My wife and I have been going to plays for the last several years. The Hale Center Theater group is fantastic. They always do a great job and the new theater is the best I have ever been in. Plenty of leg room, comfortable seats great sound and visibility of the stage, amazing props, and phenomenal acting! We love the Hale!
The production we saw was really great! The production value was amazing, the actors were great and the moving stage business was really really cool. Parking is very accessible and the venue itself is clean and looks excellent. I'm very much looking forward to going again.
Always amazing theatre! I cannot wait for the new theatre to open as it will have much better facilities and parking compared to WVC. Go Sandy City!!

Hale Centre Theatre is a must go if looking for something to do in Utah. Tickets are hard to come by sue to the pandemic but if you can visit do so! Every play is amazing! They are doing a great job following COVID guidelines. Season tickets make the greatest gifts and a super fun regular outing with the family. Thanks HTC for the great memories!!
We saw Freaky Friday in the Jewel box theater. It was a great family friendly play and the actors were awesome.
It was the first time I had been to Hale theatre. I loved it. Very good seats and the show was wonderful. We seen Mary Poppins. The cast was terrific. Will definitely be back. Want to see Murder on the Orient Express and Christmas Carol.
I saw the production of Aida about a month after this theater first opened. There are two stages, the jewel box which is a traditional stage, and the Center stage which is a round theater. Aida was in the round and I didn't see the other stage, but the Center stage was impressive. The stage moved and rose and lowered. It opened in parts to allow people and objects to raise and lower to and from the ceiling and below the floor. There were detailed projected images on the walls adding image, detail, story, and information to the production. Aside from the stage the performers were very ta lented. They sound quality was wonderful and carried their already strong voices wonderfully. The costumes were beautiful and intricate. In Aida they included aerial acrobats. The chairs in the Center stage were comfortable and it seemed any seat is a good seat. We sat close to the top and enjoyed our view. This production including various elements of entertainment from music and dialogue, to dancing and acrobats. It was an engaging and beautiful production on an amazing stage. I can only imagine their other productions are equally enjoyable.

An amazing theatre in salt lake! Reminds of a Vegas theatre. Not a bad seat in the house because it is round (big theatre, I wasn't in smaller one). The show I saw was strictly ballroom...very professionally done. Highly recommend.
I hate to put the 1 star but I'm pretty upset. I have had season tickets for around 8 years now. But am NOT going to renew for the 2020 season. The ticket prices are going UP but they are doing 2 LESS shows than this year. How does that work?! More money for less product. Sad. We've had fantastic times with them. Getting too big for the little guys I guess.
We have gone to see A Christmas Carol for some years now and it is always a moving and heart filled reminder of what the holidays is about. A wonderfully talented cast and crew. Merry Christmas.
Awesome staging, great productions, reasonable prices! I have attended plays around the world including on Broadway in New York and London, my favorite place to go to plays consistently is still Hale Center theater! Their staging is incredible. In addition the theater is small so there really isn't a bad seat in the house. LOVE IT! It's a huge resource to our community! If I could afford it I would attend every play!
I have never been disappointed. The quality of each play is tops. The actors and actresses are so talented. The innovation and creativity is so fascinating to me. How do they create a whole play/story/production in such a small area. The customer care is wonderful. I love Hale!

We saw the wizard of oz with Lexi Walker - she was amazing! The scarecrow and tin man were good but the lion had the best run. As always, the theater was clean, the employees pleasant and helpful, and parking was easy and free.
Went and saw one of their original shows here and it was witty and very well done. Was shown in the jewel box. Not a bad seat there. Acoustics were great. There is a parking structure but we opted to park across the street in the Sandy City parking. Worked lovely. Would go again!

Hale theater was so fun! I love the round seating and the actors and actresses did great! But the effects we're awesome! Props were rising from the floor and coming down from the ceiling! What a fun experience!
Bravo! The Hale is a jewel! Every production has been marvelous! From a talented set design to supurb and multitalented actors, as well as an amazing tech crew seeing any production is delightful.
We went to the Hale Theater in Sandy and it was as good as a Broadway Play, and I've seen many in New York City. It was phenomenal!!! 5 Star all the way!

A good regional family theater with high quality performances. The facility includes two theaters, a normal stage production theater and a large center stage theater-in-the-round. The place is new, so it's very nice with comfy seats.
i have seen many shows on Broadway, Hale Centre Theatre is every bit as good of quality as Broadway, but in a much smaller more intimate setting. and you don't have to go to New York We have been season ticket holders for about 15 years, The prices have gone up, it was a noticeable increase when they moved to the new theater, but it is still a fantastic deal. Much cheaper than the traveling Broadway shows.

We just recently went to the new theater to see Newsies and the new theater is gorgeous! Such a beautiful building inside and out! We were in the round theater and there was not a bad seat in the entire place. It all felt like you were very close to the stage and performance. Newsies its self was a great show as well! Always a great job from Hale!
The lead was not very good but the supporting cast was amazing. We saw Tuck Everlasting and I we would have been able to see it when the dark haired girl was performing. I heard that it was so much better. I don't think that we will spend the money on this again. When she sang I had to plug my ears. I could not wait to leave the performance
Absolutely amazing!!! Best performance of Joseph I've seen. The cast crushed it tonight as they played off each other, the audience, and the ever incredible Jennifer Parker Hohl who directed and performed the role of the Narrator.
What an amazing venue. The talent was awesome. The setting was awesome. Can't wait to go back.

I just went there to take pictures but, there was a lot of cool stuff to take pictures of! I went to the Seuss show last year and it was done really well! They've definitely taken a step up with their building! Well done Hale centre theatre well done!

I attended the Million Dollar Quartet last night. I had to leave because of language and total irreverence for Jesus and God.
Great performance otherwise. Not sure why they had to add the bad language and irreverence.
Hale Centre Theater is fun for the whole family. You can purchase tickets for specific shows or if you're a huge theater fan like my family and I, you can purchase the season pass and have access to incredible shows throughout the year! The acting, effects, music etc., are all fabulous. Lots of talent all under one roof! Highly recommend!
Enjoyed the production of A Christmas Carol at Hale Centre Theater in Sandy. We loved the cast and will be going back again.

Love it! It's nice to see some wholesome family entertainment! In my opinion, the back row has the best view. Their stage is cool and their productions are well put together. Well worth the money.

Saw Aida last weekend. This theater is a marvel. The technical capacity to move sets and actors around provided so much added excitement to the production we saw. I really love that the theater still seems so intimate while allowing for so many people to see a production. Tickets are significantly more expensive than they used to be. It is also much tougher to get seats so make reservations early. All of this is worth it. Hale Center Sandy is awesome.
The moving stage is amazing! You have to see it to believe it. I also loved seeing all the sets that came down from the ceiling. I would love to see how they hook up all the sets to lower to the stage.
The production quality and artistic ability is as good as Broadway
The only reason why I have them 4 stars is because of their seating being so close and everyone has to stand up if you happen to have a center seat. The new place is suppose to fix this issue. The performances are fantastic!

I absolutely love how well the HCT has handled coronavirus and changed their procedures. Having ice water available at intermission is wonderful. They do a great job of enforcing mask wearing in the audience.
Not to mention the shows are always PHENOMENAL!! I've been coming with my family for nearly 10 years and loved every show I've seen. I will keep coming back for more!!
We did a back stage tour with the SEAU. I have to tell you these guys can really work some great magic for live performances. World class theater.
Beautifully done theater with ample parking and posh decor. Supreme acting, singing, sets and costumes! Oh, and did I mention the costumes? Fabulous, beautiful, intricate and every attention to detail.
Wonderful night with Mom and Sisters, great reason to dress up a bit, which is rare in this day and age of wearing pj s whenever you go out!

Great performances! I love the new theater! Just a couple notes:
The house lights in the new theater made me dizzy. They made my vision swim so much that I couldn't even read the program. They might not affect everyone this way, but my sister in law and I both were bothered by them, and I could see it being dangerous for going up and down the stairs. I hope HCT will recognize that this is a problem and change their lights.
I also found the screens on the walls behind the audience distracting. It could be a cool feature for setting the scene, but I think it needs to be tones down.
And i wish the cast still came out to greet the audience after the shows. I loved being able to shake cast members' hands and congratulate them! I realize that this caused crowding issues in the lobby of the old building, but the new building has much more space and I feel like it would work fine.
Saw the Scarlet Pimpernel here. Very well performed in the round. Excellent sets, very good lighting and effects. A small cup of soda is $3, but hey should one really expect differently?
We love the Hale Center Theatre, I've never been anywhere like it! The stage is incredible and there isn't a bad seat in the room, they really make it feel like you are a part of the show. The acting is always amazing and I've never been to a play I didn't totally enjoy, and I've probably been to 10-15 at least. We took 4 of our little kids there a few weeks ago and even the 4 year old was totally enthralled, he never once looked less than totally interested the whole 3 hours. The new building is beautiful and you feel special just walking through the doors. I think every person should have the opportunity to experience a play here.

This is an incredible theater! $80 million. Some very good talent on display here. Not your neighborhood local talent anymore. They've raised the bar.
We saw seussical. The performance was great and my kids had a great time. Service at the concession was fast and all the people there where friendly and welcoming.
This was my first time to the new theater. I was very impressed with the stage and the stage magic they are able to pull off.

Just a little tip about parking.
If you are arriving later in the day and don't mind stairs, go for the upper levels in the parking structure and you will find close parking to the theater's north west entrance.
Great experience! Would go again! Despite the stage being small, it didn't feel that way. The stage was actually made up of several moving pieces that can go up, down, and spin around. They were able to utilize the whole surface and make its size work to the betterment of the play.
Service-wise, everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful, and the interior decorations offer a warm and exquisite atmosphere.
There is a parking structure in the back of the building, so as long as you're there a bit early you should be able to find a spot
