We expected something better than a two star travel lodge with the Grove Park Inn.
The building is of no consequence and overrated. The food was worse than McDonalds and the four people eating their meal had to ask the snotty waiter just what we were eating. The "view" from the veranda has no view at all due to heavy pollution. The guest rooms were again, just a tad above a two star hotel.
Hyped and a terrific waste of money. Eat elsewhere and stay elsewhere. What a pathetic joke the whole operation is.

Reading positive reviews and I must assume these people have never traveled outside of western NC, much less to Europe. So, for the locals, this property would be living large for them. The London Ritz it ain't.

The swimming pool was great, the view is amazing and the people led you out of your car and walked you to the room and when you are done with the trip they lead you back to your car. My experience was amazing and I would love to go back there again.

Best of Place in Asheville to stay. Great Fireplace to sit around and amazing food. Rooms need to be upgraded for the price they are charging. Management is very positive in attitude. We booked for three nights and suddenly we realised that we will be facing a snowstorm during our stay in Dec 2018. We wanted to cut short our stay and were very happy to see that they were refunding the unused night fees without any questions being asked for all the guests who wanted to leave early. Would love to go back again there.

We just stopped in to look at the hotel, and it is very cool. The lobby has huge fireplaces made of enormous chunks of rock. The view of the mountains out the window is gorgeous. The hotel lobby ambient music of soft jazz is headache inducing, but worth it to walk through to see this unique and huge hotel. There's an area that has a 10 minute video about the hotel and memorabilia of some famous people that stayed here. Overall, interesting, but you don't need to spend much time here unless you plan on also spending much money on the spa or golf course.

Hotel is beautiful and staff is friendly & helpful. The scenery is spectacular especially in the evening from the Sunset Terrace. The restaurants are pricey and some of the menus are limited but overall pretty good. I recommend the Cabana Grill by the Pool/Golf course, ate there 3 times and it was delish every time. And room service is really good as well.

The place was beautiful. And food was good but we were with large company Christmas party and the staff parking was no help. But not very handicapped friendly parking staff sent us to parking garage to far for someone disabled has hard time walking

The Omni Grove Park inn hotel is crowded, has Chemicals in there spa water, and the service lacks. The spa uses NO WATER FILTER for there water or showers. You basically bathing in chlorine, chemicals, radon, and fluoride. You can read articles from the NIH and government medical recommendations for exposure to chlorine and fluoride articles. If you go into any major spa similar to this facility they use Water filters with reverse osmosis water throughout the spa. At the Grove park in spa you can be exposed to high levels of VOC chemicals which is not healthy for your body. <br/>The rooms are actually pretty decent and clean. Only thing I can say is worth it. The bed is comfy and the views are stunning. I slept great. <br/>The service is awful and lead by there grounds manager Curt. I paid over $898 for one night and had to carry my bags to my room. The manager on staff Curt also made parking a hassle during my stay. He also wasted my night away having me on call to move my car from the spot in case someone has to leave. I was basically on call to move my car on vacation for $898 a night.<br/>Overall The Omni Grove Park inn hotel is crowded, has Chemicals in there spa water, and the service lacks. The current manager I dealt with is clearly not making the establishment any better by wasting customers/guests time.

Wow this hotel is amazing!!! Everything is decorated for Christmas with incredible gingerbread houses, decorated trees, and huge fire places. Perfect to drink your hot chocolate and enjoy the day. Restaurants are good but pricey. Overall I recommend a visit to this historic hotel...

My god. Best place I've ever stayed in, hands down! Very pricey but all the bit worth it. Rooms were average but staying is worth it because of the convenience of walking around in a robe with a glass of champagne

Great hotel. Beautiful grounds and hiking trails on property. Restaurants were good. Lobby bar was nice and comfortable. Good for families and adults. Short drive to many attractions in the area.

So impressive! We came here to get a drink and watch the sunset together and I am so glad we did! Beautiful location and an excellent view. We are making plans to return and spend a couple nights here!

Always love returning to this stunning historic inn in the clouds... and it rarely disappoints with its iconic mountain setting and glorious facilities and grounds.
The spa was divine as always. Only letdown was dining at Sunset Terrace where service was a nightmare and we were so sorry to have wasted a milestone anniversary dinner where the server was obviously less than interested in doing his job. Tsk tsk, Omni. We missed the OLD GPI this time <sigh>

This place is incredible. It's elegant and beautiful. I could sit inside in a rocking chair and just enjoy the fire or the amazing views and be happy. If you plan to stay, eat, or spa here, be prepared to pay through the nose. The prices match those of most 5 Star resorts.
The hotel is really nothing like the rest of Asheville, so be prepared for that. But it's special in it's own way.

We are locals and love going to the Omni for a special occasion. Each year we go for the gingerbread houses, breakfast brunch, drinks on the patio or more. It is a wonderful place to go for a celebration.

Such a rip off! While the main areas and views are lovely, our room was such a let down. The room was $450 for a premium Mountain View (which was gorgeous) but I cannot believe how grungey and outdated this place was. When you pay that much you certainly don t expect soggy wet carpet (must have been a leak going on) and over-washed worn out bedding... it was disgusting. We have no idea why they charge as much as they do for this outdated hotel. Stayed at the grand bohemian the night before and it was 100x better and much cheaper.

Bottom line, would not recommend staying the night. Just go for dinner and enjoy the scene.

One of the prettiest and most unique resorts in the country. We had amazing salads (the Lobster Cobb was remarkable) for lunch on the patio and can t wait to return for a long weekend in Asheville.

Ate at Vue 1931, my second time there in about 7 years. Food is excellent, service as well. The pricing has gone up significantly.

As a local, I don't really look forward to paying tourist prices for drinks and meals. The Omni is a great hotel chain, I lived in Orlando for 30+ years and left due to the high prices and constant growth. Seems it followed us to Asheville.

All in all this is a really nice place.... For the 1%... Don't ever forget it's all for sale folks, and it's all about the money and how much they can stick you for.

Headed there on a Saturday from an hour out, literally no one answered the phone the whole way here, bouncing around on hold, hung up on twice. Get to the gatekeeper and he says reservations only to get on the property. Explained its hard to get one when no one answers the phone, tells me to try again. Service infrastructure is garbage when they're busy.

Wonderful display of Ginger Bread creations for the National Gingerbread Competition. Took the family to see the displays. Wonderful Christmas tradition. It was nice walking through the lobby and areas with the displays. Historic Hotel.

Absolutely beautiful historical hotel overlooking Asheville and the surrounding area. Full of cool things to discover like the elevator in the fireplace and an interesting story about the Supreme Court.

Christie on the club floor was amazing. She went above and beyond to provide 5 star service. That being said, the rest of the stay was lackluster. My room was loud at night. The plumbing made loud noises all night and I slept poorly both nights as a result.

The outside of the main inn is captivating and the spa is well designed and fun. There's just something missing at this place. You can tell that it has the potential to be great but missing the details. Needs new management or retraining.

It was spectacular! #theviews I see what all the fuss is about now... we only visited for an afternoon and evening. All day valet parking for $15. Food/drinks are pricey but all worth it, if you have it...

This is a beautiful place. Even if you don't stay there, you can have lunch on the back porch and overlook some nice views.
There is free 3 hour parking just get a ticket from the parking meter and the gate will open.
Then deposit the ticket on your way out and the gate will open again. Yes, they do have some gift shops.

Very beautiful golf/spa resort. The room is quite old fashioned and the furniture looks like old. Spa access/treatment is quite expensive. The sunset cocktail terrace is a nice place to have drinks whiling seeing the nice views outside. The restaurants all have nice food.

I have been photographing weddings at the Grove park for 20 years. In the last year The brides that I have been working with, that have gotten married at the Omni Grove Park, have all raved about Eirn Pangerl. She goes above and beyond. Nice Job hiring her! she is really GOOD.

My wife and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary (actually we stayed the week leading up to our anniversary day). The resort and the views were beautiful. The food was amazing (we highly recommend the Smash Burger). The room was fine, but the bed definitely left something to be desired. We didn't sleep much the 6 nights we stayed. Otherwise this would easily be 5 stars. I definitely recommend for the amazing food, views, amenities, and location.
