Great hotel with a well situated location with a short walk to most hot spots. The hotel is very clean but then it hasn t been open long, staff were very welcoming and friendly with a speedy check in service. The room was spacious and clean with a king size bed and sofa with a big 50 tv and fridge. There was also tea and coffee facilities in the room along with a safe for valuables. The only problem I had was a really noisy vent in the room which sounded like white noise all night? So blocked it up with a scarf so it was a bit quieter and could sleep better at night.

Convient location, a great addition to the street. Close to every tourist starting point fantastic spot for first timers in the city. Equidistant to Central Park and downtown. And 5 mins from Time Square. Highly recommended location and only just open in November 2019.
Hotel very well placed near metro. Comfortable bed small room no storage and very noisy air conditioning forced to turn it off at night .. non-made room forced to ask at 5 pm and that for 3 days .. Very nice staff. Breakfast ok but saturated early in the morning difficult to find a table.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt hotel. The welcome was very warm and the staff and very attentive. The beds were very comfortable and the room large enough for a city like New York.
We've been there early January 2020, it is a quite new hotel, surely not the maximum quality but definitely it gives you everything you need for a Trip to NewYorkCity. Comfortable, but small rooms, quite good breakfast buffet. And whats most important, the location is great, just a few walking minutes to TimesSquare! So i would book it again for a NYC Visit.
Nice location, horrible expirience inside. Chaos! We recieved room, where somebody already sleep... opened door and look at different man?! At reception desk told me about shared room? I booked one deluxe room for me and my wife... staff desoriented. I booked hotel in time when dont had not so much reviews... recommendation to all: select different hotel, this is shamed place. New hotel but dirty from drywalls dust, sreally small bathrooms, unstabile wifi. More 3*, not 4*.
What a shemozzle. Reservation lost, room given away, given card to someone else's room while they were trying to get dressed, locked out of own room multiple times, 3 out of the 4 lifts broken, poor breakfast and now it's all "resolved" my 2 side by side rooms are 13 floors apart... remember those 3 broken lifts.... I never will. Stay here at your own peril.
Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for 21 days. It was a nightmare .... the breakfast is always the same every morning and includes eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, bread, orange juice, water, coffee. No dessert, no croissants and of course espresso you pay (too expensive). You have to get down early because you could do 15 minutes straight. 21 floors are served by 2 elevators, one of which made a strange and suspicious noise. The result is to wait 15 min for the arrival of the elevator often stops and makes you return to the ground floor even if you had pressed for a higher floor. The cleaning is never done, I cleaned our room alone 3 times with detergents of the cleaning lady who just drew on the beds. Many times the towels that were dirty and left us something much more serious when it decided to clean, cleaned before the toilet and then the sink. Staff unwilling to accept the demands of customers. We heard several guests complaining about the thefts and we read about the thefts on Facebook. The safe is the mini bar of the room did not work. There is no wardrobe or drawer for storing your clothes or suitcases. Roos is very noisy. There is no possibility to turn off the air conditioner. We asked for room menu, and after two hours no one has brought him. Very rude manager, when we asked him to make us the return to leave the hotel before and go to a real hotel treated us very badly. Overall, the hotel is too expensive for the service it offers and in the area (but also right in front of it) there are better hotels
I regret ignoring the bad reviews. It was my third time visiting NYC and usually I stay at the same hotel but I wanted to try something new. Foolish me... Let me first start with the positive things. The bed is amazing and the staff is trying their best but I think they need more experience.
After 3 nights we had some problems with our toilet and TV. We mentioned this before we left for some dinner and they promised to fix it immediately. When we returned the problems were still there. So we complained at the reception and the lady (other lady) knew nothing about our complaints. After pointing out that we definitely don t appreciate it, we got an other room. This one was smaller than our original room but we did not mind because we only had 2 nights left. We received complementary breakfast but at check out they wanted to charge it for 5 days. We only went to breakfast once because even though the assortment is ok, the breakfast area is not so ok. If there are a lot of guests, it seems like a battlefield.
The shower is really not what you expect from a hotel with the Hyatt name. You either freeze or get burned by the water. The amenities are only soap and lotion. No shower caps (trust me you need a shower cap with their shower head), no sanitary bags etc. Those little things that set the difference between an average hotel and good hotel.
The hotel is new but definitely does not look new. The elevators make weird noises. Power outlets don t work. It s like the developer was in a hurry to build the hotel with cheap materials.
They charged a deposit of $250 and I still did not get my money back on my creditcard. It has been 3 weeks now. I mailed them and they told me I can expect it within a couple days. I waited longer than a week and mailed them again. Still waiting for a reply....My guess is that something went wrong because of the room change.
So to make a long story short, this hotel still got a long road to go to deserve their stars. I definitely do not recommend Hyatt.
The front desk agent Julian was amazing. Such a sweet heart. Someone give that boy a raise! His hospitality was genuine and pure. Amazing check in process. The Hyatt is lucky to have such a good desk agent.
Avoid at all cost!! We had pee all over our toilet! Asked 2 times to clean it and nobody came! The sink was also disgusting. The rooms are so tiny! Never ever will they see me there again!
The breakfast buffet is congested, not well organized, and you can t find a spot to sit. However, the location of the hotel is good and within walking distance to 5th, 7th Avenues, and Times Square.
New hotel near Times Square. Our room was not vacuumed once in the 5 days. Under the bed was the empty toothpaste from the last guest. The bathroom was cleaned only moderately. Air conditioning very loud, windows soundproof. Reception staff friendly.
These rooms remind me of bad European rooms where you cannot easily walk near the bed, closet is nearly non-existent, and shower and bathroom are so tiny you can barely turn around.
Rooms are tiny. Rooms don t look anything like what they posted on pictures. Hotel staff is pretty rough. The only reason I give them 2 stars is for their breakfast
Good location and friendly staff. Like the ice machine and water on floor and convenient. Walking distance to every where in Time Square. If you walk down to river and turn left for one block. You will find an excellent waffle restaurant. They serve steak and authentic American food
Pretty sure this hotel was only set up for a tv show to see how quickly they can get people to break. We arrived early and our room wasn t ready so we went out leaving our bags with the hotel. We used the bathroom before we went out, it was filthy, the lock doesn t lock, the soap dispenser is on a stand in the middle of the room and there is absolutely nothing to dry your hands with...the sink is even half hanging off the wall. I ve been to some pretty grotty festivals and it was on par with the portaloos.
Check in is advertised at 3pm, we were told that the room was still dirty and we were to wait 5 minutes . 30 minutes later I went back to the desk as nobody had told us anything as promised (no apology). The person I had been dealing with had disappeared. It took a further 30 minutes and two more trips to the desk to eventually be given a room.
The room we were given was small (tiny) but clean. The problem was the aircon was horrendously loud. It sounded like there was a jet plane taking off. You would have got a better sleep in JFK. I have never asked to change rooms, EVER...but this room was inhabitable because of the noise.
Eventually we were given a new room, we were told to an upgraded room ...it was exactly the same as the first room (same view of the same building site wall but higher up). The good news is the aircon doesn t make a sound...because it did not work at all.
Don t bother with breakfast if offered it for free, you ll either have to queue for an hour or if you go closer to 10am there will be nothing left but filth.
We reported the aircon not working two times and nothing was done. On check out I mentioned the aircon was still not working and the guy LAUGHED! Sums up this hotel. Awful...don t do it.
Stayed here here between October 1-7. Had a room with two double beds and although the rooms are small, the location of the hotel is everything. Two adults and an 11 year old fit perfectly. I loved the bathroom setup, the shower is amazing. Coffee in the morning helped get us on the move. You re so close to everything! The staff was super helpful and friendly! They accommodated my husbands birthday gift to me and hid it for him lol. I will definitely stay here again!
Great hotel, really close to Times Square; Rooms are clean, super comfy bed and great breakfast. Only thing to point out is the AC that when it s on makes some noise, but once temperature is reached, you turn off and there you go!
I've never had better service at any hotel in my life. They paid attention to every detail and made us feel at home. Planning a trip back just because of the staff's excellent service!
Not what I expected from Hyatt Place. I stayed 1 night of my 3 night visit and then moved to better accommodations. the rooms were so small it was uncomfortable closet so small could not hang suit no dressers I room could barely turn around in bathroom. I cannot reccomend...this is a miss for hyatt place.
