Great coffee spot in the Strip. It has all the standard drink that most coffee shops have, and they're all good. In particular though their hot chocolate is out of this world! Pair one of the drinks they offer with a pastry from the connected shop and you're in for a good day.

La Prima is a great shop to stop in for amazing espresso or coffee. We love going in and seeing the groups of old Italians that have likely been going there for decades!

This is an excellent Italian coffee shop in the Strip District. It is no-frills, so the menu is limited - if you're looking for your frappuccinos or sweet mocha lattes, you'll want to go somewhere else. But the drinks are delicious, well-made, and very high quality. My husband and I got a cappuccino and a cold brew - both were excellent. They also serve delicious pastries, and the bakery next door is a great place to get food after or with your cup of coffee! There is outside seating if you can get it! I definitely recommend trying this shop out at least once.

Best coffee!! Must stop in strip district. They are known for there cappuccinos. There were old Italian men playing cards sell small pastries but we purchased one in the ajoining pasta and pastry store. We got there lobster tail it was deliouse with la primal cappuccino. Staff was super friendly and prompt. I can t rave enough about this place. Old school and amazing.

The best italian coffee in the city! We take all visitors to PGH to have coffee here after a walk in the Strip District. I love to but a pound of their med-dark roast to take when we visit anyone.

The best espresso in Pittsburgh! Almost every Sunday I go to La Prima, get my espresso and chat with the other Italians who meet here. It's a nice way for me to stay in touch with my culture and I'm sure that, for Americans, being surrounded by Italians can be a funny experience. If you are looking for an excellent coffee this is the right place.

Authentic Italian coffee house. Roasted in Pittsburgh. Loads of blends. Something for everyone. Biscotti and small baked goods for sale at the counter as well as a full service espresso bar. Ask about the Italian proverb of the day.

Best coffee in Pittsburgh, we live local but I ve been ordering roughly 4-6 bags of coffee from here a month for about the past year. Always super fast shipping and Jim puts up with me with and provides lots of great info when I ask for recommendations. I always get bags of coffee roasted 1 or 2 days before it was shipped, and it s always delicious! Do yourself and a favor and get the miscella bar reserve...they have a lot of great coffees but nothing even comes close to the miscella bar reserve (except the Easter blend, but they only have it around Easter)

I ve been on site too, it s a fun authentic experience and the bakery next door is also fantastic (although I think they are separate businesses?)

Anyway...get your coffee here. Highly recommended

what a wonderful place to eat, a true amazing experience with honestly God the greatest cappuccino I've ever had in my life. Everyone there authentic, happy, and you have a true sense of Italy right in this trip.

The espresso here is a masterpiece! So smooth, rich and creamy with absolutely no bitterness. It s espresso the way it s meant to be. Every drink here is top notch. They re so good Mr. Bunch, the CEO of PPG, had them set up an espresso bar for his daughter s wedding. Amazing espresso and coffee served in a simple atmosphere. In season, they have outdoor seating available.

Was walking down the strip when I smelled amazing coffee and couldn t help but stop by and I am glad I did.

The coffee I ordered was well brewed and super smooth plus the staff was very friendly. They have a wide variety of house blends you can purchase for around $15 a pound. I am very satisfied with the bags I purchased and they were freshly roasted the day before

Prices are very fair for what you are getting and I recommend this place to anyone looking for good coffee at a fair price

La Prima Espresso Company is more than just a "Coffee Spot" It's very welcoming and is accommodating to anyone. Stop in, do some work and have a cup. If you're feeling hungry they even have a nice selection of eats too!

The best coffee in Pittsburgh. La Prima is a must-visit when in the Strip District. Reasonably priced, extremely delicious and every drink is carefully crafted. The Italian-speaking gentlemen that frequent La Prima would surely agree!

My favorite coffee house we went to in Pittsburgh! It has a fun, authentic atmosphere and we got to chat with a lot of Italian people who come in to drink their espresso with a croissant. I got a plain latte so I could taste the actual flavor of the espresso, and it was incredible!
