Its always a magical experience when visiting the Grove, we took the historical elevator and got to see Fitzgerald's room, and the elevator attendant was so sweet! All the shops were so cute and the staff was very welcoming- At Petes cafe, Jacob Adams made me the best hot chocolate I've ever had! The spa was beautiful as always, 10/10, great experience.

I've visited The Grove Park Inn many times over the years, but today I had a big disappointment. All of the fabulous fireplaces except for one had gas logs! The Inn and it's original furnishings were all about craftsmanship and authenticity. Fake logs?
Seriously?! The experience, for me, will never be the same.

Go during the gingerbread competition. The most amazing displays. The Omni is a beautiful property anyway but if you get the opportunity, go during the Christmas season and enjoy the amazing gingerbread displays. Well worth the time.

MIxed feelings about staying at Grove Park Inn. The views were incredible. The staff was very accommodating and my friend enjoyed the spa. The condition of the rooms, common areas and exercise facility was less than average, old and dated. From a business standpoint, GPI has determined this is acceptable for their customer base and has no need to upgrade the rooms because many of their guests don't seem to mind. However, I won't be staying there again. It would be much more suitable to stay downtown in one of the newer hotels and Uber to the restaurant for the view or dinner. Just my opinion.

Front door staff are very nice and helpful with luggage and taxis. Spa is nice. However, we would not stay at this hotel ever again. We checked into on May 10, 2018 for three nights. With room, tax, resort fees it was over $500 per night for a deluxe Mountain View room. It was NOT not nice room. Bathroom has a drop ceiling that looked old and dingy. Our view was from a small window that had dark screens in it and there was an exterior wall on both sides that provided an obstructed mountain view. That room should not be sold as a Mountain View room. Dust on the crooked lights above the dusty mirror in the bathroom, drab and old looking brown carpet on the floor. Bathroom curtain was a crooked tension rod with cheap ugly fabric. When I complained about having a drop ceiling and tension rod curtain in the bathroom the front desk said this is a historic hotel. Drop ceiling, historic??? Really? We have stayed at many well appointed historic hotels throughout the USA. I was really upset with the room so although I let them know when we checked in, I asked for another room the following day and they did agree to move us the afternoon of Day 2. However, the experience ruined our stay so that s why one star rating. For over $500 per night you may wish to stay elsewhere. Food at the Sunset Terrace is very good but they got my order wrong twice. I just kept it the first time and refused it the second time. We went out for the entire day and when we got back at 3:30pm to rest our room had not yet been cleaned so we had to leave when the cleaning crew arrived. That was annoying. And, they left our dirty champagne glasses from the evening prior in the room.

I was at the Grove Park Inn for a work conference. I was informed that my room reservation was cancelled due to maintenance issues. I ended up having to stay off site and travel back and forth for conference events. A big inconvenience and a disappointment.

This trip and spa visit was a first for us and a sort of Bucket List item for me ... and it did not disappoint!! The historic portion of the Grove Park Inn, the Spa, the views, the accommodations, the food, the staff ... absolutely EVERYTHING ... was simply perfect and warm and welcoming! We will definitely be going back with extended family!!

It is my personal opinion that alhough the Grove Park Inn is beautiful and the view amazing the price is just to expensive. This food is good not amazing in my opinion, bar drinks so so but pricey ($15.) and the shops are ridiculously high for the "quality (brand names) and "hand crafted appeal. If you can afford to pay the prices, then it is a nice stay. Personally, I prefer to spend my $$$$ where I end the day with a smile and not remorse.

As I sat at the gargantuan elephant-rotisserie-sized fireplace and gazed out into the sea of wildly-colored fall foliage, I could almost imagine Theodore Roosevelt bombastically pandering to a historic assemblage of oil tycoons, lamenting Woodrow Wilson's torpid inaction and rallying support to propel America into the Great War.

Room was dated and mediocre - not worth the price. Mattresses were too soft- so back ached all night.
The best thing about the property is the historic building and fantastic lobby. Cocktails in lobby were average. Musical entertainment fantastic one night, not very good second night. Spa was much too expensive to partake so went to the Spa in Biltmore Village which was great.

Note: I mistakenly reserved a room with two double beds for myself and two sisters - this is the situation in the old building. Once I realized it, we were given a room with two queens in the new part of the resort with upcharge. They tried to put us in a handicap room -but when I insisted they put us in a premier room for $20 less. That experience was not pleasant.

All in all - interesting experience, great historic buildings. Grounds are nice.

The resort is enormous with multiple conventions going on

I wouldn't personally bring a kid here but it looks like families were having a lot of fun. We did stay here after we got married. It was the best. Coming back next year for another amazing stay.

Quiet time is 10:00 I was told by SECURITY there were noise complaints and it was only 2 ppl having a conversation so Super THIN WALLS alert. You could here a cough so imagine a conversation when "neighbors want to sleep at 10:00. $150 hold on your card I called about prior and was told $50, got here and it was $150.00. Staff was extremely nice and pleasant all the way around so no knock on the the staff just SUPER Thin Wallls Alert and it's $150 hold when you check in minus what the front desk says. Outside staff, elevators and restaurants were very nice. "QUIET" VACATION TIME THOUGH at 10:00 SMH

The location was amazing. The grounds were beautiful and maintained. Decorations were up for the holiday season and were very beautiful. We went for Sunday brunch. The food was just ok and for that price we expected better than ok. It was an experience but one we probably won't do again soon. The price for adults was $40 each I believe and we have had better food quality at other buffets. The selection was ok..(best thing I had was the crab legs and they are served cold without butter to dip) but the quality was lacking we thought. I'm sure we will have people who disagree with our recommendation and that's ok.

The omni Grove Park Inn is a beautiful hotel inside and out. It has gorgeous views, and a stunning view of the sunset. The staff is friendly. Great place to go for a coffee and watch the sun set. The fireplace inside, with the rocking chairs, is very welcoming.

Recent stay, very historic place with a Billion dollar view, the rooms are over priced by $300 plus a night. If you want to play golf there, you will pay the same as someone who just shows up. Stay away if it has rained as the course does not drain well. The $140.00 per round price is $50 over what it should be. Over all what keeps this place from receiving a 5 star is the price of EVERYTHING! Rooms, Food, Golf, Drinks, Valet etc. Other than that if you have a Grand you and your lady can spend $1,500 for a two night stay!

Grove Park Inn is one of my favorite places on Earth. The only sad fact is that I have to drive from Charlotte, NC to be there :(

If I close my eyes I can hear the tinkling piano and smell the wood fire.

Went there for drinks. Didn't get one of our drinks right and my Manhattan was crazy sweet. Total waste of bourbon. For $16+ cocktails, I expected more. But the views off the patio were great.

The hotel is in a very scenic area with the mountains & is enormous. It has a very historic feel & the spa is fantastic. I can see why past presidents have chosen to stay there. It s a little pricey for a good room with a view but my husband & I enjoyed it very much. We went for our 20th wedding anniversary. He loved all the great restaurants & the service was exceptional. If we go back I d like to spend more time at the spa & a little more time shopping.

Absolutely amazing place. I was there with my wife and her family attending a wedding, so my brother-in-law decided to celebrate his daughters first birthday there. Wow! Everything was Amazing, the venue, the atmosphere, the service...You have to go and see for yourself. I need five more stars for a ten *****.

We visited to see the Inn. Walking the floors of the main building you see in photographs the Inn's construction, and the main people responsible for the Inn. A walk back into history.

Hands down one of the most beautiful and remarkable places to stay in the world. Rooms were amazing. Service was second to none. Excellent management. It's on my list of places to return.

Beautiful lobby and grounds, outdated guest rooms, elevators and other common areas. Staff is polite and attentive. Overall the hotel is overrated for the cost.

With COVID there's no easily accessible pool. The spa pools are the only thing close to the actual hotel which aren't really available due to capacity limits, the sports complex with the main pool is not open.

Worth every penny! Came here on my honeymoon and am thankful I did. Look at a few of the photos. Truly an amazing time. Hotel itself is stunning. Rooms were perfectly adequate. Showers were gorgeous. If you can, spend a little extra to get the special treatment on the upper floors. It's worth it for the experience. The views are immaculate and the spa they have is excellent too. It's expensive, but you certainly get what you pay for. The onsite restaurant with the buffets is worth doing once or twice. You won't regret your stay here. And this hotel is within a 30 minute walk to downtown which we did a few times. Loved every bit of this experience.
