My wife and I love this place. The selection of beer is tasty. The staff friendly and helpful. They have board games to play with friends or strangers and they allow well-behaved-dogs-on-a-leash into their establishment.

GrassLands is a great local find. It's a casual atmosphere in a great location where you can grab a beer with your boo or chill with friends. I am not an experienced beer drinker so I primarily stick with wheat beers, but I felt that the menu was well described for those looking to try something new. The prices were fair and I would say about $6 or $7 per beer; on average.

I love the decor. Its nicely decorated with a southern rustic style. It's very brown, dim, earthy and inviting.

This establishment has Trivia Tuesday which sounds to make for a fun night. They also provide board games that you can use while sipping on your beer. This atmosphere is so relaxed that there is no pressure to hurry up and leave. In fact, I believe they welcome those looking to "hangout." This is definitely a great way to spend some time outside of a typical bar or club. It was about a group of 10 of us and we were pleased to find that there is a private room in the back; just past the restrooms. We had a high top table to ourselves and could be as loud as we wanted without the fear of disturbing others.

Side notes: Only beer is offered.
There is not a full bar.
No food is offered, but they allow you to bring in any food.
They are pet friendly.

I am very excited that I can finally write a review in Tallahassee about a change for the better. After years of struggling to find a beer I liked at Grasslands, my mind has been completely changed following a recent visit. While sitting at the bar and working my way through a flight, I got to chat with the owner Gabe Grass and hear all about the revitalization in Grasslands brewing process over the last few months.

During this past summer of 2017, a brand new production-sized system, with improved procedures and ingredients, replaced the previous small batch system that had left much to be desired that was turning out beers with inconsistent quality and taste. The new system and staff are now producing beers almost unrecognizable from the previous ones. I was blown away by the difference in taste amongst all the beers, with my particular favorites being the LeeRoy the Red imperial red ale, the Advanced Darkness porter, the Blonde Claude Van Damme blonde ale, the Fourth Orbit red ale with ginger, the Basketball Jones dunkelweiss, and even the goofy Thanksgiving Stuffing Horizon Line, which actually tastes like mom s stuffing (in a good way). I had tried most of these beers previously and the difference in quality and taste from then to now is literally night and day.

I completely understand that a brewery can go through some growing pains and that it takes time to get things right, especially when trying to do the best one can with a small, limited system. I am just happy to see that Grasslands has finally gotten it right! Thank you so much for the experience Gabe and I look forward to being back soon!

GrassLands is definitely worth a visit if you are in town. They have a sweet location with board games and wifi (if I was a student in town I'd be here every night), and a great deck to hang out on. The beer selection is good, they have some classics as well as some experimental stuff.

Great new brewery to add to Tallahassee! The location is excellent and the beer on tap is great. While they aren't serving their own beer at this time, it will be a cool experience to watch them build out their brewery in the back. A few tvs to enjoy some sports but not enough to detract from the feeling of a brewery. Nice staff and very informed. Love the decor and how cozy it feels. Will be returning soon.

Update: GrassLands has been serving their own beer for some time now and it's fantastic. They are always working on something new (and delicious) and have worked and reworked offerings and prices to make everyone happy. A true local business with great staff.

Nice brewery, with a laid back atmosphere. Weekly trivia game, and some board games to play with your friends while you drink. Inside and outside seating. A decent selection of beers, but typically only American ales and IPAs.

Jake, head brewer at Grasslands is great! Jake took us on a tour of the brewery and taught us how brews are made. I highly recommend this brewery and encourage expansion to Jacksonville! Great selection, good prices, friendly service! Ordered TLH BREW! Fantastic pale ale!

Great place was in from out of town on an off weekend during a holiday weekend and had great service and conversation with bartenders. Walked from their to proof brewing and immediately regretted leaving when I met the staff that was less than pleasant.

Fun beer spot for craft beer, board games, and trivia (Tuesday night)! Not the best beer in town, though. Small seating area outside (covered) if you want to bring a pup. Casual atmosphere, which I really like. You can also bring/order food.
