I had a simple extended warranty claim where the handle broke on my global knife due to internal rust spots shearing the handle .... The process I had to go through was tortuous and designed to be as customer off putting as possible. I Grunwerg, Sheffield are the actual company who are the importers, hide behind a website that has little or no contact details and with no phone numbers on it. I was asked for multiple levels of evidence, multiple times, to demonstrate that I had not damaged the knife and their decision making was labourious. It even requiring their MD to make the decision about the claim! I was finally given a telephone number to make a payment under their warranty terms. The number was never answered nor did I get a call back. When I finally found their head office number I was again just put onto an answer machine. I have now had to make a payment to the companies general bank account for a replacement knife with no acknowledgement that I will ever get it sent to me - this is just not good enough.

Even in times of Covid this is just not an acceptable level of service - I Grunwerg you are hiding from your responsibility to deliver an acceptable level of customer care.

For 19 years I have been a mug nerd. Always striving for the best. most comfortable, aesthetically pleasing mug.
I have also had many long conversations and brainstorming sessions with other mug nerds.
Preparing and drinking from my mug is an integral aspect of my daily routine, and also my way of communicating with the world.
Having trialed a significant number of different mugs, always striving for the best. I thought that I had found the perfect one in the Lifeventure Thermal Mug.
It gave me everything I needed. Although, admittedly, on reflection, I did have a tiny, nagging doubt which was related to the relatively small capacity of 300ml.

Recently I was on a train, and my 'elbow buddy' was in possession of what I now know to be the Grunwerg Pioneer DrinkPod .
I couldn't contain myself, and interrupted her DVD watching, to ask her complex and ridiculously over the top questions about her mug, how it felt when she drank from it, how long it kept drinks warm, where she got it from, its capacity and so on.

I read up on this mug extensively... and hinted to my friends and family until one was bought for me.

I have been using the Grunwerg Pioneer DrinkPod for a month now, and, to be honest. Having used the Lifeventure Thermal Mug exclusively for over 10 years now. This mug is proof that perfection can be improved on.
It keeps drinks warmer for longer. It is comfortable to drink from. I feel like a master of my day when I carry it around.
It feels less like a field mug, and more like a coffee cup in my hand.
I have read reviews that the absence of the pressure valve on the inside of the lid can make it a challenge to unscrew as drinks cool. However, I have not experienced this phenomenon.
I also read that it is too large for drinks holders in cars. To which, my solution is, buy a larger car. The 450ml capacity of this mug makes that a worthwhile option.

I am happy with this mug. I hope this review is glowing enough to do it justice.
Comfortable. Robust. Sexy. Keeps coffee hot. Makes me feel like I have control of my life.
What more does one want from a mug?

Electric pepper Mill looked good but did not work. Sought help from Grunwerg but they absolutely ignored e mail. Looking at other reviews confirms very poor customer service. So a wasted purchase but lesson learnt

Had a kettle that stopped working. It took Grunwerg over 8 weeks to sort out and I had to chase them up on a number of occasions. The original kettle was lost on their premises and then it took a long time to get a replacement. Although everyone I spoke to was friendly and polite they do not have adequate customer services. Would not recommend which is a shame as they are trying to produce an ethical product.
