Had a great experience at Green Mountain Inn with my wife. Room was very spacious and we enjoyed the nineteenth century feel. Stowe is a beautiful VT small town and many places are within walking distance of the Inn or a short drive away. Would stay again for sure!

I can t say enough great things about this hotel - the room was amazing! Huge four poster bed, giant jacuzzi and a fireplace. Our dinner at Whip was delicious - better than any other we had in Vermont.
I was there for a wedding. Staff was very friendly and timely. It was very hot in Stowe, which cannot be helped, so a lot of people were hot and the air conditioning was struggling to keep up.
We stayed 2 nights, and are so glad we chose to stay here after careful consideration of several hotels in the area. Fantastic location, clean and relaxed. The food at the hotel restaurant, Whip Bar and Grill, was really nice. Breakfast dining at the hotel buffet was great too.
A really cool inn with modern features. Right in the middle of a cool touristy town. Food and drinks at the restaurant downstairs are awesome. Would stay here again.
Very quaint and idyllic. Right in the center of town it's close to shopping and restaurants. Our room was small but just right for us. The shower was very nice. The bathroom was small but not a big concern. The hospitality of the front desk and others make it a nice place to come back to.
The rooms are spread out over a good sizes area. The amenities, indoor/outdoor pools, game room were nice. Spa prices were very reasonable for massages. They have a campfire on Saturday nights where you can make snores. Very good location to. Just outside of downtown Stowe. My wife and I had a great time a the Golden Eagle Resort
I came with my parents to see the fall foliage. The location is right in the centre of Stowe with many restaurants nearby. We stayed in a family suite and the main bedroom was nicely decorated and had a jacuzzi, though the corridor looked like a nursing home. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, though felt breakfast not quite worth it.
We just stayed at the Inn for the first time and had a wonderful visit! The staff were very friendly, the room and grounds were beautiful. The location was perfect, we were able to walk to shops and restaurants. We are already planning our next visit!
The rooms are nice and cozy, the staff is friendly and professional, and the location in downtown Stow is extremely convenient. The breakfast in the Main Street dining room is far and away the best breakfast I have had at any hotel, especially the freshly made baked goods!
The room was very nice, clean & inviting. Located in the Depot building they kept to the historical vibe with the colors, decor & furnishings but with modern amenities.
The service was fantastic, the rooms were clean and the view was splendid. Most of the shops in town, including the inn's restaurant were closed for renovation as ski season was winding down. On the other hand it gave us perfect opportunity to explore other nearby fare.
Had breakfast there and they changed the buffet to continental with a pick to order hot meal. This made breakfast slow to arrive and took away from the Sunday brunch feel.
Wicked nice place to get away. My wife and I had a room with a hot tub, very relaxing. Wonderful area, cute downtown and easy drive to Burlington. A little pricey, but worth it for an anniversary.
Easily the most relaxing place in the world. Incredible attentive staff and remarkably accommodating. Jordan at the front desk was the nicest person we met the whole trip. She had such a sweet soul. The room was clean, the pool was heated, the restaurant was the best dinner my husband and I have ever had. You get more than what you pay for. It was an amazing, unforgettable experience. We will definitely be coming back, and often!
The apartment we stayed in was so clean and beautifully laid out. Felt like a real apartment. I am hoping to have more trips there in the future. #stoweisSOCUTE
Everything here was fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly. They were all very helpful and answered every question I had. The whip bar downstairs has great food. Being only 15 minutes from the mountain and being right in the heard of Stowe was awesome. The bus stop was literally across the street. They provide free shuttle service to and from the mountain. All around 5/5 trip.
I've been going to the Green Mountain Inn for many, many years. I just feel like this place is somewhere from the past with modern amenities. It's extremely quaint, homelike, beautiful, and just a picturesque gem in the heart of Stowe Village. Every year my heart beckons to go back there. I actually have been there during all the seasons, and no matter when I go, my heart is captivated by the charm of this Inn and Stowe.
I have never stayed in the main Inn, only the luxury rooms, the luxury suites and the very spacious and beautiful apartments. The rooms and the decor are beautiful. I just absolutely love the big comfortable beds with amazing sheets and comforters. In the winter, I appreciate staying in and just enjoying the fireplace and the jacuzzi. The rooms are an extremely great value. I've gone to other inns to compare and nothing compares to the elegance and value of the GMI.
I also love the Whip Bar and Grill, the food is constantly great. I love Sunday brunch on the patio. Whenever I stayed there, I would normally go to Norma's at Top Notch Resort and Spa for a change of scenery, but Norma's is gone. I'll just have to dine at the Whip more now!!
I also have to mention how much I enjoy the afternoon tea tradition at the GMI, which is included in the nightly rate. Sitting in the beautiful living room and enjoying a cup of hot tea and cookies is a plus, especially when it's snowing outside. For me, the serene feel of Stowe and the warm, convivial ambiance of the Inn, just soothes my soul.
The staff is very professional and courteous. I especially appreciate the humor and professionalism of the manager, Paul. Thanks, Paul!
They have recently renovated the restaurant and the Inn itself, and it looks fantastic. I can't wait to go back this summer.
Very nice and updated inn. Forgot our bathing suits so could not enjoy the 4-season outdoor pool and hot tub, but it looked nice. They also said they could rent you a bathing suit at the front desk, but we did not inquire. Room was clean, bathroom was large and looked recently updated. Very nice fixtures. We ate at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. Great food and beer choices.
Lovely hotel. Very good location in the middle of the town. The rooms have plenty of character. Great outdoor pool and hot tub. Very much enjoyed our stay here.
A wonderful place to be with family for brunch or supper. We were there with family for Easter brunch. The Eggs Oscar was delicious and the childrens dishes were wonderful. Their bluberry apple crisp was superb with vanilla ice cream hit the spot with coffee. Try it! You'll like it!
Almost 200 years old...Very comfortable beds and fantastic rooms with Jacuzzis. The bath robes are a nice touch and the staff is quick to help. Close to many shops and stores. Nice outside pool and hot tub with a gym for exercise. The breakfast buffet is a very good option to take advantage of
I'd stay again without hesitation. Room was nicely set up and laid out, with New England-style built-ins. Everything was clean and smell-free. The bedding felt good, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and pleasant, and got right to it. Charming spaces; if you had to wait for someone taking the elevator upstairs, you'd be happy doing so. Decor definitely hotel, but style is derived from local historic stuff... I've never actively enjoyed a hotel sink mirror before. Only downsides: no shelf in the (nice, travertine) shower to put our own stuff, and dreadful music in the attached restaurant (but that may have been the dishwasher's end-of-shift choice.) Key takeaway: slept well.
Best location in Stowe. Great breakfasts. Clean rooms, pool and grounds. The management truly care for their property, and the service staff are very friendly. Almost feel as welcomed as visiting family.... but without the weird cousins..
Booked one night as a surprise for my 10 yr old daughter. The room was lovely. Clean. The breakfast was your typically pre fab pancakes, eggs..... stuff kids would be fine with. We chose the place largely in part for the pool/jacuzzi. I promised my daughter a swim before check out. I planned to hot tub. We got all dressed and ready only to find six elderly women with pool noodles apparently conducting their own version of aqua aerobics. They informed us we could have the pool (though half was open) when they were done. The jacuzzi was having routine maintenance and would not be open for five or more hours so basically after checkout. Needless to say I feel we lost half the value of our stay and the front desk says nothing but a typical sorry as if this stay were free. In my opinion not having access to all the amenities advertised yet expecting full payment is like ordering a four course meal, getting only two and receiving a check for all four.
This place was absolutely fantastic! It's in a great location with lots of charm and character. The heated outdoor pool and hot tub were fabulous, especially apres ski. The rooms were clean and the staff were attendant. Afternoon tea and cookies were a nice touch, as were the board games. Getting destroyed in a game of Scrabble during afternoon tea was the hardest part of my stay, although complimentary wine and cheese helped the bruised ego. All in all, my partner and I had a great time and look forward to coming back!!
