As a bar, this place is pretty mediocre. Pros are that they have a fun atmosphere--downstairs is full of bar games, middle floor has mini-golf, and upstairs is a pool-themed rooftop. Most of the people who work here are super friendly. It's huge so you can almost always find space to hang out with your friends. Cons are that the drinks are pretty weak and their beer selection is pretty average. The quality also varies from bar to bar--the margaritas you get on the rooftop are smaller/weaker than the ones you get downstairs.

However, as a restaurant, I think this place is underrated. I wish that they had more seating for table service (less than half the space is available for full service seating, even during dinner hours), but the food is pretty great. They have massive portions of Tex Mex food that's prepared with quality ingredients and is pretty flavorful for Tex Mex. Definitely check out the nachos--they're yuuuuge--and the fish tacos. Downside? I don't think there's anything "healthy" on the menu. They also have a few dishes I'd avoid, namely the "charred" wings, which are just burnt (regular wings are fine), and the chicken sandwich (the chicken is good, but it inexplicably comes in a Greek pita). If you're just down to chow down on some Tex Mex in a chill environment, I would say H Street Country Club hits the spot.

I'm not the biggest fan of this place, but a lot of my friends like it. They have giant Jenga and Skiball downstairs and putt putt upstairs. There's a rooftop too but I've never been to it.

Fun scene to hang out with if you are in your 20's or at least have a mindset to party. The drinks are nothing special, beers are "run of the mill" and the games are not bad. But if you are not into any of that, this is not the place for you.

We had our daughter's Bat Mitzvah party at H Street Country Club yesterday afternoon. The food was terrific, the staff was responsive and the venue is really cool. If you are looking for an affordable party for a big event for kids or adults, this is a great place to have it!

The Bartender on the rooftop suck. My wife and I was seated at the bar almost 10 minutes and never got served but people that came in after us got service. I spoke with the manager and she acted like she didn't know what to do. I will never patronize this establishment ever again.

H Street Country Club is the perfect place to bring a group of friends. The bar has an indoor 9-hole mini golf course, Skee Ball, and a variety of bar games including giant Jenga. There is also an excellent roof top bar that is a perfect place to hang out on a warm summer night. The nachos are loaded and yummy. H Street Country Club is always a good choice!

Gluten-free options! Most of the menu is gluten-free. The staff was very friendly and helpful with my food allergy needs. Food was also excellent and atmosphere was very nice. I just wish I had had extra time to play some of the games!

This is the rudest place I have ever tried to get into. I say try because I wasn t even let in. I was coming from Whole Foods with a six pack to take home but wanted to stop by cause a friend was there. They said I couldn t bring it it. Understandably. I went home dropped it off and came back. And the bouncer straight up told me I couldn t go in because I had tried to bring alcohol EVEN THOUGH I had gone home and came back with nothing so I could go in. They could have the best drinks but their bouncer is wack and sucks.

Decent drinks on tap. Nice staff, no one gave me an evil look when I asked for a half (they didn't have them at the time I went), and they didn't bat an eye when I didn't drink all my pint.

A bit loud with some of the games going on, but it makes for great conversation seeing people on perhaps their first date. There was some water leaking I think from some of the ducts in the space, but it might've been due to the humidity.

The bathrooms were clean (a plus for any bar), and the food looked adequate (didn't have any).

Will be back again for the mini golf.

This is a really fun place to hang. It's got a number of levels with different bars so getting a drink is always easy. The place has a number of games like shuffle board and giant Jenga which can be a great ice breaker and fun way to meet new people. Dinks are reasonably priced.

This is a great spot to take local and visiting friends alike. Their tacos and margs are good, and the mini golf is a cool group activity. Hip, down-to-earth atmosphere - every time I come here I notice something new in the decor. Best spot to hang out is the rooftop bar.

Just wanted to let you know that the first pub we went to, H Street Country Club did some fraudulent charges on my bank card. I have spoken to my bank about it, and the bank said the payment was made by manually entering my card number, which is rather odd. Whilst the other transaction was made by the (more usual) magnetic swipe of the card.

Just wanted to let you know as it seemed like a really nice bar. However I am not happy if the bartender manually took down my card details.

Many thanks.

I've never tried the food/drinks, but the atmosphere is really chill with a lot of options for things to do. And a low-key rooftop. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is b/c I don't know what the food/drink is like.

Fun little bar. Went for some putt-putt and drinks. It did seem to be really crowded, but that's to be expected for a Saturday night I suppose. Drink prices are comparable to other area bars. $10-12 for cocktails. $18 for putt-putt. Not sure about the games downstairs.

Got the Huevos Rancheros and it was basically garbage. We were told the roof will be open at 11 when we called but then we got there and then they said it wasn't opened till 1. The whole place had a horrible miscommunication and I'm only putting this one star because there's no 0 star option

I went for the first time recently and had a blast! I set a record on the pop a shot, 107 so ball is life. Coolest part is the nine hole minigolf upstairs! Look out for the 8th hole, traffic is a b****! Ha plus there is a bar upstairs so no need to go up and down. Legit spot.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food, but service was only okay at best. I am sure it is a really tough layout to keep an eye on all your tables and to our servers credit, everytime she came back, she apologized profusely for having been gone so long. We played mini golf upstairs after dinner and enjoyed that as well. Overall, it was a good place to take out of town guests for a run weekend.

The server Taanya was nice and polite. She took our order and the food came out shortly after. The food is good (its priced well for bar food in DC). The name H St Country Club fooled me because I was expecting cowboy boots and line dancing. No such thing. The arcade games are cool. I didnt play anything as I didnt come for the games or entertainment. The drinks are properly priced as well. 4 out of 5, because I couldn't grasp the theme of the establishment - the bar name did not fit.

Funky restaurant and game parlor in gentrified H Street. We were at Sunday jazz brunch, and people are late to gather. We got there at 12:30, but a critical mass assembled after 2. Good selection of brunch & lunch on the menu, tables upstairs.

Oh, skeeball downstairs, 9-hole mini golf upstairs.

Wait staff kinda warmed up after a while, but didn't seem real interested in much of anything before 2 pm.

Several kids under 14 welcome and entertained.

Ok guys this place is the bees knees! The idea behind this venue is absolutely phenomenal! Upon seeing "country club" my first thought was that in oder to call yourself that you have to have a golf course lol my friend just told me to wait and see and oh boy was I blown away. The mini course highlights points in DC and the crown jewel is the perking meter attendant lol . In addition there beer selection is pretty good! So are the cocktails they have. In all the have 3 bars and 3 floors and major points for unisex single stall bathrooms. I would deff recommend this place for a group of friends as the environment is grade a and extremely spacious. When there please don't forget to check out the patio bar it's awesome!

Recently went here again after being away from DC for 7 years. It still fits the mark! Food was good and drinks were good as well. The bartender could ve been more friendly though to some of the other patrons as well as more attentive. Did not get a chance to relive my mini golf days there but hopefully will in the future.

If you're having a night out on H st, then this is definitely a bar most people will stop at. It's bigger than most on H St. and has your typical bar games like shuffle board and darts. Oh and did I mention they have mini golf on the second floor?

This place was amazing!!! (And family friendly before 9pm). The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. The food was delicious and it has plenty of choices for vegetarians, and you're able to make special requests to your order. Their bar drinks were great and the manager even took time to check on our table. They have SkeeBall, an arcade game, and an upstairs mini golf. Needless to say, we will definitely be going back and we can't wait to recommend it to our friends.

The H Street Country club is a tongue in cheek hipster bar that is best compared to Penn Social in NW. The bar has some decent options for cocktails and the ubiquitous standard beer options. One point of contention was that I was a bit disappointed when I requested a lime for my tecate -- and all I got what amounted to 1/3 of a slice of a lime.. Seemed a bit stingy. Another drawback is the food. It was okay but I have to admit I am not sure I would go here to eat again. Finally the best part of this location is their game section. They have lots of options for games in the back, including HUGE jenga blocks, some arcade games, skeeball... and a mini golf course! Definitely a great place to bring people to kill a couple hours while hanging out on H st.

Wide variety of beer, rum and liquor at very affordable prices, the night club was scanty at first, but two bottle of beers later, it was the most lively place ever, the ladies were friendly and we had a good dance.

My favorite place to have fun on H St. It's a good balance between arcade bar and regular bar, and the mini golf course upstairs is hilarious and weird. The tacos are delicious too and very generously portioned.
