, good food... A shame they're closing the restaurant at the end of the week indefinitely! Been here a few times over the last several years and the quality has always been high. We'll miss it!

The kitchen here is phenomenal with their tasty food, and on Tuesdays it is one dollar can beer night. I can buy a delicious meal, as well as by multiple rounds of beer for my friends, and end up paying no more than $20.

As usual Hales is a great place to eat, drink and catch a show. Hales Palladium was a fun show for all ages. Rapunzelstiltskin is hilarious and interactive. Great for families and friends or dates who like to laugh. Have a beer and watch a comedy act already!

5 star because of the staff. If you get an opportunity to meet the brewery crew, take it! Great people in love with their craft.
The food is underrated as well. Solid home cookin. And the beer!! Hales has the best beer on the market fresh. Try a Kolsch on a hot summer day. Try the seasonals as they come out as well. Very good!

Years ago, before the condos took over, Hale's was the best place to eat in North Seattle. It has steadily gone downhill but has never been disappointing, at least until our last visit. It's been a few weeks but my sweetie is still remarking on how we got a cesear that was made with the rustiest, wiltiest romaine. We sent it back and got a much better salad, but were left wondering how it could have ever left the kitchen in the first place. Their beer will always be tops, but I'll eat elsewhere.

Nice brewpub and restaurant. Feels a bit kitschy having the building-within-a-building thing going on, but of course the beer itself isn't bad. The monthly IPAs are interesting, and there's a few Hale's beers of note which are always on draft, but beer connoisseurs are going to find more esoteric drinking at other Fremont breweries.

Bummer! Hales amazing menu is no more. El Camion is now operating there which brings my review up to 4 stars. Not that I don't like El Camion, but Hale's kitchen used to be a 5 star brewery restraunt :-)

I have only gone to the two Zydeco shows that have happened there. It's a good venue for dancing, good drinks and the food is delicious. The setup is a little strange. The food service and the bar are separate and you have to stand in different spots to order food or drinks. It's not clear and if you are standing in the wrong spot the staff tended to ignore you. However once that was navigated they were fine.

I almost turned away from this pub and brewery when I saw it was essentially in an industrial parking lot, but the front porch convinced me to give it a try and I'm glad I did. It is an absolutely perfect place to sit and relax, while the sun soaks away the hours while enjoying a beer. It got quite hot in the direct sun even on a breezy early spring day, but the beer was refreshing and kept it cool. The beer selection is awesome, as expected at a brewery. There is something for every taste from bock to IPA me even a kolsch. The kolsch and pilsner were the favorites on this warm day as they were clear, crisp, and refreshing. The Belgian Quad was very good for the variety but a bit heavy for the atmosphere. The brewery is also great for groups with so many choices and a number of size choices as well ranging from tasters to fill liters. Don't be put off by the location.

We usually stop in for something to eat and drink before shows at the paladium. The beer is good. The Mexicam food vendor utilizing the kitchen makes great grub. Large portions, very delicious. The wet burrito is fab. The separate beer and food ordering/pay locations at the same counter are a little weird. Stand in the correct position to order a beer or the staff won't acknowledge you. Once you figure out their process, it goes smoother.

Great beers, comfortable atmosphere, and friendly staff. I especially like the burgers - the 1/4 lb if not to hungry, but while both are cooked to order the 1/2 lb burger has enough heft so that a rare burger is rare.

Having brewed beer myself I love the smell walking through the door.

Great place for a beer and a bite!

Great place for a beer and a bite!

The Baked Brie was da bomb. Can't go wrong with warm creamy cheese in flaky puff pastry and drizzled with a tart berry compote! They even layer it over some mixed greens to make you feel kinda healthy. Warning: this is not at all healthy. But it feels like it. And that's good enough for me.

Hickory Smoked Pork belly. So good! The pork was tender and smokey and paired perfectly with the sweet potato and butternut squash hash and spicy pineapple jam. Such a great combination of amazing flavors!

Yaki Salmon Quinoa Saute. Can you say PACIFIC NORTHWEST? The salmon was solid, but the vegetables sauteed with the quinoa made this dish a 4 star for me. So tasty, and expertly cooked to the perfect texture. The fresh sweetness of the sugar snap peas, the satisfying crunch of the celery...mmm. Only complaint: it was a tad too salty. I reached for my water glass a lot. If you're okay with that, order this dish!

Hale's Ales is a great local brewery/brew pub. Great beer, good food, family friendly. Plus you get to see where the magic happens; the brewing equipment and bottling floor. Highly recommend especially for families with kids who enjoy craft beer!

I hope this is helpful. The kitchen is closed permanently. Like so many Seattle restaurants, even though they are great at what they do, is hard to compete with The Buzz of the new and exciting place. But since Hale's is foremost a brewery (and exceptional for British-style ales!) they're still serving as a tap room. Great beer for a fair price, plus some snacks to pull you through.

A rather quiet taproom, without the energy of a place like Reuben s, Maritime Pacific, Stoup, or Peddler.

Still has great beer. Kitchen closed permanently at the end of 2017. The vibe of the old Hale s is just not there anymore.

As of January 2018, food options are limited to 3 dishes from crockpots, toaster oven pretzels, and mixed meat subs. Food availability has been erratic. They were sold out of both of their warm meat snacks (pulled pork sandwiches, and chili) 30 minutes after they opened last Saturday, leaving only pretzels, mac/cheese, and subs.

They ve been experimenting with hours. Posted closing time for a while was 10 pm, but they ve been closing pretty reliably at 9 this week. The two remaining bartenders report that the opening hours/days will change, again, as of February 1. There s still plenty of seating, and large parties will have no problem as walk-ins unless they want to eat something.

There is no longer any table service, happy hour, happy hour food, kids menu, full bar, or wine. Their social media and online presence has not always kept up with the changes; call ahead for details.

Great performance in the Palladium performance space on the back of the brewery. Watch out for Moisture Festival events. Variety shows with international performers. Hale's serves their own beer at these events fresh on tap

We ate here before an event at the Palladium. El Camion does the food here now and it was awesome the night we came. I had sopes, one each chorizo, tongue and beef cheeks and they were AWESOME! I never had beef cheeks before but now I will always! Reliable Hales selection of brews, some seasonal.

Food and beer is decent, service is chronically slow. Every time I've been in, servers are pleasant but very inattentive. There have been several times where I've either had to go find my server when they're nowhere to be found.

Meh. We called ahead to see if they could accommodate a large group. We were told no... They were booked. We showed up to meet a few stragglers only to find the place a quarter full at best. We decided to stay as a few hadn't eaten yet and they were able to seat the whole group of 20 instantly. I guess they don't want customers? Food also meh.

I really am not a fan of Hale's beers and that is probably why most people come here. For greasy pub snacks it is fine, though the atmosphere is kind of loud. For me this place would get a lower rating if not for the fact that they host great events like the Moisture Festival.

It was better when they had their own kitchen. I like my taco truck tacos served from a truck. What is kinda lame is that it pulls away from some of the best beer in the State. Try the cream ale.

Beer, food, service mostly OK but disappointed by this side order of roasted potatoes we ordered as a quick starter. Took 10 minutes to arrive, and $3.25 seemed a bit steep for one potatoes worth of wedges, partly charred.

Mile high nachos, excellent tacos, ceviche, burrito, and tamales. We went as a party of four and ordered a bit of this and that. Ordered food from one end of the bar, drinks at the other. Perfection.

Highly spiced, infused layered flavors throughout the food. Good to the last bite.

Good beer selection including a menu of guest taps. Friendly and helpful service. Good for kids. Views are pedestrian, decor looks a little worse for the wear and food is typical pub fare. Looks like a better place for happy hour than a sit down meal.

Loved this place! Finished off here after hitting up several of the other breweries around. Had the artichoke pizza and it was great. Food came quick and the craft beer was on point. Service was great too. Definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
