Average experience overall, will never recommend people to go here. Wine was just poured into our glasses with very little said about the wines. And a fee of $20 for 4 wines to try out of a possible 26 wines is wrong.
The service was great despite a growing number of customers after us. The new cellar door did not do it for me with all the sleek sheen. I loved the quaint shed it was in before. The wines are increasingly more expensive and are not good value when compared to the region.
Hands down a favourite - excellent wines across the entire range. Upgraded cellar door is lovely.
An unforgettable tasting of every single wine they have!
Have heard positive things about Torbreck's shiraz and viognier, but was grossly disappointed with my recent visit to their new (revamped) cellar door. Cannot vouch for the quality of the wine as I was rushed through tastings by impersonal and disengaged staff. Very poor and unfriendly service in comparison to other cellar doors in the region.
One of the best wineries in the Barossa. We stumbled across Torbreck on our honeymoon, and it has been one of my favourite wineries ever since. Their Shiraz is varieties are spectacular!
Excellent customer service + very knowledgeable staff!
A little torn about how to rate this place, because the tasting was nice and, indeed, some of the wines are fantastic particularly their higher-end ones, which all cost $125+ per bottle, and incur a $30 tasting fee. While it was worth it to taste them, I m not sure the pricetags are warranted, and the experience overall felt a bit stuffy and impersonal (but it could just be that the workers were distracted by the worries of an unprecedented heatwave and shifting winds that have led to precarious bushfire conditions)
We enjoyed the runrig tasting - fabulous selection of wine and got to try some unique ones too. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful wines, but a disappointing experience. Before we d even tasted our first wine we had been hand-balled between three staff members at the cellar door. It was clear they only had interest in selling & promoting the more high end wines on their list. Every time we asked a question they were dismissive and immediately talked about why a $80-100 bottle was better (even when we were complimenting the wine). We bought 4 bottles around the $30-50 mark because we liked the wine, but we probably would have bought more had we enjoyed the wine tasting experience. If management has the cellar door staff on some type of incentive to sell the higher end wines, you should reconsider. It s ruining the experience for the entry level wine buyers. We left the Barossa with >40 wines. Torbrek could ve had a greater share of that business
Fantastic cellar door! Really friendly staff & wine tasting is sublime running through full selection of wines. Very generous. Building is an architectural joy - filled with light. Go there!
Came here on a recommendation from a friend! Had a fantastic tasting experience here with the host! All the wines that we tried were delicious and the atmosphere/surroundings was pleasantly quaint! Fantastic selection and definitely lives up to the renown of Barossa! You will have a fantastic experience with your friends and family!
Nice cellar door and the old vine reds available for tasting are superb. The service was ok, a little impersonal and seemingly disinterested, we were there at 4:45pm so maybe they'd just had a long day. Their wines are excellent but are a bit more expensive compared to Barossa wines of similar quality.
I wanted to love this place. Despite the beautiful setting and positive reviews I was greeted with terrible service. Really spoilt the experience for me.
One of the must-visit wineries in Adelaide. it's recommended!
Wonderful wine including our favourite Shiraz. The tasting was fun and informative - highly recommended.
Casual tasting experience, great wines on offer, all but 1 available to taste.
Lovely wines but the indifferent, borderline rude dismissive staff at the wine tasting room made it a less than memorable experience. What a pity.
Intensely professional set up. Outstanding collection of wines with impeccable pedigree. Treat yourself and pay the premium tasting fee. You will not regret it.
Nice landscaping. Ridiculously high tasting fee ($40 or $25 per person). Refunded if you buy their wine, but if you don t like any - too bad.
Outstanding selection, delivered unpretentiously. Wonderful old vines with interesting blends. Friendly as
The wines are the star of the show. Informative wine tasting in beautiful surrounds
Wonderful location, ambiance and staff. White wines outstanding despite being a red wine producer
"Torbreck Vintners"" Founded in 1994 has grown to be a world class winery. The cellar door offers a large range of top class wines for tasing and purchase. "Great food platters availiable to compliment the wines. The wines include The Runrig, The Factor, The Struie, the Woodcutter's Shiraz, and the Cuvee Juvenites. Torbreck have online stores to enable easy purchase of their fine wines. Store sare Australia, UK and USA. We were lucky enough to stay in the cabin next to the cellar door. We love big, Barossa reds and Torbreck the best in spades. Do not go past here.
