Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, and patient when we took our time ordering different items from the menu. Everything we ate was delicious, especially the sea urchin special and Kusshi oysters. Highly recommend

This was my first oyster experience and it was a great first experience. The server very well explained the differences in oysters from the east and west coast as well as the best options for a first timer. The decor was classy and casual with a modern nautical twist. The silverware/tableware was impeccably clean. The wait staff was very punctual and I never had a dirty plate in front of me for more than six seconds. The small-plate style offers perfect portion sizes and is meant to be shared. For a table of three, we ordered five dishes that turned out to be enough for all of us. They even decorated our dessert plate for my birthday which was very sweet. I highly recommend the Salted Caramel Tart. My only complaint was that the size of the crab cake was not worth the money. Overall, delicious food, fantastic oysters and wonderful staff! I will definitely be back.

Awesome find... small, quaint, clean. Food was OUTSTANDING! Super nice and welcoming staff. So glad we found this non-touristy, local joint. Portions were perfect, prices were fair, quality was superb!

Lovely place, Plaice....lol.....innovative small plate selections. shrimp bruschetta, gnocchi, scallops, all fabulous. knowledgeable service but plan ahead to get a reservation at a reasonable time. wine prices exorbitant, $14 for a 5oz pour of a $17 bottle of sav blanc!

The food was a little overpriced for quality, but I would have given the restaurant 4 stars instead of two only if our signed check wasn't different from our credit card charge. I don't fault the restaurant, but the waiter they hired. The manager lady up front was top notch. Overall experience was definitely soured by the waiter's practice praying on tourists. The check says that we have been "served" by Joe W.

If you re in the camp that thinks seafood is an aphrodisiac, you might want to take your date to GT Fish & Oyster, one of Chicago s best seafood restaurants. They have an almost endless list of awards, including the Michelin Bib Gourmand, which is a signal of affordability and quality.

I have eaten here a lot. I love the food and service is impeccable.
However, our dining experience on Saturday night was less than stellar.
We were set next to a table of obviously over served patrons, that yelled, cussed, knocked chairs over and basically treated the restaurant like their personal frat house.
Other couples were also upset at the lack of willingness to remove the offensive table...a few of us complained.
The solution was to make us move to another part of the restaurant mid meal, and to continue to overserve the drunken losers.
The lovely hostess did try to smooth things over by bringing out 2 glasses of wine, but by that time we already had our meal interrupted.

I came here on a visit to Chicago. I saw their food online and made a reservation a few weeks ahead. I was so pleased with the food, drinks and atmosphere! Lobster mac and cheese and the scallops with the short rib were the most notable of what I had. Great for sharing!

This place is supremely overpriced for extremely small portions that they say that you should share 2 oz of fish is not enough to share if you are willing to pay absorbent amounts for finger food this is the place for you

I love seafood and I expected a lot more. Service was very slow on an uncrowded Sunday night. The serving sizes were super small. The food was blah. Nothing special. On the plus side, a great selection of oysters and a huge wine list. However I will not go back.

Well if I ever came back here again I would go straight to the desert menu. The chocolate moose cake and the key lime pie are eye popping good, and I don't even usually like key lime pie First I had the clam chowder which was possibly the best clam chowder I've ever had. The swordfish was good as well with a different texture unlike other fish like salmon or cod.

This place is fantastic! We came from Minneapolos on a long weekend to Chicago. My boyfriend and I planned to visit specifically this restaurant for the oysters after reading about other seafood restaurants in the city. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the small space is used well. Not overly crowded but still ample seating for many guests. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu offerings and had suggestions when we asked questions. My boyfriend really only likes cooked oysters, while I don't discriminate. She advised of some cooked options for him that weren't actually on the menu for the evening. The oysters were all delicious of course. I also had the scallops for a main course. The plate was a bit small for my liking but the flavors were incredible. The scallops were cooked just so, they seemed to melt in my mouth. I also had sherberts for dessert, blood orange which was quite tart but delicious, mango which was sweet and delicious, and coconut which had texture almost like ice cream and it was incredible. Well worth the drive from Minneapolis!

So they treated us exceptionally well, the dining experience was great! The Shrimp Bruschetta was our favorite item, for dinner the lobster roll was awesome as well. I came for the creekstone farms steak, but thought it wasn't seasoned well enough...I'm sure there are other great seafood items, but it's not a steak place anyway.

Very fancy and expensive, but delicious. Portions aren't big at all. It takes 2-3 orders to fill you. I enjoyed eating there. Had the pork belly, oysters, clam chowder, oyster-kimchi sliders, and fish and chips.
