I booked for an event. Needed to change my arrival date. The Omni gave me the option of paying $919 per night for a different room. Would not return my $332 deposit. Skip this place, it is a rip off. Plenty of other places to stay in Asheville.

The Omni Grove Park Inn was very beautiful, and a great setting to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Even though obscured by rain, fog and night, the view was great. Dinner at the Edison restaurant was delicious, and the service was very good. Finally, we got there to catch the world gingerbread competition, and we had a lot of fun seeing all of the entries. We would do it again.

The Grove Park Inn was exceptional. The views, amenities and service are amazing. The spa facilities are truly some of the best around. The massage was quite disappointing. Avoid the Mountain Air massage...it is loud. Masseuse was not great, but the gratuity is already included.

This place is a treasure. Only ever stayed in the old building, but that's because the original rooms in the old hotel offer the best views, and are full of original built-ins, hardware, etc from the original construction in the Art Deco/Craftsman style of the day. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and all the rooms are quiet because they are so solidly built. If you stay in even numbers in the old building, you'll overlook the subterranean spa, the golf course, and have a great view of the Asheville skyline. The main great room is incredibly impressive and made of massive stones, beautiful Art Deco light fixtures and 20+ foot ceilings. There are two large (you could almost walk into them) fireplaces at each end you can sit in a rocker and enjoy. All the staff are friendly and attentive. Concierge service is excellent. Behind each fireplace is a single small elevator still managed by an attendant. The spa here is extraordinary and beneath the grounds. There are multiple treatments available, aromatherapy, hot-towel, clay, dry/wet sauna, cold water/hot water tubs, the works. The masseuses are all excellent. The co-ed area is a stunning human-made cavern with multiple pools (lap, relaxation, high pressure waterfall grottos, an outdoor pool and lounge with cafe service). Worth the cost. If you do the spa, allow yourself several hours- you'll be glad you did. Dining is also first-rate. Get dinner at sunset on the Sunset Terrace at least once, even if you don't stay overnight. I can't recommend the Omni Grove Park Inn enough!

Rich history, best lobby in NC with 2 huge fireplaces, incredible service and attached shopping and food options. Incredible view and one of the best spas in the country. Not for those on a budget, but luxury accommodation in the mountains or for a daytrip. Elaine's piano bar is good entertainment on the weekends for adults. Several bars and restaurants and excellent food.

Recently had a phenomenal evening dining at the Sunset Terrace for a bachelorette dinner. From the food, the service, the views it was a night of perfection. The Grove Park Inn continues to outshine and out-do themselves with every visit. Stunning surroundings and amazing service, always creating a memorable experience, a must visit while in Asheville!

The Omni Give Park Inn is a wonderful hotel. The rooms have very nice views and are comfortable. Service at the hotel is the best I've experienced at many places. The are several restaurants add shops in the hotel. There's a spa and a good course. The Omni Grove Park Inn is located just a few minutes from downtown Asheville, NC with many great places to eat, shop and enjoy nightlife.

Stay nearby for less money and then visit the resort. It is fun to watch others do that and anger the snooty people who paid so much to rub elbows with common folks.
The resort is beautiful and the views are amazing.

Most beautiful hotel in Asheville, well worth the money, and we will have to stay here during our next visit. Great views and almost has everything you need (food, pool, golf, lounge) for a weekend getaway. Be aware of snakes in the garden though!

Wow, Wow and WOW. What a place this is. Terrific panoramic views of the mountains in the back, unbelievable food and a place with the reputation of having celebrities, movie stars playwrites, dignitaries eat/stay at the property. Started in 1913 and still going strong. No accident there for sure. There is also a golf course as well. The only negative is the parking is not good but you get the first 3 hours of parking free - but you'll need all that to eat your huge meal and find your car. The cost is a little high, but to be expected for this level of service. It's also on my wife's top 5 best meals of her life, so it's a 5 out of 5 stars for this reviewer. It's fantastic, you will LOVE it.

Seriously amazing views and outdoor seating areas for drinks and food. Historic and inspirational place where many great influences of U.S. history and innovations came. Cool to know that great minds have collaborated here. I wouldn't recommend the hotel, but the rest of the resort is great (stay for a day and get reservations for a dinner at sunset on one of the terraces). Views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and downtown Asheville is minutes away.

I found my stay/experience significantly lacking the wow factor that I was expecting. The room (Deluxe king resort view) was much smaller than the online images made it seem. There were very few usable pillows on the bed which were not comfortable and the bathroom was a tight space. Outlets were scarce as well. Our room was not cleaned after our first night and we left early in the morning giving housekeeping ample time to service it. I found the daily resort fee and parking fee unreasonable as there are no complimentary activities/amentities you might find at other resorts who charge the same fees. The staff was very courteous but good customer service only goes so far when the facilities themselves (outside of the main historic inn) are very dated (elevators, hallways, guest rooms etc.). Overall, the prices charged for the room rate, drinks and food are inflated simply due to name of the hotel but each are not deserving of their price point. Sadly, I doubt I will ever return.

the view was amazing! We ate at the Blue Ridge restaurant for their breakfast buffet. We got there about 45 minutes before it closed, and the food wasn't as fresh as it would have been if we were earlier. The food selections were pretty amazing though.

The place is beautiful. We went there for a drink on Thanksgiving and the decorations were magnificent. I've been coming here since 1965 and it never disappoints. Well not exactly true, we wanted to stay there but they were totally sold out.. It was our fault for waiting too late to get a reservation. A note to anyone wanting to go there over Thanksgiving, book a few months in advance.

Historic, grand and beautiful. If you can't afford to stay it is still worth a visit to see; beautiful stonework, fireplaces everywhere including 2 in the lobby that are tall enough to stand in. Treat yourself to a day at the spa, it's a splurge but so relaxing to spend the day in pool, eucalyptus steam room, plunge pool, sauna, loungers outside or comfy chairs inside near a fire.

Stunning views and great food. The history behind this Facility is also pretty amazing, I can't imagine anyone today working that hard to build a structure from rock with mainly manual labor. Make sure to save up and get the buffet at least once, fast for a bit before if you can lots to try and all so good!

Hopefully I'll get to stay one day.

Luxury meets comfort at the Grove Park Inn. Nothing but the finest in service and accommodations delivered in the most comfortable setting imaginable. The mountains surrounding Asheville provide the most amazing backdrop to the Grove Park Inn. World class experience. My wife and I usually just get day passes to the spa as the massage therapists there are overworked and overpriced. Are you really going to pay $250 for a massage that you can get in town for $75? Your best value is to get day passes for $90 a piece and use the hot waterfalls, mineral pools, heated figure 8 pool, polar pluge, and aroma therapy saunas all day. You can even order food from the outside area.

Avoid peak times if you are looking for value. We usually wait until this hotel is around $300 per night. Haven't been back since Omni took over. Hope the prices are still competitive.

The Biltmore Hotel is also a good option, but we prefer the Grove Park. A+ experience.

A very nice historic resort with a wonderful view of Asheville's mountain valley. It's expensive like all resorts, but worth the splurge if you've never been. Classy vibe with an accompanying old lodge feel. Great place to have food and drinks with a spectacular view. And the dueling piano bar (Elaine's) downstairs is worth a visit after dinner.

Christmas at the Grove Park Inn with my family was spectacular! Two teenage boys were engaged by the golf course, fitness center, car museum, gingerbread house exhibit and hot chocolate house. My husband and I visited the spa. Happy memories, amazing service. Highly recommended

A perfect weekend getaway to sit back and relax. The views are indescribable and alone are worth the price to stay. The history of the hotel which is well preserved instills little lessons throughout your stay. From the moment you walk up you feel like you are somewhere special. The restaurant options, spa, pool, market and terrace bar make it easy to stay on property for days while still having many options. In addition this hotel is just a short drive from the Biltmore and downtown making everything Asheville has to offer accessible. I plan to travel back time and time again.

We stayed for just one night, but will be coming back for a longer stay in the future. Staff was excellent and we'll organized. Hotel is breathtaking and unique. Our room was average sized for a hotel, but meticulously maintained and very comfortable. I can't wait to return with my family for a longer more emersive visit!
