I was sure hoping our second experience at the Gra...

I was sure hoping our second experience at the Grand Summit was like our first but sadly it was not even close. We stayed at the Grand Summit In very early November so the peak season was not in and the hotel was not full, as confirmed by the front desk associate.
I was greeted by the front desk associate with a happy anniversary and I really appreciated it since we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary so ya, it was a big deal to us and we were really looking forward to a fantastic stay. I was looking forward to a great hotel room with a Mountain View (remember the House was not full) but again, I was sadly disappointed as we were stuck in probably the worst room in the House, a first floor room with a beautiful view of the driveway.
Imagine how fun it was to be in your room and have everyone on the outside able to watch your every move...not fun, so we closed the blinds and watched the room get really dark.
We also noticed a few things wrong with the room, missing light bulb in the bed room, burned out light bulb in the bathroom and a broken piece of plastic on the inside door lock so I alerted a housekeeper and she said she would alert maintenance and fix the problem but that never happened. The fire place also didn t work and an access door in the bathroom ceiling (provided access for maintenance to the bathroom drains on the second floor) kept falling open.
We did however like the awesome shower in the bathroom; it had a bench to sit on, two shower heads and a nice sliding glass door. The inside of the shower was big enough for two to shower at the same time but again, this was a disappointment too. Looks again are very deceiving. The shower heads, interestingly enough, could not be adjusted very much so they both sprayed in the middle of the shower so a large shower became really small because you both had to stand in the middle of the shower. And to make matters worse, the angle of the shower sprayed water out of the shower door and totally soaked the floor. That s ok though, we had towels. No wait a minute, no we didn t. We only had two bath towels for the both of us and no extras. Again, big time fail!
However the one thing that made me mad was the hair we found in the shower which we noticed as we were showering. It made me wonder if the shower was cleaned from the prior guests?? GROSS!
As I checked out, I mentioned the problems to the front desk clerk in addition to the hair in the shower and all she said was I m sorry, I hope you give us another chance. We ll lets see, I spent $200.00 for the room and all we got was a sucks for you reply.
Pretty sure we will not return.

Loved the stay everything was wonderful. There was a suprise fee when we got to check in and wasn't happy that our room wasn't ready for two hours after check in. But once in our room it was wonderful

Stayed at the Grand summit for 4 nights..... overall I would have to say it was just OK..... for the amount of $$$ I paid ($2000+) I would have expected more..... on arriving into my room I realized that it was lacking several basic things (the room was supposed to come with a fully equipped kitchen)..... let me state here that in an of themselves the list of items are not a big deal if it was just one or two things..... but the list is long..... TV not working, no shower curtain in the shower, no bulbs in the bed side lights, one of the lamps was in operable, no clothes hangers, no frying pan, no bath robes as promised.... and the crowning jewels was that the room I reserved and pre paid for was supposed to have two queen beds.... not a kind and a pull out coach...to their credit the staff did try and address most of the issues, but I shouldn't have had to ask in the first place.... no offer of compensation or gesture of good will was offered.... the location tontje slopes was great, the shuttle to park city was convenient, even if one day they did not show up and did not let you know.... the hot tub, sauna and steam room were also very enjoyable..... but overall I was a little disappointed despite the friendly accommodating staff....

We stay on the second floor. The garage is well located. When we got to the room we realized that the television is terrible .. It does not have HD, nor is it very big. They offer a DVD but don't have videos for rent, which would be cool and convenient. The room itself is comfortable and beautiful. We ordered breakfast and found it very expensive for what they offered.

I can t believe the reviews for the hotel are real - the only and truly amazing thing about this hotel is its location. It really is! Otherwise, bring your own food if you are a foodie, don t bother with the concierge and bring your own slippers if you re going to use the spa. The hotel won t spend 10 cents to provide these for you.

We had a site inspection for a conference we will hold there this September. Very worthwhile and Jennifer and kristi were very helpful. The Grand Summit and the Red Pine Lodge are great properties.

Excellent location! We stayed at a 3-bedroom loft with a group of 11 people. Our group had different levels of skiers and the proximity of the room to the sky area was very comforting. The staff is very friendly. Sky in and out access was also very good.
It is also very close to the airport (40 min). And if we need to go to Park City Mountain Village, Uber s driver was easy to get.

We got the king "suite" which was smaller than what we expected. Online it showed open doors to a connecting room, which now we realize isn't part of ours . Good design, nice shower, nice view, beautiful building and location.
We couldn't get the TV to work, and I wasn't ready to call for help at midnight in my undies. Neither the fireplace (maybe they shut them off for the summer although we came in Sept), which would have been nice.
I know I'm tacky, but a microwave and a fridge would have been soooooo nice; I paid $130 for dinner next door and I would like to eat my leftovers please!
Also mentioning that if the Chateux in Deer Valley can give me a delicious breakfast included, why can't grand summit?
They took my card for incidental, but actually it was to pay their resort fee. I wanted to use my other card for that, but she didn't tell me that's what she was going to do.
Last but not least: we came here to get a little privacy, but as soon as we arrived we started hearing noises which sounded like someone was coming in our room. We then realized that the connecting door doesn't block much sound and you could here even keys jiggling in the other room. Ugh.

Staying at this hotel is not what I would expect. Beautiful outside and inside and that is where it ends. I am staying here for a conference and it is 90 degrees outside and my room has no AC. Spoke with the front desk 8 times and 5 times in person from 7:30 am -9:30pm, nothing they could do today. I asked for a fan or something. Nothing was provided and not even a sorry. Wow I am truly disappointed. I usually don t write reviews but this experience is so bad.

We stayed here for one night for our anniversary and I wish it was longer! The staff was so kind, helpful, and thoughtful! With the brief knowledge of our celebration they surprised us with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The beds were lovely, the pool was large and very clean and we will definitely be back!

My family and I stayed here on Saturday night. To ...

My family and I stayed here on Saturday night. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We showed up to the front desk to check-in, disheveled and frazzled carrying all our bags and two young children (11 mo. old, and a 4 yr old). We asked the lady checking us in if there was a room upgrade available (we were willing to pay the difference). If available, we wanted a suite or room that had two rooms instead of one room with two queen beds. That way we could put our baby down to sleep in one room and the rest of us could sleep in the other room and possibly hang out while our baby slept. Her initial reaction was that of complete apathy. She clearly had no desire or intention of making any accommodations or trying to make us happy. So she then fetched her manager (I'm guessing--his name is Scott). He reaction was even worse. When we requested a room upgrade and told him we'd be happy to pay the difference he looked at us like we were asking for his right arm. Everyone could clearly tell that we were exhausted and frazzled trying to manage our two kids with all of our bags while requesting a room upgrade (one woman waiting behind us in line even said "I've been there before"). Everyone except for the hotel employees apparently. He first asked condescendingly, "You guys booked this room right?" Clearly we're idiots for booking this room and realizing we needed an upgrade while checking in. After looking at the computer for about 3 seconds he said "If you want a room upgrade you will have to book it through Southwest (since that is where we booked our original room). The only way you can upgrade your room is to call Southwest and do it with them." So two capable employees looking at the rooms available on the computer cannot simply see what vacancies there are and throw us a bone? We told him we'd pay for the upgrade so it made zero sense that he was so unwilling to help us and told us our only option was to call Southwest. With a crying baby and a rambunctious 4 year old and people waiting behind us we said forget it, we'll just take what we have. We weren't about to try and get on the phone with Southwest for 20 minutes while our two children made chaos in the lobby. Even if that was the case that we HAD to book through southwest, which I don't believe for a second, they could have at least had an iota of empathy or pretended to care about making accommodations. But instead, we received a condescending tone and complete apathy. So because he was so unwilling to help us out, we had to pack up and leave our hotel room in the middle of the night because our baby won't sleep in a pack in play if she sees us in the room with her. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

Had to request complimentary robes that were supposed to be in rooms. Asked for replacement humidifier, told they were all broken. One of the worst meals of my life at one of the resorts restaurants. Generally friendly helpful staff.

We initialy booked a room at the sundail but they double booked and put us at the grand summitt, it seems nice was okay but they put us on the 5th floor without a balcony no discount and it was kind of inconvient we missed a lot of the concert that was playing that night we saw about the last 20 mins. even though we could have seen them for at least an hour and a half. the shuffling of ys around, checking in, our room the farthest away from the venue upset me s lot, its a good thing we bought something to cook in the room because everything closed super early... though the room was ok if it wasnt for all the other issues. not as nice as sundail in my opinion.

Front desk not friendly. You'd think as the "face" of the resort that they would have to be the most interactive and connected, no not in this case. The room: blinds were broken (lower half ripped off, you'd think housekeeping would had had it fixed before giving the ok), had to call maintenance to get it fixed. No refrigerator! really?! The "friendly" front desk said that they only have a few to be used on emergency. If there's an emergency, we probably should not be there skiing. The trash and mess from maintenance replacing the blinds were left behind, even housekeeping the following day didn't clean up. The only bright spot were the valets, friendly with sense of urgency. I would give them five stars.

It's a cute hotel. The gondola is right behind the hotel, so you can take the lift in and out. The Red Tail Grill inside the hotel has friendly staff and good food. Perfect for mountain lovers, hiking fanatics, and of course skiing in winter.

The hotel and surround resort is beautiful. It has a very cozy and warm feel to it is very welcoming. The rooms are modern, but keep consistent with a mountain like vibe. The rooms have huge TV's, big bathrooms, and quality furniture. The beds for me are too soft, but the pillows are perfect. Overall, it's been a great experience with an extremely helpful staff and nice accommodations.

This rating has everything to do with the room and not the staff or decor. First off, we could hear everything. I am a pretty deep sleeper once I get there, but I could hear our neighbor guests pretty easily. They were not talking loud at all, but the sound was traveling straight to our room. Second, the doors do not have air strips so the light from the hall come right into the room. This makes sleeping in the dark very difficult. The staff and cleanliness we really good. Room amenities were wonderful.

Beds were not very comfortable. Housekeeping came only once during my 3 day stay. Rooms were dingy and outdated. Redeeming qualities were the hotels location and proximity to Main Street (~10 min uber).

Honestly probably the WORST bed my wife and I have ever slept on. The first night I attributed the sore back to maybe just sleeping wrong. But when we woke on the day we were going home and I couldn't even stand up, I knew it was the mattress! HORRIBLE! We had a King Deluxe room, not sure what is deluxe about it? No fridge, no table, and the pictures are deceiving. For the price we paid I can guarantee I will not stay here again. Thankfully the staff was nice on check in, had no interaction the rest of the trip. But they need to be better. I know we stayed during 'mud season' but that was bad. NEVER AGAIN! At least the view was nice.

Has gone downhill! This place is not as well maintained as it used to be. They didn't keep their pool clean, I think a kid had gone number 2 in the pool and it literally took them 6 hours to clean it. The last time we stayed there the water that came out into the tub wad light brown.

My wife and I got here a few hours ago and We love this place. They must have replaced the whole staff since previous post because they have all been upbeat and informative including Jason the bellman, Lucy at the front desk, the waitress, the guy in the store, and the receptionist at the spa. Can't wait to walk out the door tomorrow and hit the slopes!

This was a great place to get away for the weekend. Check in was pretty quick and easy. Self parking is underground and simple. There is valet service available, but we did not use them. Room was nice with a king size bed, large double person shower, TV and balcony. We were not told that exiting out the back of the hotel and toward the south, there are a few shops and restaurants. We found these the next day day after check in. Some of the staff wasn't very courteous, seemed more bothered that you asked them questions. This place is about a 10 minute drive to Park City Historic Main Street. Overall was a good weekend.

The water pipe failure, while clearly out of your control, was not exactly dealt with adeptly by staff. They did not warn of nonfunctional brown water showers that everyone in the hotel was experiencing and at first ask they could not even guarantee access to other pools in the complex.

With such a catastrophic situation there should have been all sorts of automatic remedies in place along the lines of free breakfast, room discounts, and until capacity had been reached, offers to relocate. None of this occurred which might have a near term positive effect on cash flow but a massive reprisal as people review on social media.

We have stayed here a lot and we love the staff and service. However, I'm not sure what has happened everytime we have arrived. The first couple of times the kitchen in our suite was filthy. The floor hadn't been swept or mopped and the kitchen counter still had crumbs along with something sticky that had spilled all over and dried. The refrigerator still had food in it and things spilled in it from the guests before. When we got a standard room, the coffee pot was dirty with a puddle of coffee at the bottom and the coffee cups still had coffee rings around it. It looked like it had only been rinsed out because I had swiped my finger over it and it had easily wiped off. The glass bottles of water also had something floating in it. Other than the contstant cleanliness issue, we love staying there.

Their breakfast was very delicious and provided enough energy for a skiing day. Overall they provided good service but housekeeping service arrived too early that sometimes made getting in and out of the room a little bit difficult.
