This is a really fun place. Lots to see and do for kids and adults.
I highly recommend going here. Lots of fish from Lake Superior can be found here. Like Muskegon and Lake Sturgeon. Also fish from other countries like Piranha and Jellyfish. And a Bald Eagle and Turkey Vulture. Great place to go with kids.
I think that was a great day for me. I love the way you look at different things.
It was a very nice aquarium then people were very nice and talked to the kids and made them feel part of the aquarium. Very educational.
Not bad for a common Aquarium, little overpriced but it has a large variety of fish and really friendly staff.
I love this place! It's pretty expensive but completely worth it to touch a jelly fish!
Kind of a let down, very basic aquarium in and out with in 30 min. A lot of stuff is blocked off or not in use. It is something to do but I wouldn't spend money on going during covid. Value for you money isn't there.
Amazing place! Inexpensive to get in and you are able to see a wide variety of different species found in the Lake Superior waters.
The inner child in me also loves the tank where you re able to touch the sturgeons.
The divers are awesome, too! Very interactive with the attendees and fun to communicate to through the glass.
This was so amazing and informative. Make sure to check out the we'll if it's there. I loved the light thing that shows when the eel is sending out electrical pulses
Its a cute little aquarium that's a lot of fun. The touch tanks especially! Would give it 5 stars if it were a little cheaper or if they offered student pricing, but still all around a good time for what you spend on it.
2 year old daughter had a blast. So did mom and dad
A fantastic way to learn about the area and is very family friendly!
This place is beautiful. It is well kept, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the exhibits are all kept immaculately clean.
Great place to learn they also have some new exhibits coming to the aquarium
Fun way to spend a couple hours with your kids. Touching the sturgeon is a must
A wide variety of life! They also have touch pools. TOUCH POOLS! I touched a shark!
Great time with my students, it was nice to have the place to ourself and enjoy it!
Staff were knowledgeable, and friendly. The attractions were neat, and well kept. And toddler Tuesdays makes it actually worth the money to go.
5 dollars for parking alone. Nearly 20 dollars for admission. Most of these poor creatures had no room to roam, a rather pedestrian selection of creatures at that. It's not worth the price. The general feel of the place doesn't match that of an aquarium, but a lame pet store/museum. They should really set these creatures free, so they don't have to suffer the fate of being stared at by generic, stuffy white people for the rest of their existence.
Awesome. Could be a little cheaper, for larger groups.
Was very fun to see all the different types of fish and other animals that they had. One of the coolest parts is the electric eele they have which lights up Christmas light on the outside of the tank whenever it swims and touches this plate. Was very cool to see.
This place is a must stop for our family when we visit duluth
Aquarium filled with fish to be viewed. Kind of fun.
Very interesting and great place for family vacation
A varied and detailed representation of the aquatic life worldwide but with an emphasis on the great lakes.
Super fantabulous experience!! Highly recommend for all ages! Lots of hands on exhibits.
Unique place with a lot of information & quite a few animals.
Self guided exhibit, informative staff, great displays, and a great gift shop.
It's just a small aquarium showcasing some local fish, so its pretty cool to see the fish that live around Duluth/Minnesota. But there's nothing too special or amazing, no whales or anything like that. It's pretty small, good for kids, educational, probably spend an hour here. I've visited aquariums such as The Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan (apparently the largest public aquarium in the world) and Sea Life Sydney Aquarium, so I guess my expectations are high up there.
Really good people kind place, lots of fish! Loved it!!!
Great aquarium, lots to see and do. Packed with lots of exhibits to explore and lots of things for kids to learn and experiment with. A good way to spend a few hours, and they have many different activities throughout the day.
Not cheap but a cool experience with nice harbor views.
Great way too kill some time indoors and learn a lot at the same time!
Had a wonderful time! The staff is friendly and cares about what they're doing, the exhibits are well kept and beautiful, and I would come back any time.
Really awesome place to see a lot of cool fish and other aquatic creatures. You can pet most of them as well.
The exhibits are too small for the number and variety of fish/animals. One take was filled with different species, all of which were sick or injured. (if this was a hospital tank, there was no indication.) Not worth the money, sad for the fish, birds, and animals.
This is probably one of the best aquariums I have been too. The sturgeon tank was probably our favorite.
Very cool place. We had fun exploring and learning. Great place for families!
I wished that it was bigger or the entrance fee was a bit lower, but then it was very educational. I feel it is a bit over priced.
They are great place to take the kids and they have a great selection of fish and a electric cell at about eight feet long
So much fun! I loved this Aquarium especially the local fish species they had on display. Also had turtles birds and otters.
Can you ever have too many fish?
And let's be honest... you want to play with the boats. 9 or 97... you know you do.
A neat, fresh-water aquarium with lots for kids to do. It's not huge, what I've found is perfect for a 1/2 day visit with my 4-6 yr olds. There is a lot aimed at kids and teaching them about the local environment. The otters are a must-see! So lively and playful.
If you have younger kids I'd recommend bringing an extra shirt or set of clothes if they are toddler aged. There is a fun hands-on exhibit teaching kids how the big boats go through the Great Lakes Locke system. They tend to get soaked and love playing with the boats. We always save that for last. :)
It's a bit pricey but if you are local you can get a years pass that makes it more affordable.
A very fun place to spend a morning or afternoon. There is plenty here to keep the attention of the young or old. The otter exhibit is particularly captivating. Also, if you want a great view of the lift bridge in action, the aquarium has balconies with great views.
I went here with a friend, and we were a bit disappointed with the experience. We were expecting an all-ages type of experience, but it seemed to be mainly for children.
If you have kids, I can assure you it'll be a fun time! There are many animals and interactive exhibits here that your little one(s) will enjoy immensely!
However, if you're an adult nerd (like my friend and me), you may want to pass on this one and go to a museum instead.
Lots of touch tanks, kids loved that. Expensive admission.
If there's outside activities available, do that. Perhaps, a good rainy day option. We were in and out in two hours.
Had the best time here! Make sure you visit all the touch pools.
Small but really awesome exhibits. Worth the price of admission. Great place for families, lots of things for kids to do. Fully wheelchair accessible.
Great place to go for a Family tour! Variety of animals and loved the Sturgeon aquarium!
We went here for a day during our vacation and it was an amazing experience there feeding were very informational and there were many animals to see
The aquarium was great. It had a lot of the fish of the great lakes, and it had fish from other places. We watched fish from shipwecks get fed and it was amazing. The octopus was very cool, and it changed colors! It was very hands on. And you won't get bored. You can pet all different sturgeon, and a lot of their fish we're rescued. It was a great time, and I would recommend it.
This was the first time I visited a freshwater aquarium. It was a great visit. The layout showing the great lakes and how the ships get from the ocean to Duluth is amazing. Very interactive and educational. The Otters are so fun to watch here. This is a great aquarium with lots to see. Thank you for the military discount!
2 stories of information filled exhibits. Would love to go again.
Don t expect to see anything exotic or outlandish. Clean and organized. Is to expensive to enjoy especially when trying to breath behind a mask.
Indoor, fun educational experience for my kids and I. Buy a season pass, much better deal if you plan on going more than once.
Seems a little money grubbing to charge for parking AND a not so cheap entry fee.
Love this place. So much to look at and learn, not just about fish but about the great lakes.
Not many exhibits for the size of the building it is in. YOU HAVE TO PAY $5 for parking and then get tickets
Really special little place. Amazing quality of exhibit for a smaller city. Beautiful building that is well maintained. Feedings are throughout the day, check the website. Lots of educational stuff for kids, great family destination as well as somewhere to stroll on a date before dinner.
Interesting history of the region, is both museum and aquarium
What a wonderful place to learn about the Great Lakes and local Minnesota wildlife. This aquarium is extremely unique and offers a wonderful time for families and kids. This Aquarium has multiple floors with a variety of interactive exhibits. On our visit they even had jelly fish for you to touch! You can also tell how hard the employees work here and they really care about your visit. The gift shop at the end is well stocked and offers unique items to remember your trip.
A nice place to escape the heat (or cold) for an hour or two. Lots of little exhibits and stuff to do, mostly geared toward younger visitors but still very interesting. Not as much Aquarium stuff as I expected.
2nd best if not the best aquarium we have been to. The layout is great. Plenty of interactive areas for the kids and adults. Will be back again!
