A very nice hotel, excellent food, also with some vegetarian and vegan options

I had the best experience at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay! The hotel is so classy, extremely spacious and very chic ! The suite was unbelievable! Marble on the floor, the bed sheets were irreproachable, extremely clean and pleasant atmosphere. And the view is to die for...Unlike other hotels of this rank, there is a huge free parking garage which give you the opportunity to save some money. Evidently you still have the valet option, but you don t have to pay for parking.
I stayed there for my graduation weekend and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I just got to the hotel today I was able to check in early that was a good Plus and the rooms is very clean and the staff seems to be very polite. Had dinner at one of their restaurants it was a seafood restaurant had some shrimp and grits was delicious more to come...

Nicely appointed room, clean, very friendly welcoming staff. Quiet, even though it's next to the airport.

I would have given them 5-stars, but I found that their processes and procedures are inconsistent. I changed a reservation. I was unable to find a confirmation #. I had already been staying in the hotel for 3 days. I simply extended a day. They somehow made a mistake and extended it 2 days. I called the front desk to rectify the issue, and despite them being able to help me the day prior without my confirmation #, the following day the gentleman at the front desk would not assist me via phone without it. I explained that the woman prior accepted my name and room # to extend the reservation. I didn t have any issues at all. However, the very next day the guy told me he couldn t assist me. He told me he absolutely could not assist me without a confirmation #. I offered my name, card #, and room #. I had to say, So even if I physically walk in, without a confirmation # you can t check? He then corrected himself and said I would have to physically change it at the hotel. Not a massive deal, but my issue is the inconsistency and I shouldn t have had to provide the alternative solution for ID verification (I.e. hey should I come in physically?). He should have relayed the information on his own. He basically made it seem like he couldn t offer me any assistance at all without a confirmation #. I asked to speak to a manager. He told me there wasn t a manager present. I called the corporate office and they were able to look up the reservation even without a confirmation #. They simply asked for my name. They even told me that the hotel front desk is able to look me up by name. So, again, the rooms are nice, but that sole customer service issue is the reason I won t go back. I didn t appreciate the man s tone or his unwillingness to provide a more flexible solution.

Beautiful room! We had an amazing view of the bay. It was my first time visiting Tampa and I know if we come.back we want to stay here again. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved the pool with the outdoor bar.

Beautiful Hotel next to the airport. Only heard planes in the morning. Great outdoors for bikers and runners.

After reading reviews and checking into hotel all my expectations were met. Friendly, clean luxurious feel. Really happy here.

We absolutely love this resort! It is awesome for a weekend in the city if you can get it priced well. It is so secluded yet so close to everything in the city! We love the walking boardwalk areas as well as the classy, overall ambiance of the resort!

My primary hotel option when traveling to Tampa for business. The hotel is very close to the airport and office. There are two good restaurants on the property as well as a standard hotel bar/room delivery option.

Rooms are standard for a Grand Hyatt. The Grand Club is fine with excellent views of Tampa Bay!

Self parking is free. Shuttle for airport runs is great as well.

On premise gift/snack shop is really over priced. It seems like they charge 100% markup on local retail prices making it necessary for me to make a stop off property for needed items.

We stayed here for the weekend. We arrived early, and the staff was very helpful to get us a room right away. The staff was friendly up beat and easy to talk to. We had made reservations for a Bayside room, and we got one with the most beautiful view of the Causeway and Clearwater.
The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nicely renovated, the room clean. We ordered breakfast in our room, it came on time was hot and very tasty. It was also a big portion.
Wifi was free, so were the water bottles in the room. Valet parking was $12.00.
I would stay here again, and I would also recommend it.

Hotel is very nice. Nice view. Outside of appearance, it has very poor service. First day we arrived. Everything seemed fine. Room was clean and comfortable. We arrived late so not much to report during the day. At night i had to make a late run to Walmart to get some bathroom supplies. When I went down to the lobby, could not find anyone around valet. Took maybe 10mins to get someone to help get my suv. When i returned, again, no one at valet. Sat in suv for maybe 10 mins and decided to go inside to the lobby where 2 employees were sitting in the back office. I had to tell them no one outside to take my key and valet car. They took key and valet car. The next day Had a wedding today at 11am. We left the room around 10 am to head to wedding. We keep the room always well kept up. On our way back to hotel we ordered some pizzas to eat in the room. When we arrived upstairs for my kids to eat and take a nap the room was not done. It s was after 4pm. I called downstairs and asked Kayla when does housekeeping clean rooms. She said they do it till it s all done. I said ok but no one is even on our floor cleaning rooms. How is that even true. She said she would call them to come. I have 2 kids that needed naps and showers. No towels to shower. Waited 15 mins and no one was there yet. Went downstairs to lobby desk and Kayla said the same thing. When they get to it it gets done. Then Jesse said the same thing. That s a bold face lie. They were better to tell us that the lady slipped our room by accident or they just didn t do it. Their only excuse is that the keep doing it till it s done but no one was even working the floor and it s after 430 pm. Had to take kids or lobby to wait for them to clean room. Pizza guy arrives and now we can t eat pizza in our room cause it s being cleaned. So they wanted us to wait and eat cold pizza since our room was not done. UNACCEPTABLE!!! All the kids were hungry and management did not care. We started to eat pizza on a table in the lobby. Another manager came and told us we couldn t eat there. I asked him, what is the procedure for house keeping to clean rooms. He kept answering a different question. I had to repeat myself 3 times till he finally answered my question. He said house
Keeping should have rooms done give or take by lunch time. It s 5pm. He says he would look into it and to standby. He never came back to give us a clear answer. We are still here till Monday and still no answer from him or anyone else. I will update review on Monday when we check out. This place only Looks nice but service is horrible and I will not be coming back here or any other Hyatt property again. THEY DONT CARE!

This used to be one of my favorite properties in Tampa Bay. Unfortunately, that's not the case any longer. I recently met a friend for a drink at 1823 Kitchen & Bar in the lobby. Their bartender charged me for something I didn't order. Fortunately, their manager corrected the issue. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, the bartender kept insisting I ordered it. I know what I ordered and it's never a good idea to argue with a customer. This is the last time I visit the Grand Hyatt. If someone visiting Tampa Bay asks where they should stay...I definitely will NOT be recommending the Grand Hyatt.

GTE Financial held its Christmas Party for the 2nd year in a row. It was awesome!

Beautiful hotel, with wonderful walks and wildlife, you might even see a crocodile in the lake. Super views of the bays from rooms on that side of the building, nice pool, and close to the airport

I chose this hotel beyond its reputation, there are "per friendly". They charge a per fee of 100 dollars and thats normal. But for our surprise there is no designated area for dogs, you can't stay in any place of the hotel exept the room. There are signals everywere saying that is prohibited for dogs ..... Restaurants (inside and outside) pool area, backyard, etc, etc. At the end, I paid to have my doog in the room .... not to enjoy the vacation with him in the hotel. Was a really bad experience. There are NOT PET FRIENDLY!

I chose the hotel with my husband as well as for the style, for accepting dogs paying a tax of 100 dollars. We have a small chihuahua. But to our surprise, in no area of the hotel they allow you to be with the dog, it can only be in the room. We had asked for breakfast to be included, but when we arrived the first thing the receptionist told us was that we had to keep the dog quiet, that if someone complained they could take us out. That simple How could we go to breakfast leaving our dog alone in a totally new place for him ??? So we lost the money we paid to have breakfast included.
We have gone on other occasions to other hotels that allow pets and have places where you can sit down to eat and have your pet next to you, places where they can just pee. There is none of this here.
Great Hyatt, don't say they are "pet frendly" to charge us $ 100 and just be able to be with my dog in the room.

Good food at Oystercatchers and good service, but very loud in the dining room.

Very clean hotel, located only 7 mins from the Tampa airport. Easy access to all major highways. Courtesy staff, nice rooms with a view. High comfortable beds, multiple excellent restaurants on site. Definitely would stay here again.

Great location, staff is professional and, nice, clean

My parents booked a suite for their trip and loved it. Room was very spacious, clean and felt relaxing. The hotel grounds are well kept and there are lots of activities on site. You can play tennis, basketball, kayak, paddle boat, swim, hot tub, or just lay in a kayak by the water. Beautiful place.

I stayed 10 days recently at this hotel and wiev is great but their cusine is very bad , they dont have a proper menu nothing actually plus on top that expensive .....They sell the rooms expensively as well but breakfast is not included....The worst thing is and happened to us was that the guy working there as vale and door man not polite and helpfull if you do not tip them each time you steped out of a car ...Last we were offered a lift to the mall this guy was helpful and was trying to help but this guy name is ALAN short guy with salt and pepper beard he stoped the from helping us cause we didnt give him a tip....we didnt cause he didnt earn it deserve it....we complained the situation to the manager and we hope she will sort him out ..... they act like a gang and basicly NO TIPS NO SERVICE kind a group of guys working at the door of Grand Hyatt............Not pleased at all.......there is no proper room cleaning as well ....very very bad service .

Came for work conference. View was nice and so was staff. A little overpriced IMO but would go back. And definitely hit up oystercatchers!

Ate breakfast in the lobby restaurant. This was our second breakfast in the past month. Food was good, but service is not that great considering that the restaurant isn't that busy. Coffee and water glasses should be refilled more frequently and service should continue as long as guests are still seated at their table, not up until you deliver the bill.

Great place to getaway and relax!!!! Even though it was a work related trip/stay, I can see myself booking with Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay in the future!!! Such a beautiful view of Tampa Bay too!!!

The hotel is the definition of luxury. We had a great time just walking around and exploring the property. There is a boardwalk area that goes through a nature preserve that is fun. Both polls are great. Room service was quick, friendly, and delicious. Room was spacious and clean. What a fun time it is to be at this hotel!

We have been here for 4 days. Allen greets you at the door and brought our luggage to the room and even looked into pet sitters for us. Riley checked us in at front desk and was wondeful with answering questions and making sure are room was just as we expected. Jordan at the hotel bar is great to talk with and spot on with his service. The hotel is hosting a football team and has been spot on with our service even thou they have this huge team here. We still have 2 nights and 3 days left.

Clean, modern rooms with great customer service. Convenient location with short drive to Clearwater beach, and next to airport as well.

Not bad, only issues are minor cosmetic maintenance that wouldn't expect to see at a hotel of this level otherwise would have given 5 stars.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Nicely appointed with great amenities like wifi and toiletries. Comfy bed and bar/restaurant is nice and classy. The staff is really nice and awesome pool areas with a stunning view of the bay from some rooms with no extra charge. Would definitely stay here again.

Even though we had a ruff start it turned out to be the best pleace in tampa for me. I most definitely will come again. Everything was Delicious I Came from Cincinnati ohio

Excellent location...staff is friendly service is good...lots of stuff to do within the hotel...if you like sports...the Jacuzzi helped too...definetly recommended for a family stay as well as for small groups

We made a last minute reservation for a night, looking for a more resort-like hotel in the Tampa Area, and were thrilled with the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. We had one of the Casitas, about a 10 minute walk from the main hotel.

This is a late review but better late than never :). I stayed here on December 22nd. The manager (Tim) was amazing. Literally amazing. He went well out of his way to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. There was an incident where the person who dropped us off (not affiliated with the hotel) was rude to the hotel staff. I felt horrible/embarrassed and tried to apologize to Tim. He immediately told me it was not my fault and to not apologize. He made sure we were taken care of and made us feel like we were VIP guests when we were only staying one night. Even the next day he sent someone up to get our bags for us. I truly have not had such an amazing encounter with a hotel manager. He is one of a kind! Furthermore ALL the staff we encountered were amazing and helpful. I was offered bottled water upon check-in because they said the wait was a little longer due to a computer issue. However, I only waited about 5 minutes. I later received a phone call in the room apologizing again about the wait and offering me a credit at the restaurant for the next morning to make up for it! Oh and did I mention the staff gave my sons a gift wrapped DVD from under the hotel's Christmas tree? I was also upgraded to a harbor view room which was breathtaking watching the sunset over the water. The room was clean and super comfy. There was a wedding but I only knew that from seeing people dressed up and the sign but never heard any noise/music. The food in the contemporary restaurant was delicious as was the breakfast the next morning. I definitely recommend and again say thank you for being so understanding and kind. It meant a LOT!

I had a wonderful stay there. Staffs are very friendly and professional. Nice view of the bay. Very close to the highway, but not noisy at all. Ample parking.

The staff of the entire hotel and grounds were very helpful and pleasant. Wish i could afford to stay there for at least one night.

An interesting place and its architecture and grounds upkeep as well as the nature trails to bring one into understanding of all aspects of living beings and creation. A various blend of essence and spirituality given one a matter of thought and offering opportunity to show one's nature as to showing through demonstration on what spiritual Direction and thought of mind that they display and their everyday lives

It was good under the circumstances the lady kept coming up to us telling us we couldn't stand there even though we were drinking or drinks but still other than that it was nice clean and we were there for the Tampa Pros

Beautiful hotel. I really enjoyed the nature. Staff was nice and accommodating. The rooms are nice but not too big. I felt the food inside the hotel is over priced for what you get and it's nothing memorable. There is a seafood restaurant we did not try.

Terrific views of the bay. Rooms are large and clean and professional. Love the large walking in shower. There are 3 Great restaurants attached to the hotel. Great lobby bar with 6 craft beers on tap. Pool and hot tub with bar next to pool. Gazebo has a great view of the bay.

I stayed here for a roundtable discussion (a small conference). My room was nicely laid out and well-stocked. However, I found the bed to be too hard and the pillows too soft for my liking. All of the staff I met were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed walking around the grounds and along the boardwalk to OysterCatchers and to the little lookout pavilion - very serene.

Service during our conference was impeccable. They provided a nice array of foods for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Since we were a small group, we had a smaller conference room on the second floor, with windows overlooking the first floor. A larger conference was having their meals and breaks downstairs and we got some noise in our room whenever they were down there, but it wasn't hard to mentally block it out. If I were invited to another conference at this hotel, I'd be happy to attend.

I can t say enough good things about this property. I have stayed here dozens of times over the years and each time is just as good.

Be sure to try the Sunday brunch at Oystercatchers! We were there for my wife s birthday last year and it surely didn t disappoint!

Amazing view, has two pools and a nice place to walk towards the sea surrounded by the bushes. They also have ping pong by the pool. Deducting two stars for small bathrooms, can't lock them and mostly there was no ventilation or exhaust in the bathroom which was kind of a bad surprise judging by the level of this establishment.

The Grand Hyatt of Tampa Bay is very nice. It is in a great location. The rooms are very nice and very clean. It is a perfect location.

Stayed in room 302 which is a corner room. Beautiful views, beautiful lobby. The staff is friendly and kind. The valet guys were diligent when I called to get my car, it was always waiting for me downstairs.

My fiance and I came here for her birthday for the weekend. We stayed in one of the Casitas. had a fantastic time, everything was PERFECT! we dined at Armani's and enjoyed the rooftop lunge and a glass of wine after dinner. everything was great! we try to get back here a few times a year when we can.

You can't beat the drinks and the view from Armani's.

Room had a nice view but things were a little dingy for the asking price of $160 per night.

Enjoying the ! The villas are fun and walking distance to oystercatcher. This restaurant is a must when in Tampa. The chargers are perfect at 27 mph charge.

Nice in the outside. Friendly hotel people. Food in restaurant.. not so good. Get in the car and drive to get some food. Rooms were spacious. Beds ...well hotel beds. Cleanliness of the room.....needs some help. Shower curtain had stains. Desk top had sticky stuff in it. Ice bucket dusty.
Day 2.....cleaning lady came in ....desk top still sticky.....maybe they are not required to wipe the tops down

Great venue that's fairly easy to get to. Tesla chargers there as well, but they aren't functional right now. Friendly staff.

Had dinner at armanis. Lovely top floor setting overlooking the bay. Great take on Italian food. Their antipasti bar is incredible.

I wish we had had more time at this place. The apartment was lovely, the staff very friendly and helpful and the view beautiful. We rented kayaks and paddled along the coast. It was a great stay, and I can really recommend it.

Beautiful, clean and spacious rooms and amenities. Great staff. First time in many hotels I truly felt the room attendants (cleaners) were well trained, skilled and managed in their profession compared to other hotels - I m a bit of a hygiene freak, so well done!

Pay that extra few $$ for the bay view, it s worth it. You cannot fault this hotel. I ll be back soon.

We loved the grounds of the cassitas area. Amenities were stunning and we especially liked the 24 hour fitness center with sauna, 2 pools, hammocks and tennis courts.
Unfortunately despite all the nice facilities we have to rate 4 stars because our whole stay was spoiled with neighbors next door heavily smoking all night. I was awakened by nasty horrible second hand smoke that I wanted to escape at least on our Tampa trip because I have enough of this in New York. I specifically made sure that units are non smoking prior booking. My expectations were not fulfilled and inconvenience was not even addressed or compensated . At the moment when I woke up and had horrible allergic reaction to smoke in the room I called the room services right away, reported the issue but did not hear back from hotel till now. I don't think any of Grand Hyatt guests deserve this type of nightmare from the 4 stars hotel. Unbelievably insane.

We just ate at the restaurant. The food was meh, and I'm pretty sure my boyfriend got a bit of food poisoning from the tomato soup.
