Great hotel in Dubrovnik with excellent views of the area, large rooms that are well equipped (including L Occitane toiletries), excellent staff and a great breakfast spread.

Disappointing all around. Hotel does not have five star service, employees are rude and often speak extensively in Croatian whole you stand and await patiently for them to acknowledge you. Rooms are tiny and not worth the hefty price tag, a Hilton Garden Inn would ve been nicer. The only good thing about this place is the view. We tried to rent a car through their concierge service and it was over an hour late, costing us almost half our day in wasted time. Skip this for a hotel with five stars that actually acts like they have five stars!

Very good service in general, clean rooms and lovely staff. The breakfast is varied although the products are not of a 5 star hotel quality.

Perfect location 5 mins walk from Ploce Gate/old town. Get a sea view room if possible - beautiful views. Great pool service, plenty of sunbeds even tho it's peak season (August) plus there's cordoned off sea swimming from poolside, beautiful clear sea. Plenty of breakfast options.

Very good hotel With a suitable location and facilities. The only thing I would have to mention is the lack of a coffee maker in the room. If it were not for that, the classification would be excellent

Very ornate decoration. The comfortable and large beds. If you are located in rooms that face the road a lot of noise. Those that face the sea more calm. It's not bad but it has a star.

Pretty good hotel. Location is great right outside the old City with a great beach. Biggest complaint is that the queen bed is two twins that come apart very easily

An excellent accommodation with very friendly staff. Clean, comfortable bed, restraunt good but can be expensive, especially for families. Just 10 minute walk into old town.

Poolside was lovely, breakfast buffet was delicious and includes all breakfast staples, coffee and even champagne and fruit juices. Room was only 'okay' and air conditioning wasn't incredible, but all services were excellent. Would recommend.

Great hotel with amazing view.... Will come back again someday

A very nice hotel with a great relaxed feeling. Lovely views and great position near the old town. We were here at the end of April all the bars at the hotel had opened, but the friendly staff were more than happy to bring drinks wherever we wanted to sit. Room we had was kept very well although some of the decor around the hotel is a little dated.

Clean, amazing views, and free breakfast. The salt water pool (with a ledge where you can dive right into the sea) is a great place to enjoy a drink and soak in the Adriatic.

I was jogging past the Grand Villa hotel this morning and tripped and fell onto the ground. I tripped over one of many steel pipes that protrude about 3cm out of the ground. These obstructions are a public health and safety issue. What was also disturbing was that neither of the two doormen made any effort to help me. When I told one of them about the public health and safety issue he told me to contact the city council. This level of respect for the general public was very unsatisfactory.

We were only in the loby and we were treated very kindly but there were no rooms available and no place to have lunch.

10 min walk to Dubronvik. Great rooms and restaurant. Recommended.

Well located about 10 minutes walk from the old town. Good sunbathing and swimming area with easy access to the sea. Breakfast had plenty of choices but they can drop the stewed broccoli and cauliflower if the want. Room ok but not outstanding, reception fine.

Grand Villa Argentina is one of the oldest hotels in Dubrovnik, and its amazing location makes it a super exclusive place to be. We came here after our stay in Montenegro, where we luckily also stayed outside the old town. Venturing into the lobby makes one immediately facing a stunning view over the sea and island Lokrum.
We have spent a week in Dubrovnik and it was the best decision to book Argentina, so we didn t have to go to the old city, saturated with tourists and cheap entertainment. Hotel itself is nice, certainly it has seen a better days, but all in all it was a decent place to be outside the madness of the city walls. Just 10 minutes walk to the actual town of Dubrovnik! Staff is absolutely fantastic, helping with anything absolutely anything. Very knowledgeable and polite!
Rooms are little outdated, with upholstery from 80s, but spectacular grounds and views make up for every short comings! We have spent most of the time on lovely terraces of the hotel and its stone beach.

A gorgeous location with excellent swimming facilities. But our room was awful. Very small and cramped, difficult to hang clothing due to the size and height of the wardrobe and directly over the entrance so people and street noise were a huge issue. Breakfast was really good with nice service and the ladies who cleaned our rooms were really pleasant and efficient.

The indoor pool was good too but he careful of the excessively wet and slippery floor. Sauna was advertised but not working.

Having a wonderful time in Dubrovnik and the Grand Villa Argentina is the perfect place to stay. The staff are professional, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would like to thank them for making our stay so enjoyable.

The room is dark and old. I do not think that price is enough. It might be a room on the first floor, but I think it's a bit disgusting because I can see the road in front of the hotel as soon as I open the window. . . There are three windows in the bathroom and the top window has no shoji paper and may be visible from the outside, so I feel uneasy when taking a bath.

The hotel is spectacular in an idyllic setting, in which the days pass faster than you would like, totally recommendable

I am currently staying here & man it s the worst experience ever. We moved from hotel President Valamar as this hotel is next to the wall. The hotel lacks everything you could think of. 1. Bed, it s so old that it has taken the shape of a body. I mean if you sleep, your back goes soo down than your other part of the body. 2. Pillow is sooo hard & high that literally you can t keep ur neck so high and sleep. 3. It s sooo small & no place to keep your luggage. 4. Carpets are old & stained. 5. The worst part, the AC isn t working. Can you believe , it can only heat & it was set to a high & we were literally burning inside. We had to open the door and sleep which was very uncomfortable. We are traveling with our 1 year old & she looks very uncomfortable. I am so pissed off and this waking up early in the morning coz of discomfort to write this review, please don t book this hotel and spoil your time.

Hotel to the ocean, there is nice landscape. Feel like part of the castle. There are indoor pool and sauna, exercise room as well.

Beautiful hotel at the entrance to the walled city of Dubrovnik, a luxury and sophistication. You can park in the hotel parking lot, even if you do not leave, it's cheaper than inside the city

Wedding after wedding. Loud music several nights. Would like to have a good nights sleep. That is what hotels are for. Sadly nobody warned us and nobody cared.

What a wonderful stay! Excellent service and property. Nice break from touristy bustle. Be ware that all rooms in Grand villa are different. We booked a superior sea view room and it was very small. There was no way to accomodate us over the first two days of stay but we did get a nice balcony room for the last night after the weekend. The staff did everything posible to help. Deni at the front desk was great and very helpful. Will return!

We only used the hotel for parking to go to the nearby Banje and very beautiful Sveti Jacob Beach!

Parking here costs 20 kunas an hour and you stand in the shade, while in the rest of Dubrovnik you pay 40 outrageous kunas an hour!

AC did not work on first night, though they moved us to suite for second night after some fusing.

The hotel is very nice appointed. The back is landscape with many terraces, little gardens, and Scenic views all the way down see the ocean. Rooms are a bit small but serviceable and clean. Hotel restaurants we're very nice, with spectacular views, of the Adriatic Sea, the Old Town walls, and an island.

The rooms are quite small but well kept. The toiletries are really nice and the turn down service in the evening leaves some nice chocolates which are local products I believe...delicious

The lunch overlooking the pool is really not good at all. The amount of oil that is drenched over everything totally ruins the food. My broccoli, spinach and fish were literally swimming in oil, it totally ruined my meal and left me feeling quite sick. It was a shame as the fish was fresh and shown to us. Quite expensive for a sea bass.

The other thing the room doesnt have tea or coffee making facilities which is very strange for a 5 star hotel.

The staff are friendly. Check in is at 2, dont arrive before you cant get access to the rooms earlier.

Breakfast is nice with attentive helpful staff.

So avoid the lunch chef with his oil obsession and I'd recommend this place.

Thoroughly enjoying our stay here, yes it looks and is more older in fashion/style but that is the feel we wanted when we came here. The staff have all been so lovely and attentive -especially arriving as late as we did, our room is just what we asked for and has a view of the sea. Walking around the front and having the sea splash us, reminded us of the beauty of summer here which means we will be back to experience a summer not just a spring x

Nice hotel; the rooms are however in a very dated style, old England. The spaces available facing the sea compensate for this weakness.

Great, well-kept, time-honored hotel right on the sea. In addition to the very good location, the cleanliness of the rooms and the nice, helpful staff should be positively emphasized.
In contrast, the spa area, including the indoor pool and sauna, needs modernization.
Recommended, albeit expensive.

Excellent up-market hotel. Great views across to Lokrum Island and Old Town. About 10 minutes walk to town. Old and new buildings, bars, restaurants, spa, beach. Staff were uniformly helpful and pleasant. Well recommended for a relaxing stay in Dubrovnik.

The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I did not feel a big advantage for the price. Even if I pay more, I think it is better to get a place closer to the castle.
