A great visit to the LA Zoo once again! Being a deluxe member is really a benefit, we get 3 adults and 7 kids in for free. I enjoy the zoo more than amusement parks, since the kids learn about nature and get extremely excited to see all the animals. The food is okay, not great, burgers, fries, salad and the like, but you don't really come to the zoo for food anyway. Go see the elephants, they've put in a lot of work on that exhibit and it shows.
This was my first time at the LA Zoo lights event 2017. It was fun for the entire group; the little ones, teens, and adults. We'll be back next year. Seaons Greetings and Happy New Year 2018
Very nice place to visit non expensive, membership is supreme,
Great weekend trip. Amazing for the kids and fun for the adults!
Went on a Saturday and it was not very busy. The only complaint i have is that there are no canopies when waiting for refreshments. I went to 3 places to get a drink had to wait in the hot sun.
Apparently shaved ice is food, and you cant take it into the bird show. That is outside. We were asked if we could set it outside somewhere for the show. How funny. Shaved ice in 100 degree weather.
The animals seemed well taken care of, but a lot of their enclosures were empty.
Too the kid recently on a Saturday and unfortunately more then 30% of the animals were inside. We still had to a great time but abit disappointed
The visit was ok. Some exhibits were closed due to the virus and others were just empty. My kids still had fun. It was a good walk.
Always see something different, annual passholder. Lots of walking.
Huge zoo with lots of animals. It took us almost 4 hours to do the whole loop and see most of the animals.
I also liked the plant exhibits. It's a perfect mixture.
There are a lot of activities for kids, but be aware most of them rewire you to pay extra.
Great zoo, but some of the large bird enclosures seemed so small for the birds they were housing.
Expected too see more... not as fun as I imagined...
Will say that in my opinion, San Diego Zoo has it beat. But nonetheless, this is a pleasant outing, and the animals do seem well cared for.
Great for people of all ages, Zoo Lights during the holidays gets better every year.
Saturday morning on Mother's day weekend. Very nice, comfortable weather, plenty of sunshine with plenty of people. A nice place to spend time with kids. Can get very crowded on weekends with nice weather!
Great kids zoo that gets very hot and crowded on days off. Try the petting zoo, it's really nice
The animals are not properly taking care, from what i see they can do a lot better, especially when has daily visitors.
Enjoy a hippo experience for $20.
Feed the giraffes for $5 (cash only)
Highly recommend bringing cash.
Big park with lots of twists and turns!! Arrive early and fill out your passport for free gift!
very nice place and you know many species of animals
I really like the care that the animals have, it is a place with a lot of vegetation. Clean and much order
Nice place.
Big parking....
The animal exhibits are really well done, and beautifully designed. Also the scheduled talks are great too. Our only complaint is that most of the food vendors were not open so we had to search for a place to eat for lunch. Otherwise we had a great day.
Be ready for good exercise... Great experience for family...
Awesome experience. We were there for the Alzheimer's Walk. It was early enough so the animals were out and about. Excellent experience. I'll be back!
Nice zoo, I gave it 4 stars because it's not big enough and also there were empty places and cages. Was expecting for something bigger.
I recommend to go anyway, but take to consideration that when it's hot the animals are not that active so it's better to go early in the morning.
There's giftshops and restaurants to eat at. Overall the area is great
Visited during the LA Zoo Lights for the holidays. It was so much fun and beautiful. Worth the visit at least once or Even twice. Kids had so much fun and great for all ages.
They were having a special event and there was a lot of areas blocked off and some spots there were no animals.
Good exercise as the exhibits are spaced apart fairly far from each other. Wish some exhibits were closer to the front of the zoo. Giraffes and otters seem like the happiest animals. Don't go if you're most interested in seeing lions. The lions need more space to roam and are sleeping on 95% of our visits.
Always fun. great place for walks. The elephants are nice. Love the giraffes. A lot of areas have been remodeled. If you are local I think it's best to get the year pass .
The maintenance supervisor does a marvelous job in keeping workers busy and cleaning the facility in a safety environment.
Super friendly staff! The animals seem well attended
Amazing fun for adults and kids, summer is just not the right time to go extreme heat and animals hidding so cant see much
I loved this place I think it's better then the San Diego zoo
Large, but pretty sad zoo. The animals do not have a lot of space and definitely do not look happy. I saw this zoo after the one in Columbus OH, no comparison, the one in Ohio is so much better!
Fun, nice, peaceful, an amazing place to go for a nice little break from the bustling city for an afternoon enjoying the many graceful and excited animals
It's a great experience to see all the animals live, if you visit in the summer bring plenty of water, it gets hot!
The LA zoo has gotten much better since I was a kid. There are a few did options that seem over priced, but the exhibits are nice. They also have some special events and exhibits (the current one is a dinosaur walk with some animatronic models). The zoo is a bit of a hike, so come prepared to walk
Wonderful experience for the whole family, kids are extremely happy
Love all the animals, but the best were the reptiles and the elephants.
It's a family environment.kids and adults will love it. It has restaurants restrooms and you will take a nice walk around exploring animals habitat and where and how the are.. good staff close all animals one hour before closing the zoo of parking lot and quick highway exit.. I recommend to everyone no matter the age
If you love long walks and animals this is the place for you. Be forewarned, the place is huge and you will get dehydrated and sunburnt if you do not take the necessary precautions.
I really like it as far as it's nice , always feel bad for animals but it's the world we live in
I give it for stars
Terrific zoo from start to finish. Spent 4 hours walking the zoo and its attractions.
One of my favorite places in la... very chill and laid back, tastefully dated. The zoo is huge and is a nice healthy hike with beautiful plants and animals here and there! Def check it out
I loved the perfect weather and there weren't many people.
A lovely place to visit - I was very happy to see that many of the placards included information about the species location, behaviors, and level of endangerment. Some areas even included conservation efforts and how they're connected to worldwide organizations that are aimed at increasing species numbers. The keepers are caring and informative!
Loved it my kids were happy to see all the animal. Defently will come back soon
All the animals are amazing best place you can visit with your family.
Great place to take the family for fun. My kid's got to see all kinds of different types of animals. Awesome time.
An excellent zoo and a very friendly staff. Me and my wife love to take our son to see all the animals and spend a very nice day.
Great exhibits bring your kids . The food here is actual not bad either. Could eat the candied almonds for days!
I like visiting the animals and enjoying the zoo shows they have
Los Angeles zoo is one of the attraction in Los Angeles. Can see wide variety of animals, snakes and birds. Different types of species are there. Count of animals is very less. Maintained the surrounding properly and cleanly. Feels like you are going through a forest. Friendly staff is another attractive point. You can spend around two to three hours with your family. Kids will like this place very much.
It was an ok experience, they have lots animals, but most of them were not too active during the visit, maybe need to be here at different time.
Love the zoo!!! And some zookeepers here are so helpful and always give so much information going around and specifying about each animal! Such a memorable place!
Cool place to visit, closes to early during the week
Great experience. With exception of some of animals hiding due to heat.
