Love the beers here. Just wish they would be open ...
Love the beers here. Just wish they would be open later and have more finger food options. I would spend long evening there if they did.

Did the brewery tour. Nice simple tour which includes 3 tasters of their regular beer and a sample of their special run.
Great place for happy hour, great beer, decent food, festive atmosphere and paying a far price.
Never got in because the host doesn't have any control, there's no waiting list, the only thing she said is start the line up, first come first serve. Five minutes later a couple came in and stay in front of me, she didn't say anything, as I wasn't in the mood to do her job I went to another bar so did the girls behind me.
Cool brewery, great atmosphere, friendly and fast staff, and a must stop on Granville Island.
It is a local brewery in Granville and is a place where people can drink comfortably. If you go to the Granville area, do not just eat it, you can sample it and eat it.
Review for beer and experience only. While I enjoyed having a brewery on the island to go to after walking around the market, I thought this place was ok. None of the beer really stood out too much for me and I imagine its always busy and hard to get in when the island is busy. Its pretty small in there. We didnt eat anything while we were there, but the food did look good. I would probably stop in again if I were on the island, but wouldnt make a special trip for it.
Very tourist friendly place in Granville Island. Excellent vibe, great beer variety. I recommend ordering the full map (10 beers) so you can get an idea of all the beer styles the pacific northwest has to offer.
Although most beers are pretty good, you will need to look elsewhere else if you re looking for a proper connoisseur oriented brewery.
Neat tour of a brewery on the rise with a knowledgeable guide. Busy spot with plenty of styles to choose from. Beer flavor is subjective in enjoyment.
Love the craft beer and ambiance. Great service too.
Beer than drinking. It was delicious. Also satisfied cuisine!
Went there for a growler refill service was super slow and the lady filled it up in the tap which I thought was weird but what ever maybe it s the way they do it but when I opened my growler it was only 2/3 full. We wrote an email to Granville island brewery and never got a respond :(
Fun little brewery in Canada. Their signs each day were hilarious! The various beers they have are really great. They give generous samples as well.
Great beer. My favourite is the Heyday hefeweizen. The food was surprisingly good. I did not expect the food to taste as good as a fine dining restaurant. My wife had a burger. The ground beef tasted real fresh, I believe they make it in house. The pulled pork was very moist with a very tasty BBQ sauce. Both dishes have generous servings. Would definately come again, next time friends and order a pitcher of beer.
Upon walking in the two of us were seated directly across from complete strangers at a table. No other option was given. Tried to move to empty part of the table and were told to go back to the host's preferred seats. Waitress took over 20 mins to get us water. We said we needed a minute longer with the menu and 45 minutes later the waitress had still not returned to take our food order. I usually like Granville beer but the raspberry is to sweet compared to others such as Wildrose or Brewster's raspberry beers.
Needless to say we drank our one beer each and got the hell out of there.
Beer was OK, nothing special. Bit of a wait to get seated, even for the bar. Didn't try the food.
Ok. No flights. Poor service. Undercooked food. They played the same Bon Jovi song twice in a row. It was definitely a unique brewery experience.
Amazing place if you like your craft beer. Went o one of the educational tours of the brewery and learned lots about the brewing process
We have been coming to their tasting room for years and generally enjoyed the experience. Not as good as other tasting rooms, but decent selection and vibe. Today we decided that we wouldn't go back. The service was mediocre, as usual, the ambience was late night bar loud, the beer glasses smelled of chlorine and detergent, and the selection was boring and limited. So far behind what others are doing. So sad.
Saison was okay. Maple beer was great. Food was good.
Good social distancing and cleanliness behaviours. Welcoming staff, delicious food and drink! Will be back :)
The HOST Racist af!! so rude.
I felt seriously Racial DISCRIMINATION!! I NEVER COME AGAIN!!!
The wait is long on hot days, but the value of their tasting flight is worth it!
Value: Only $7 for four 5oz glasses of your beers of choice! They always have the same 8 beers on tap and 2 new ones that they change up.
Food: The poutine and pizza are popular choices food wise.
Small batch brews are absolute next level, always top notch!! My only gripe is that you can't buy in the local liquor store - do yourself a favour, make the trek down to Granville Island and pick up a few...
Tried the tasting map with their 3 rotating beers and it was great. Snacked on the red snapper tostadas, which were small but good for a tiny bite. Would recommend sharing the tasting map with someone.
Wasn't impressed. My boyfriend was quite excited to go here and try the beer and food. We had to find parking at Granville island (insane and took an hour to find a 3 hour spot) once we got to the brewery, it was another hour and 15 minutes wait. We were seated, not given enough menus so our group had to share. We ordered our food and beer. The waitress came back and said they were out of burgers. They also didnt gave any cask ale left. We changed our order. The food came. My mom's coffee was cold. My boyfriend, who ordered the taster selection of beers, had the wrong ones brought. They brought my daughter the wrong pizza. We were then missing cutlery. By the time we were finished there was like 15 minutes lifer before our parking was up. Sigh.
It was likely just a bad day? They have good reviews. They offered us a discount off our bill so that was nice.
Beer here can also be purchased at the liquor stores in the city. The variety is popular.
Here at the Brewery in Granville Island, you can try several types of beer (there were four), so it's recommended.
This is the place to go whenever you go to Vancouver.
Great tour and you get 15% in the gift shop afterwards.
Great place to taste different beers, try the May Day
Always enjoy stopping by here. Is a must if you have guests in town! Awesome place to stop and have a beer and snack. All staff are very friendly, establishment is very clean! They have a liquor store off to the side if you find something you like.
Great atmosphere. Could benefit from a easier and more sophisticated menu to match the excellent drink. 8.9 out of 10.
For the first time one of my friends from Calgary took me here last year. Since then every time my friends from outside Vancouver/Canada visit here, it's a must to take them to this wonderful brewery, especially in summer.
They have so many kinds of beer on tap and always give me a hard time to make up my mind. I normally go with Flight, a pint of Sunshine Coast
Hefeweizen or Raspberry Ale. Their potine and tacos were excellent to have with the beer. The staff were friendly and attentive. And very patient with me being indecisive :)
Brewery is my destination whenever I go to Granville Island.
Was really surprised by this place. From past experience with breweries, I thought the food would be just okay, but the wings and flat bread were quite good. Also got a meat and cheese board that was excellent. I am not a big beer person, but the beers were also great.
Good beer but a description of the seasonal stuff would be nice.
Good place to finish the market walk. Beer with local flavors, food to accompany at a good price for Granville. Friendly staff and fast service. Order the 'fligth' to try 4 of their beers in small version
Really good selection of local beers. Staff are very friendly. Great place to relax, eat good food and drink great beer.
Staff were friendly and the brews were amazing! The tour is well worth it!
Small nice brewery, super services, very well visited, delicious beer and who is hungry can eat here a little something, was fun
The best brewing!! Amazing beers made with so much love!! If you love beer... You must go there!! Cheers
Great beer, service and surprisingly the tacos were amazing. Something about the tortillas... I couldn't stop talking about them with my wife whom is Mexican.
We always make a trip to Granville Island Brewing our last stop in Vancouver. From old favorites like the English Bay Pale Ale to the smaller craft offerings they're pouring growlers and crowlers of there are so many great options to be had.
The Service: Wonderful~ The server is super attentive. They know the beer selections very well. He gave great recommendation too.
The Food selection was so-so... typical bar food. A little bit pricey also.
Each customer can only taste 3 small size (4 oz) beer or 1 large glass (12 oz). Not too many beer selections. People said because they don't have full liquor license?
They also offers tour in their brewery room. It is interesting see those big machine through the glasswalls.
Best beer ever!! The honey lager is my fave and it pairs with everything!
Had a few brews both on site and at other locations throughout town. Overall, I found their beer to be OK. Not bad, not memorable either.
I love this brewery the best in Vancouver and the food is so good. The staff here are awesome, really good atmosphere.
Interesting selection of craft brews and delicious foods.
The tour of the brewery is underwhelming, but everyone is very knowledgeable, and they have a great selection.
Food is average but that is not a bad thing, you will get exactly what you ordered, nothing too amazing, but nothing bad either. Recommend specially if you are bringing people from out of town. Safe bet.
Rent must be too much to afford a decent brewmaster. Skip this spot.
Nice microbrewery. You can have all types of beer (time 10) in 6oz. Try glass, 4 for 7.50 or all for $ 18. The burgers were delicious too. Depending on the time of day, you have to expect waiting times. In the store next door you can also buy the beers in a pack of 6.
Waited an hour for our food only to find out the the waiter forgot to place the order with the kitchen. It's a pity such a well known place can be poorly represented by bad staff.
Would leave zero stars if possible.
Good selection of beer flights. Call ahead to confirm daily tour and tasting time since it changes from summer to winter.
Great drinks! They could use some more servers though, we weren t checked on too much!
Great place to try some solid beers. Not a ton of room so can fill up quickly. Sat at the bar and had super quick service. Definitely would recommend trying the rotating small batch taps.
Had the FullMap and it was great. Friendly service.
Really great brewery bar; staff are friendly and beer is delicious. Favourites were Cypress Honey Lager, Infamous IPA and Hey Day Hedeweizen. The Raspberry ale is very light, not too sweet- very refreshing. Perfect place for a late afternoon bevvie.
Poutine - Crispy fries & fresh cheese curds. Miso gravy was a well done variation on classic poutine. Great option on a rainy Vancouver day. (4/5)
Great variety of beer, taps are always changing. Its cool to see what kinds of beer are on tap everytime. The staff are nice and knowledgeable on the beers that they have at the moment and can explain the differences to those that have more complicated questions
Nice beer sampler and great service made this a fun visit.
Nice place to spend a rainy afternoon. Some awesome local beers, something for every taste.
Real friendly, great beers, big pours! Get the full map flight, worth every penny!
Awesome beer in one of the best locations in Vancouver. I have always loved Granville island and visit the brewery whenever I get a chance to spend a day there!
Yup, 5 stars from moi! Service was amazing and for a Sunday funday I'm Impressed! Thank you! #granvilleislandbrewery #sundayfunday!!
Despite being taken over by Molson, GIB has a solid repertoire of beers and maintains a "craft beer" feel. The service is good, as you would expect in one of the more tourist-dense areas of the city.
The service is terrible, we didn t come at a peak time & our food took 30 minutes plus. The food was second rate at best, we had to send some back.
Never returning!
My sister and I visited the Granville Island Brewing Company and did the brewery tour. From the moment we stepped through the door the staff made us feel welcome. Brennan was a knowledgeable and charming tour guide who answered all our questions and gave us lots of information. He is an absolute sweetheart. Jackie, the general manager, treated us so well. She is a gem. Would highly recommend a visit to this place and to try the tastings. A definite must visit. 2 thumbs to the staff and the establishment
Great, easy to drink beer. Not too hoppy, but with lots of flavour. Service, however is poor, long wait at the door and inattentive waiters that take forever to show up before and after order.
Excellent brewery. I had a flight of four and the island lager definitely worth a trip again. Service was excellent go check it out
