Grove Park Inn is our relaxation spot and we love everything about the spa, restaurant, and Sunday brunch. We used to go about twice a year, then had twin 3 yr olds. This was our first visit back as a family and were really sad to find out that the guy in the top hat was no longer the greeter. The twins were actually looking forward to seeing him and so we're we :(

The grounds are beautiful, and the service is good; however, the food is AWFUL at all of the restaurants. The rooms are just average, the beds are uncomfortable, and the sheets are scratchy. It's completely overrated and overpriced. Frankly, I've had better stays at a Hampton.
Had a beautiful mountain view room that was immaculate. Dinner in the Sunset Terrace was delicious. Listened to live music while enjoying after dinner drinks. Everything was perfect! Breakfast buffet was amazing. Take time to walk the grounds and enjoy the history and antiques on display inside. I have stayed here many times but I think this was the best visit yet!
Attentive service in the lobby bar area. Fresh pretzel poppers were a hit. Very scenic and fun to wander through the hotel and grounds. Definitely visit even if you're not staying overnight.
The service, employees, waiters, concierge,& bartenders were all so incredibly curteous, informative, and helpful. The views and amenities were incredible. The alcoholic beverages were extremely overpriced. The restaurants inside the resort were ksut exceptional. The possibilities of discovering all places and activities in and at The Omni Grove Park Inn are endless.
I would recommend that if you're planning a weekend getaway or rendezvous, stay at least 2-3 days.
As a kid I've visited the Grove Park Inn numerous times but I've never stayed there. My husband and I got the chance to stay our wedding night there, I was expecting a little more elegance for a room that costs $400+ for one night, but the bed we slept in was nothing short of spectacular! The staff was friendly and accommodating and went the extra mile for us.
My wife and I visited the Grove Park Inn to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. We reserved a quaint table for two, with a lovely view, at the Edison Craft Ales & Kitchen. Arriving a touch early, we wandered a bit and perused a few of the retail spaces before heading to our table. Once there, our service was provided first by Alex, who seated us with a welcoming and friendly tableside manner. We were soon joined by Lorne, who took over for Alex in kind fashion. We enjoyed a delicious meal while watching the sun set gracefully and, happenstance, viewing a wedding in progress on the terrace below. We finished our dining experience with a scrumptious dessert and two spoons, delighting in our romantic connection. My wife and I certainly encourage people to visit The Grove Park Inn for dining, and we imagine that any service offered at the venue is presented equally well. Thank you for reading.
The Grove Park Inn lives up to its hype. Every member of the staff was kind and helpful. Everything we ate and drank was delicious. My daughter and I enjoy a spa retreat once a year, and this was our first visit to the Grove Park. Hopefully it won't be our last.
The Omni Grove Park Inn is incredible. Great service, unbelievable views. Rooms are nice. We were there in November and the Gingerbread contest was really cool. The hotel was already decorated for Christmas and, combined with the Gingerbread houses all over the hotel, was just beautiful. The two huge fireplaces in the lobby were perfect places to enjoy a cocktail and some lively conversation on a cool November night. Great scotch and wine selection at the bars. Vue 1913 was a wonderful restaurant with incredible food and service. Check out the historic OGPI, you'll be glad you did!
OVER PRICED WOULD BE UNDERSTATEMENT. UNABLE TO OBTAIN SPA PASS AT ALL AT 9;30 AM, NO SPA TREATMENTS AVAILABLE THERE FORE THE $90 + 22% DAY SPA PASS NOT AVAILABLE.. iF YOU PLAN ON GOING HERE AND PAYING AN ENORMOUS PRICE FOR A ROOM, HOPING TO USE THE SPA....DONT.. The spa IS SELDOM, IF EVER AVAILABLE FOR DAY PASSES, HOWEVER IF YOU BOOK ONE OF THE OVERPRICED SPA SERVICES THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM IN THE SPA.
Great meal on the Sunset Terrace! Service is spot on and the view cannot be topped by many places. The Inn itself is a delight to shop in, wander around, or just relax in the welcoming atmosphere at every turn. Many visits are required
We love the Grove Park Inn. Every time we stay here it's better than the time before. The Spa has to be my favorite. It's so beautiful and relaxing, I really feel like I'm in another world. My husband loves the golf course and all the wonderful employees there. Everyone is so nice and welcoming especially the elevator greeter, Dusty. She is always so sweet to us! The only thing I fuss about are the wine prices, which are so overpriced. $29.00 for a 9 oz glass of wine is outrageous. Can't wait to come back soon!
We enjoyed our stay, but did not use many of the hotel's facilities. We went to downtown Asheville every night and had a great time. The golf course was in good shape and reasonably priced for a Donald Ross course.
You've got to try their signature hot chocolate. Even in Florida we know how famous it is. Christmas time gingerbread competition was great to see. We didn't stay at the inn but we toured it and had a good time visiting.
Super amazing place. Definitely hygge. Cozy, fantastic service, great atmosphere, and superb beauty in the design of all the hotel facilities, set in one of the most relaxing vistas. Take someone you love and just soak it all in.
This place is beautiful. So much to see, restaurants, patios to walk around on, shops, nice lobby, fireplaces all around. Wildlife to watch, I even saw a bear not far from the parking lot.
Beautiful place! Loved the gingerbread exhibit! Very expensive (parking is $25 a day, but half of it goes to a good cause over the holidays)! Nicely decorated & views are stunning!
Went to Edisons Grill. They were out of most of the draft beers i would have liked which for a bar in Asheville is not good. We were seated outside. Was drinking my beer and a lump in my mouth began to move. It was a bee. Got another beer but not a good experience. My burger was OK.
Amazing place, great service. The food in the restaurants is delicious and fast. The hotel is amazing it is really comfortable and has great views. The spa is beautiful.
Beautiful BEAUTIFUL views and architecture. The food was average tasting. I found a hair in both of the plates i had, and there was a fly in my beer. Unimpressed.
What a great hotel. We stayed in a corner suite. The employees were great. The view was beautiful. The spa was refreshing and peaceful. It would not be my first choice as I typically prefer coastal beach getaways, however this place is a very special experience. It should be a must visit place. We will be back!
Iconic location and view. Make sure you are clear on where your room is s it a large place. If you eat at the hotel, sunset terrace is the best option.
We had brunch with our toddler and the wait staff was very patient and attentive. Made sure we had our check quickly and kept us with lots of coffee. Love this place for overnight or just a meal, one of my favorites.
Gorgeous resort! Loved every minute of our stay here. The staff was great. Friendly helpful staff encounters throughout our stay. The only negative was the parking gates. They never worked like they should. The resort charges parking daily yet the ticketing system wanted to charge us $15 every time we left the parking deck.
This was our first time at the Omni Grove Park Inn, but it won t be our last! Can t wait to come back! Excellent rooms, service, restaurants, and the spa was heavenly! Gorgeous grounds! Wonderful art galleries! Enjoyed watching the flock of turkeys on the golf course!
A review regarding grabbing a drink at sunset. You don't have to book anything, you can just drive up, park in the free garage and go to the lobby level main room with two huge old school fireplaces and a bar. Grab a cocktail, walk outside and enjoy the stunning view at sunset, then move on to wherever you're having dinner. Love this place - looking forward to staying sometime.
UPDATE: Have no problem speaking with them. Would you do me a favor in the meantime and take a tour? The place is tired looking to say the least and needs a complete Service Master cleaning. I had a wonderful experience at the spa 3 years ago and I have been to Nimicolin and BlackBerry Farm and the spa at the Hotel Hershey. Presently, the atmosphere of the spa at Grove Park in is comparable to an indoor waterpark for kids.
UPDATE: To the owner of the Omni Grove Park Inn: thank you for your prompt reply. I want to address your comment that the Spa at Omni Grove Park Inn has had the same management team for five years is a puzzling statement to say the least. Let me explain: I expressed my concerns about the noise to two different staff members, each at a separate time of the day. Both said they had a new manager and one said they have had 3 managerial changes in last year. As I explained in my review, the individual staff members were wonderful and attentive. If I return to Grove Park Inn, I will not spend money on a spa that is the antithesis of a relaxing experience. I encourage guests who have a similar experience to show the spa manager the owner's response to my review and ask for a refund.
Would give this historic and iconic inn 5 stars if it wasn't for the Spa. The Spa has gone through 3 management teams in the last year and it shows. The entire facility needs a good steam cleaning. There is a film of oil or something that looks like oil atop every pool. The bottoms of the pools are grimy. Worst of all is the that atmosphere is more like Spring Break than a calm relaxing atmosphere one would expect. The staff tries their best, but with everyone complaining the moment they walk in, it is challenging to say the least. Other than that, we had a great few days here! Room was clean and quiet. Be sure to make reservations at the on site restaurants a day in advance or you will be eating dinner at 9 PM.
My friends had raved about this place, and now I understand why. The building is massive, but it beautifully blends into the mountain landscape. Inside, there are grand open spaces filled with luxurious comfort. Outside, you have unrivaled views with Asheville's skyline visible on the distant horizon. The service at the restaurant/bar was friendly, skilled, and prompt.
The hotel is beyond beautiful . However, the rooms are dated and dirty. The service is beyond bad from the top down. Be careful, there is active theft on the property.
Great place, tons to do on the grounds, overall nice room. Food at on-site restaurants over priced and only decent quality for price, drinks also high, paying for the location and view. I would def come back for those however.
Fun to visit and a great set of places to eat. Unfortunately, the staff is unable or unwilling to enforce any sort of quiet in the hotel. Guests screaming outside from midnight to 3am mean no sleep. Instead of taking action, they refer calls to the local sheriff... who seems to have other things to do. Visit, eat, but don't stay there.
Went to The Sunset Terrace for dinner and was extremely dissappinted!! Ordered the prawns as an app..sauce had no taste....got a crab cake for my dinner which was inedible because the entire dish was drowning in salt...my 2 friends were disappointed with their meals as well...thought we would save the night by ordering dessert since we were there celebrating 2 birthdays...another huge disappointment!! The best thing about the night was the view!!
Went to the spa for our honeymoon. Was a amazing experience! Everyone was super friendly. We were given complimentary champagne and a rose for my wife because it was our honeymoon. All of the hot tubs and steam rooms were awsome. And the couples massage we had was incredible! Loved every minute of it. Only things i would say negative is that it was hard to find the spa. But everyone we asked was super helpful. And the prices of drinks and food is crazy. I paid 15 bucks for a tiny bloody mary and 15 for a mint mohito and 20 for a tiny sandwich, other than that it was INCREDIBLE!
Much improved!!! I stayed here about a year ago and was very disappointed since it changed over to Omni and the friendliness and warmth of the staff just wasn t there, however, this time it was above and beyond my last stay. The staff was very friendly in all areas, the updates and food quality in the restaurants were fresh and full of flavor. The sunset view is always incredible and worth a visit even if not staying at the hotel. Haven t had a chance to use the spa but definitely planning a trip back.
