On the pricier side and sometimes service is a bit slow/weird. The menu has some fun options though and the beer menu is impressive. I'll probably end up here a few more times to give it a chance to impress me.

Food was good, but we arrived during a busy time period and waited 40 minutes at our table without anyone talking to us at all. We had to flag down a waiter from anither section to get service. Additionally forgot our appetizer despite the waitress repeating back that we wanted one to share.
Fresh and snappy decor makes it feel like a trendy new establishment rather than wearing the 40 year institution that is Gullifty's. Extensive and eclectic menu that features delicious small plates and scrumptious homemade soups. Worth a try for sure!!
I love this bar. I go here with my colleagues from time to time for a drink after work. They're always really friendly and the service is always very good. They have a good selection of beer and I haven't been disappointed yet with the food.
This is a very casual mostly sports bar type place. Young crowd with food to match! The salads and drinks are superb for lunch . The entrees at dinner are ok but really a place for a burger and fries. Great for kids too!
Very friendly place! With 40 beers on tap, a bar, and a restaurant this is the perfect place for any occasion! Personally I did not like the food, but it was probably just me, so I am still going to rate this a 5! Don't want to tarnish their reputation because of me!
Bad service, terrible steak. My family enjoyed their meals but the steak was overdone and not seasoned at all. Not worth sending back considering how long we waited for everything. Drinks never came until the staff was reminded. Appetizers came out late. Place appeared to be only staffed by 19 year olds with no one in charge.
Three and a half stars. Their food isn't bad, its just all american fare. I think its a bit overpriced for what you get. Its saving grace is the bar. Excellent service and selections in both beer and liquor
Bland food (tried what was supposed to be a seasoned spicy pasta dish with shrimp), great service/people, STALE desserts. DO NOT order their dessert special..it means they're trying to get rid of it because it's been sitting around for a few days, not worth the expense.
We had an amazing time this past Monday night having a great dinner laughing smiling. Our server was amazing she interacted with us. The food was delicious as usual. The last time I was in was a few years ago. I ve been coming since the mid 70 s. Keep up the good work.
First time here. Food took a little while to come out (Cheesesteak, a huge texmex salad, and a kid's burger) but worth the wait, reasonable price. Server Daniel was impeccable. Cherry on top: free $5 off our meal. We'll be back!
Your manager Jason had an attitude problem. Kept us waiting 18min to reprint our receipt so we could tip our waiter. 30 seconds of work in 18min and it wasn't even busy. Totally ridiculous.
Almost drank a $20 bottle of beer on recommendation of bar tender. The bait and switch from the happy hour featured bottle that they ran out of. Feature a Volkswagen and sell then an Audi
This was not a good experience at all! We went back here two times looking for a table! Also, while waiting in line there was about 10-15 people waiting in front of us as well, but no one was at the desk! And when a man approached the front desk he was just a customer letting us know that there were 2 people waiting at the bar for 2 HOURS for service/food!! And the food isn t even worth it! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
Very disappointed , food was good - service was horrible . We sat outside , 2 adults and a baby with a high chair that we had to bring to the table . Our waitress took our order , brought our food and be ER came back to ask if everything was okay , if we would like another glass of wine or dessert ! The service sucked , had to ask for napkins which she brought only 2! No silver ware , the place was not crowded at all for s Friday night at 8 pm do she had more than enough time to come back to our table . Not worth it next time will go somewhere else .
Terrible service! Was sat by hostess and waited and waited and waited. Finally we had to ask to be served. After receiving our appetizer (which was pathetic) nobody cleared our plates or took our entree order. So we left. ask the wait staff were gossiping to each instead of serving us. Avoid this place!
It was not a good night for Gullifty s tonight. It s been about 6 months since we ve been there and it was a terrible experience from beginning to end. Host made us wait after ignoring us while standing right in front of him, they sat us in the bar area (we had kids with us), appetizer took forever. Ordered the blackened chicken linguini but what came was anything but blackened, was sent back to the kitchen and they redelivered claiming it was and argued with me. The place was dirty, the lighting was off, looked like no one was in charge. Will not be going back anytime soon (after 30 years). Oh well...Jean, what happened?!!
Great place! Actually it is the only place where our picky 4yo will eat. The fries and burgers are our favorite, and you really have to try the ice cream, but we like everything we tried so far. Amazing beer selection.
We went for a mothers day brunch and it was very disorganized, poor service and most of the items that were on the brunch buffet menu were no longer available by noon (shrimp). We also had to ask for more pancakes and French toast. We didn't get silverware or drinks for a long while. We were looking for something different for mothers day brunch but would not return here for that.
Miserable all around experience. I'm writing this review as soon as we got home in the hopes that it will deter anyone from eating there in the future. My wife and I were willing to give this restaurant a second chance even though we had been COMPLETELY ignored for more than 25 minutes after we were seated there the first time. We should have stuck with our gut feeling. This time around it took close to 20 minutes to get our drinks. Our waiter seemed to completely forget about us after this and left us both wondering if we shouldn't just pay for the drinks and leave. But since we were starving and had a toddler with us we decided to stay.
My burger, when it finally arrived, was completely raw-it looked as thought it had literally just been taken out of the package and slapped on the roll. The roll claimed to be a sourdough German bagel but tasted more like a stale piece of toast. Even though we both asked for waters we were only brought one (to share between us?). We were never given a kids menu so we thought we had to order something for our son from the regular menu, but as it turns out when we were ordering there is a kids menu that we were never offered. The kids mac and cheese was bland and pasty and had a raw flour taste to it that I still have in my mouth. My son wouldn't even touch it and he never turns down Mac and Cheese. Before leaving I mentioned the burger to our server. The manager, instead of apologizing, claimed that because the quality of the meat they used was "so high" they generally don't need to cook it all the way through. I explained that a rare burger is warm and pink on the inside as well as firm. I showed him the soft, cold doughy consistency that was in my burger and told him I should not be able to roll it into a little ball: that is the sign of RAW meat. He simply shrugged and said I should have sent it back to cook longer. We will NEVER go back there again.
Food was great had never been before. Great place for a date for sure I had brought my fiance and she loved it as well. Menu was well put together and the drinks they have are also pretty great. Food was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Could see bother the young and older crowd going and enjoying themselves, totally going to go back and also recommend to anyone.
Great food and drinks. We had the hummus plate and the BBQ chicken pizza..amazing! Four stars due to us having an open table reservation and no table was ready for us, it ended up working out though.
First time here - stopped in for lunch right at 11am on a Saturday. They have a good selection of draft beers including Mad Elf!! I had the buffalo chicken chowder and the Cajun chicken tacos - both were good. My wife had iced tea and flat bread with caramelized onions and garlic. The iced tea was "fresh brewed" but was very weak and could have been brewed longer. The flat bread could have been cooked a couple minutes more to maintain the flat bread crunchiness and add a little color to the cheese.
Solid standards. Not terribly imaginative, but usually well prepared foods. Service can be spotty on crowded days, especially outside, but servers are always friendly if not entirely competent.
Service was very disappointing. Bar had only a handful of people, but it took way too long for the bartender to even acknowledge us. The bar top was filthy we had to ask that it be wiped clean. Once the food, which was overall not that good, arrived we had to ask for napkins and a fork. The wine was served in a glass that wasn t clean. Overall the experience was unsatisfactory. We will not frequent Gulliftys ever again.
On paper, Gullifty's is great: the food is inexpensive; the beer selection is fantastic; the atmosphere is hip and swanky. However, every time I eat there, something goes wrong. Sometimes they do not have the beer I want in stock. Other times the food takes forever or the server is inattentive. Sometimes I am seated at an awkward table in the middle of the dining room. Occasionally, it seems as if my food had been sitting after being prepared and did not taste as fresh as it could have. I am still waiting for that flawless experience, and, until that happens, I give it 3 stars.
Our server Cody, was super nice, very helpful, and always made sure we were satisfied. The food was quite good and the prices were justified. Especially the Argentinian shrimp was phenomenal, and I would definitely get it again! The atmosphere likewise was excellent for a Friday night and fostered a great experience. Overall a very pleasant visit.
Myself and two friends went to Gullifty's recently. The pizza was very good but, we ordered a large and medium came out. The waitress, I hope I get this correct, was Mikala. She explained that we would receive two medium pizzas, no extra charged, because of the mistake. Mikala was the nicest, sweetest and most patient waitstaff I've had in a long time. She absolutely made our night, and we were there for over 4 hours. She kidded with us, took pictures when we asked, with a smile. Thank you Mikala!!!
Normally very pleased with the food, however today my wings were not appetizing. If you like that charred grill flavor you may like them. On the other hand my wife thoroughly enjoyed her Sweet heat burger and was vey satisfied.
Going here for the Philadelphia Sailing Club meet up tonight, first Wednesdays 6 to 8... If you're also going or interested in sailing or sailboat racing please introduce yourself anytime... Looking to connect with more local sailors
I got a chicken Christie which has a really yummy mushroom sauce. I recommend because the food is really good! The atmosphere kind of sucks if you get seated at a weird spot. Although, the last time I went there was a balloon lady, so it's a good time for sure.
Longtime customer. High quality ingredients make all the difference. Friendly, attentive staff. Wonderful menu. Reasonable prices. Wide craft beer selection. Burgers, short rib sandwich, alligator tacos, pizza, all can t miss.
