I was lucky enough to attend the Asian exhibit back in November and I successfully bid on a wonderful Jade Sculpture. I love it.

So turned off by the rude owners and the staffs' lack of knowledge that I took my stuff and went to Waddingtons. Good thing they're down the street!

My wife and I have had several opportunities working together with Andrew and Andrea of A.H. Wilkens since 2014 till to date. The purpose was to put our consignment sale for Asian Arts as well as Photographic Equipment collections through them. We are very much impressed by their professionalism, enthusiasm and dedicated efforts to ascertain realistic estimates to accomplish satisfactory results from either online or catalogue live auctions.
No doubt we will continue to participate in and also recommend referrals to A.H. Wilkens' future auctions.

Well I started with an email with my grandparents furniture. Response was we will be back in touch. I never heard anything from them. I then resent another email with more pictures. I got an apology for not replying quicker and the pictures were sent to the experts. Then 5 days later. Your photos were reviewed and they don't handle modest items. If I have other items and they list them please contact us. So I called. cate was so rude and uninterested. I do have other items but they won't handle them!

Excellent service and knowledgeable staff. Previews are like a museum where you can handle great objects and art.

We have had the opportunity of meeting the representatives at A.H. Wilkens on a few occasions in Toronto, and were extremely impressed by their knowledge base; they have a tremendous understanding of the Asian, French and Decorative Arts market to name a few. The thing I noticed at A. H. Wilkens is what I notice with all companies that are well run; they pay attention to the details. Whether it was the receptionist, appraiser or anyone else I dealt with I appreciated the way they stayed on top of my file. Their knowledge is wide ranging enough that if you find yourself with an eclectic collection of family items they can do the research to identify the gems. I recommend them highly and I know that I will be using them again. It has been a real pleasure working with the entire team.

I cannot overstate how wonderful and helpful the staff at A.H. Wilkens have been. I have found them to be knowledgeable and extremely competent. Any questions I have had have been answered and all phone or e mail messages promptly returned. It has been a pleasure dealing with them in every capacity.

Be very careful before you buy anything from this auction house . Some items are mislabelled and misrepresented . When you ask for photos asking to focus in on certain parts of the item , they just ignore you . They just send you generic photos that are of no help at all . In these days of Covid-19 when many people can't attend the preview or auction in person , this company is not in step with the times . Very frustrating company to deal with .

I had the pleasure of working several times with Andrea and her staff at AH Wilkens. They did on site estimates, arranged the sales and kept me informed of the process. Everyone we dealt with at each stage was completely professional. The sales were all successful and I was paid on time. I understand this is a fast paced business working on small margins in a very competitive space. Andrea is a real pro, she gave me very good advice about the items I wanted to sell and was honest and realistic in her appraisals, the sales met or exceeded her estimates and met our expectations. It is always hard to sell your treasures but Andrea and her team made it easy. I recommend Andrea and her team at AH Wilkens.

They have some beautiful pieces but be prepared to lose out unless you are willing to bid in person. If a floor bidder wants an item, the auctioneer will sometimes ignore the online bid, or close the bidding too quickly for a rival online bid to be submitted. This hurts both sellers and buyers and I would encourage A.H. Wilkins to remedy this unfair practice.

AH Wilkens has been working diligently to help my family auction off an inherited estate. They also handle furniture which is a difficult task considering storage needs etc. Other auction houses in Toronto do not handle furniture. If it was easy I'd do it myself.
