Neat little place and a must-visit if you're a traveler that is into beer. The taproom is beautiful and has pretty reasonable prices ($6.75 for a 20 oz. pint, $18 for a "map" of 5 oz. tasters). I went on the tour which was alright the on-site brewery is a little small so there wasn't much to see but our tour guide Jack did a great job about educating us about the history of beer, plus you get 3 5 oz. tasters which was pretty good for the price.

Plus and minus is the small number of seats. On the plus side (once seated) the place is intimate and cosy. On the minus side it can take awhile to get that seat. Food is as expected, grandiose expectation setting in the menu, and not dissapointing but basic pub fare on delivery. I stuck to the IPA which did not disappoint, and was on point. Living in Seattle, I'm used to stronger and hoppier, but there was nothing wrong with their IPA. I managed three pints! All in all I would reccomend.

Warm inviting atmosphere with amazing top craft beers. Every week you can find a different rotating tap & their tacos with chips and guacamole is simply to die for. Enjoy this place and love the full map of beer tasting available to try (beer smelled great lol as I don't drink)

New to Vancouver? We have maple cookies and we also have local beers too!!!! Place is nicely designed and you can see brewery through the big glass (I believe they do have tour schedule too)

Servers are knowledgeable with what they have and they all seem happy too! (Happy staff = Good service) decided to sample all of their product and ordered these. You will know what you are drinking because the sheet under the glasses will tell you! Wish I was more knowledgeable with beer but I surely enjoyed them all!

Take out was quick and easy, no prices anywhere to be found though or the quantities of the beer packs as well!
13$ for a 4pack of German pilsener imitation beer is extremely expensive compared to the competitors...
If you are extremely thirsty and you have no other option than dying from dehydration go for it!

Granville Island Brewing convinces with helpful customer service, great drinks and foods and reasonable prices. It's possible to visit the brewery and go to a shop to purchase a souvenir. Space is somewhat restricted and line-ups can be quite long.

There is a wait to get inside, but it's not very long. Service was quick, and the food was delicious. We ordered a pizza and a charcuterie board. The one disappointing aspect was the beer itself. I've had better beer elsewhere, and for all the hype surrounding it, it didn't deliver. Everything else about the brewery is awesome though, and you should definitely check it out.

Host may have been a humourless zombie, can neither confirm nor deny. He wiped our table down then left the garbage for us to snack on, very strange. beer was decent, nice variety of beer if you're into that hipster swill. Charcuterie board we ordered had four crackers.. and no bread very disappointing for 18$. Chicken wings were more like pigeon wings as they were about as big as a Childs pinky. Poutine was okay frozen fries salty gravy and about three cheese curds what you would expect from a vancouver "poutine" ( vive le Quebec ) 2 stars better luck next time

GIB, thank you so much for continuing to make my favourite beer ever. I wait all year to enjoy Lions Winter Ale. I'm so happy I can get it in Ontario through the Beer Store. Please never stop making this beer. Thanks!

Pretty good service and food. We were visiting Vancouver and stopped by here and we had a good experience. Really liked a couple of their beers. Had to wait for a table but not for too long and that's expected anyways given that it's in a very touristy area.

Just went there for beers, which was a definitive recommendation. Went there alone which for me was good since it was a queue to get a table. The service, beer & atmosphere was really nice.

Excellent choice of different brews. We order a flight (4x5 Oz) for $7.50. We got 2 rotating taps (scotch ale and stout) and Sunshine Coasr Hefe, Infamous IPA. The granville island lager and the IPA are the best done beers imo.

A great venue with cracking service from Rebecca despite how busy they were, but we felt like they weren't as adventurous with the beers as they could have been.

If you prefer your beers a little milder, well worth a visit.

Do the brewery tour if you can. I've done it before but missed the last tour on this visit. You can get a selection of beers to try for a reasonable price. You may have to wait for a seat at busy times

Wow! What a great place to stop in and have some fresh brews! Try the flight and get a taste of everything. The beer here is super fresh, and they have a wide selection; certainly something for every palate.

I had the soup and grilled cheese sandwich - fantastic bread and cheese selection.

I really liked the gift shop as well. I picked up a few glasses and they were very reasonably priced.

A total must of you're near Granville Island!

The hostess was kind enough to find me a place at the busy long table. I sat down and perused the beer menu and decided on an IPA. However the server never appeared and sadly after 7 minutes of being invisible I decided to leave. Nobody likes to feel unwanted.

Very disappointed with my visit to the brewery. I understand that their will be some restrictions due to COVID, so I get that I couldn t do a tour etc. But not being able to order a taster board ? The choices were very limited and some of the unique flavours you could only get in a tall can. Not only that, but the service was below par, waited quite a while for the bill.

We came here at a pretty busy time in August. Service was decent, but average.

We ordered the charcuterie board and two flights of beer between the four of us. Both items were just okay. I found the board to be pretty plain and the beers to be so-so in taste.

Fine drinks, was expecting more shazam for it being a Vancouver staple. However one staff member, I believe Zack? He was great and deserves praise. Very kind and helpful. Knowledgeable. Thank you Zack for treating us well!

Appalling service. Stood around the table forever which they didn't clean from previous customers, until we specifically asked them to. Same with getting the menus and the bills, we had to ask them. The food took forever, and the beer was average at best.

We wanted to leave them no tips, but the bill already included a mandatory 15% gratuity.

I was really excited to visit this place, having heard of it back home in Ontario, but I was thoroughly disappointed. It seemed there was only 2 servers for the whole taproom causing us to wait 45 between getting drinks and ordering food, but the food was mediocre at best (the fish tacos were about 80% guacamole and you wouldn't have known there was fish in it). Overall, big let down caused by big hype.

We tried out a flight and a cider at the brewery. You can pick the beers you want in the flight. They even had a beer called the. baconator with smoked malt. It s a super busy place but just like up a short time and you ll get in. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Great food at this brewpub style brewery. The whole experience is very clean, but lacks a homegrown vibe. The have an average array of standard beers. Service tends to be a bit slow and crowds can be a pain. Try the hefe for an extremely banana-y beer

Need a well deserved rest from the madness of the public market then this is the place. I've never done the tour but the savouring a taster is a must. The atmosphere is chill and the service is decently quick. Food isn't what to for but there is a ton of food to get at the market. My personal favs are the maple cream ale, honey lager and raspberry ale.

One thing to not that this isn't the place to go to tie one on since there is a limit each customer can be served.

I even before the pandemic, we loved their beer, but now with curbside delivery, we love it even more. The service is fast, accurate, and friendly! My only suggestion: make Mocha Porter year-round!!!

-MUST READ- Obligatory 20% gratuity charged to tables of 6+ people (even though we were 4 adults / 2 kids, paying separate bills).

To add insult to injury, the service was basic at best.

We had to ask for cutlery, water and even our bill (which they got wrong). Not to mention, the food was sub-standard.

I understand the brewery is visited by many tourists, some from countries that don t tip. I d be happy with an automatic 15% (as that is the standard), or even 18%... but an automatic 20% gratuity is ridiculous, especially with a poor level of service.

I really enjoyed this place, but with this pricing.. I ll go to the Keg (at least they have a happy hour).

Just went for some beers first time around. They have some of the best craft beer an independent Canadian brewery has to offer. Good stuff all around, something for everyone's tastes. Good prices for drinks as well. Honey lager is a must taste in my book.

This was a lovely and wonderful brewery! Terrific beer tastings! We tried 10 beers for $18 and weren't let down! If you're in town, come by and check it out. It's in the mix of shops here on Granville island. Also, for us the English bay pale ale tasted just like the maple shack cream ale tasted exactly the same to us. Very interesting to try all the rotating microbrews! See what you taste!
