Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Review

The Oyster Bar....great food, great service, perfect view of the Gulf of Mexico.....the seafood is to die for and really fresh....the drinks are soothing as you sip them watching the water....go enjoy and don't let the tablecloths dissuade you....your shorts are just fine!

Nice and clean but I would have liked to have a SPA in the hotel.

The staff were very nice and helpful, and we had no issue when asking for more clean towels. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. They also have a nice path to walk on in the back of the hotel which lead to gazebos and a relaxing ocean view.

Nice hotel on the Bay and near downtown. They have a good gym and a nice pool.

I really liked the Casita. They were away from the main hotel and were more private. Very nice room. Although utvwas raining and there were some leaks and the floor was quite slippery. I live in Las Vegas and wasn't accustomed to the humidity and the shed a felt wet. I actually asked my husband did he think there was a leak. Other than that..very comfortable room..easy to access the parking lot and woukd be great for dogs.

A top-notch Grand Hyatt property, with sleek updated and modern rooms, and spacious pool area, and a huge and open-concept oriented lobby for lounging. It's about 5-10 minutes to/from the airport, but fare warning, getting Uber service from here can take a little time, so count on a pre-arranged car service or a cab when departing the property.

Room was very clean. Front desk was very accommodating and placed us in a room with a beautiful view of the water! Would have loved to stay longer.

We went to Armani's Restaurant in the hotel . Beautiful place . Receptionists were amazing . Waiters Qasim and Timmy were professionals and amazing . Knowledgeable , smiling , happy . It was a great time spent in Armani's .

I haven't been back since 2009-2010 but I still remember the breakfast, the pool and the internet service. Good times.

Really a top rate experience. Staff was professional and kind. Facility flawlessly clean and well operated. Great food throughout. Convenient and quick valet. Beautiful pool areas. Will return again.

Horrible place to live. Highly over rated. Very basic rooms. No extra facilities. You pay for everything. It was too hot in our room even at night. A tiny vent that is not sufficient for the entire room. Will not stay here again.

This is such a pretty hotel and in such a nice location on the bay. Their rooms are so very nice and they have great restaurants here. The staff is so very helpful and nice and helps to make this a great getaway . The views of the bay is so nice also. If you want a spot near Tampa and the airport this is a great choice

Attended a work conference. Cool facility and friendly staff. I appears there is not alot to do at the hotel besides work related stuff. No real beach but just tennis and a pool. Not a knock on the place just an observation.

Only parking is in a parking garage. And I can't drive into a parking garage.

Nice place, good meeting and eating facilities. Location means you will can everywhere, but it's nice.

What made this experience so great was the front desk crew of Jesse and Susie. I had reserved this hotel for my wife's and I ten year anniversary. The plan was to go to Bern's Steakhouse however they were sold out. I was sharing the story with Jesse at the front desk and through his connections, saved the night and got us in WOW! Then at check in, Susie made sure we had the best anniversary we could have by checking us into a water front corner unit suite. She also made sure there was wine and a charcuterie board waiting for us in the room. I am beyond impressed. Not all heros wear capes. The crew here turned this evening into the most memorable anniversary yet. Can't thank you enough.

Ugh stay away I just checked in and already regretting it. Asked for a nice view wanted me to pay more money. Room furniture has stains and they have renovations ongoing which wasnt disclosed on website. Furniture is also outdated bathroom okay but bed hard as a rock. I should of stayed at another place but since had a high review score I thought it would be nice. I would stay away from this place for a getaway high score on reviews must be from pilots and flight attendants that stay here on company dime and just want a place to crash.

Food was not as good as I expected for Hyatt. We sat outside at the restaurant. It has a very nice deck, but the view of the bay is partially obscured by the wall of trees.

Excellent the stay, the attention and the gastronomy. Excellent gym, expanded and very complete. Impeccable rooms and the housekeeping of name Andrea in charge of my room was very helpful very pending that nothing was missing in the room. I recommend it 100%

Great hotel! Very quiet, friendly staff and very welcoming. We were performing night installation work so the top notch blackout curtains really helped with day sleeping!

I've stayed here once for business. I've been fortunate to stay at other hotels in the area - The Marriot Renaissance and Four points Sheraton. The Grand Hyatt is not far from the airport, but also not close to anything so you're stuck for choice on food adn entertainment.

That said everything you need is available from the hotel including a little gift shop that carries everything from headache tabs, memorabilia, and clothing, to drinks, ice creams etc. The restaurant/bar is excellent in terms of food quality and the staff are helpful and sincere. /i really enjoyed it.

The pool area is quiet and the bar there is also very accomodating and stocks most common drinks.

The rooms (I've stayed in 3 different rooms) are all comfortable and very modern. The internet is fast and free for business users.

The only hotel that I've stayed at that currently matches the Hyatt is the Marriot Renaissance by International Plaza. It has the benefit of being right on the doorstep of a food village, and great shopping centre. But it is all expensive!

Hyatt is a really convenient and good hotel that I would stay at again in a heartbeat. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

The hotel, restaurants and conference areas are all clean, well kept and staffed plentifully. The room was comfortable, beds were nice, my room had a good view. Unfortunately it was cold and raining each day we were there so I wasnt able to visit outside areas.

This hotel has a great location, nice rooms and amenities, and a very helpful and friendly staff.

Outstanding service, excellent room, very comfortable. This is a swanky hotel, complete with shuttles and 24/7 valet. They also boast 24/7 room service. There are 2 restaurants/lounges and one limited access private floor.

The views of the bar are spectacular, the pool is small but well maintained, and access to and from the freeway is nearly immediate. Complimentary bottled water in the room.

Best stay I have ever had. All of the stsff are polite, knowledgeable, helpful and kind. It is not ony beautiful but so professional. Food to die for.

Booked a room for two friends on their honeymoon using points. Points were for a standard room, but the hotel staff was able to upgrade the room to a bay view room and even threw in some complimentary champagne! 5/5 Great staff and great service!

Had a horrible experience here with billing and the front desk. They just are a disaster. They never billed me, then hassled me and hounded me, then billed me twice. Now won t return calls. An organizational nightmare.

I was hoping to have a enjoyable relaxing overnight stay to celebrate my husbands birthday. Based on their website I presumed we could get traditional room service. There was NO indication on the website this was not the case due to COVID19. If I wanted take out I would save a lot of money & stayed home. I'm writing this review so other travels know that there is no traditional room service and there are very limited food choices. There are NO healthy food options & the food prices are very high. If your hoping for a high end experience that you would expect from a Grand Hyatt think again. Save your money & stay somewhere else this fall. It would be very easy for the Hyatt to be more forth right about their services/amenities/food options on their website but they are not. There customer service is below average as well. On a side note, the room itself was not to Grand Hyatt standards either. Peeling wallpaper in the bathroom & it took 5 minutes for hot water to come out of the faucet.

The staff was very courteous and attentive. The rooms are clean and spacious. There was a big wedding on the property and it was a bit noisy. I was offered a room higher up. I should have taken it. The day I was checking out housekeeping came into my room when I was coming out of the shower and startled me. I mentioned my experience to the front desk and they were so apologetic and set me up with a delicious breakfast. I would definitely stay there again, the grounds are beautiful.

Top notch service in a luxurious setting. Really wish that the top floor restaurant was open for breakfast everyday - great morning views.

Excellent service as soon as I arrived all the way to check out! The front desk staff (thank you Jenna) was wonderful, friendly and professional. I came with my wife for our anniversary and left with the intensions of not wanting to leave! If you are looking for quality hotel service and all-around great resort/hotel amenities, Grand Hyatt Tampa is definitely the place to stay! I will definitely come back. The room was beautiful, the restaurants on site were also beautiful, the pool locations were amazing, the gazebo, nature trail and private oasis-like beach was very appealing to the eyes and we enjoyed every minute of it! The views are awesome and the drinks (thanks to Andrew) were delicious! Definitely a hidden gem in my eyes.

Attended a meeting on the 14th floor. Gorgeous views of the city and water, amazing hors d'oeuvres and excellent service. Beautiful hotel. Very impressed!

I actually really liked the hotel. It was great venue for a conference, but if you are staying some place for a vacation I don't think it is the correct place. The city of Tampa and the beach are nowhere close. However, if you had a rental car, it would probably be an ideal place.

It is a beautiful hotel with excellent service. I didn't get a chance to explore the area, but they are supposed to have nice nature trails by the hotel.
