Great stay, good location, nothing special to write home about but I certainly enjoyed myself. The lounge downstairs is a great place to grab a bite and there are a couple of malls within a few miles. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area

We stopped into the bar before our Holiday party at oystercatchers. The hotel is tucked away off 60 on the water. The bar area was very open and bright. Being upscale, the bar prices are a bit high. There is a very nice board walk that is a cool walk through mangroves with opportunities to view wildlife.

Stunningly beautiful views from this hotel.l! They heard it was my birthday and sent up a cheese and wine plate. I cannot recommend this place more! Bed was so comfy. We had a wonderful stay!

Nice!

Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay is a great venue for pleasure or buisness function with a great onsite Restaurant/Bar and also a Sea Food Restaurant Oystercatchers, within walking distance on the beach. They offer an elevated nature walk/walking path through the Mangroves that terminates at a Pavilion with a scenic view of the bay. Our room was imaculate and the customer service was top notch. The service in the convention center was on point for all meals. The meeting rooms were also well prepared.

I loved it. First time there, couldn't be any happier with the location, the cleanliness, the ambiance and especially the staff. The Oystercatcher bar/restaurant was very good. Not great, but very good. I will definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt whenever I'm in Tampa.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Beautiful resort and view. Service was great. For the price, I do not think theres a better hotel & resort out there. I definitely will be back if i come to tampa again.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for our destination wedding, as well as about 90% of our guests. When we first started working with them they seemed like they were in a transition and were having difficulty answering our questions which made us a little nervous. Not long into the process, Nicole, an event planning manager, started working with us. Nicole was great! She always answered any random question we had very promptly and it was great to know we had someone to go to with any questions or concerns since we had such a big group there. She even left us (bride/groom) a card, champagne and strawberries in our hotel room the night of our wedding. It was such a great surprise after a long day. The property was great and had so many options of things to do. The rooms were clean and updated. The views of the bay were amazing! The guests thought the staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great experience here!

The hotel is simply amazing. High class accommodations greet you at every corner. I don't think I opened a door the entire time, as staff was standing by ready to lend a hand. Beautifully decorated, kept at a cool temperature, and perfect for professional events.

Rooms were nice but noting special for the price. Attended a work function and was given good but very slow service. The staff seemed to constantly argue about orders, refills, carryout boxes, etc.

Additionally, i have never paid more in my life for watered down jameson ....it was absurd to pay more than double the cost of a bottle for a single drink.

Location at the Hyatt is very centrally located, the rooms are very well kept and decorated, and the hotel staff provides wonderful service with a smile except for the very unhappy bartender who did his job but wasn't very friendly. Probably having a bad day.

Save your money and go elsewhere.

We stayed here for my mom's birthday. The place looks nice and resort-like, but the first thing I noticed when we walked in was the smell. It's like they buy tropical beach airfreshners and spray them throughout the lobby. It's not Hawaii - it's Tampa Bay and airport adjacent - enough with the chemical ocean wave smell. Then the rooms. The room looked very nice and the bed and pillows were nice, like any other hotel. What wasn't nice was the air conditioning fan in our room that when powering down sounded like a prison guard dragging his nightstick across the bars of the cells. It literally woke us up everytime it reached a comfortable temperature. We could turn the air conditioner off... but its Florida. Then the shower water pressure. It was terrible. Like the bedding, there are other hotels with bad water pressure, but if you're going to sell yourselves as top-of-the-line, maybe provide a top-of-the-line experience. At check out they completely messed up the billing for our three rooms. Also, I left a tie and tie clip in the closet. The hotel confirmed that they found it and they had it in their possession. They sent me a link to get it shipped to me and they wanted to charge me $23+. I called and spoke to multiple people because while I was absolutely willing to pay for shipping, and even handling (envelope and employees time), $23+ for something that could fit in an envelope and would require approximately 2 stamps seemed super excessive. One of the employees I talked to agreed and said they constantly get calls to this effect but no matter how many times he asked management, they didn't do anything. They clearly don't care once you pay and leave... Finally, the way it was left last, was that someone would get back to me, but I've given up waiting. Overall I was super disappointed with the "GRAND" Hyatt. They advertise themselves as a top-of-the-line place, but their facility and customer service are more on par with an exit-adjacent motel. So at the end of the day just realize that, unless you like a pretty lobby that smells like fake beach from a can, you're not getting anything special here, so find somewhere cheaper.

The parking garage was a bit confusing at first because the first couple of spaces are reserved and there are not clear signs directing you. The hotel inside is really nice, I was there for a work Christmas party and there were large, open rooms that were really fancy.

Gorgeous hotel, only thing missing is a spa, however everything else is exceptional. Plenty of bar choices, restaurants, and an epic breakfast. Highly recommend if you are coming into Tampa to stay here and relax your time away.

Was in the executive suite, it was nice but the living room area was just a conjoined room that was converted into a living room so the layout was awkward. Was also in a normal room and I liked that better, in my opinion the suite wasn't worth the extra money. The hotel is quite nice regardless, the restaurants are overpriced but are really good food. Beautiful views out of the rooms.

This is a beautiful and luxurious hotel. I love the fact that they care for the mangroves that completely line the water side of the property and give visitors access through a series of boardwalks. That being said, because of the mangroves, you can't see the water from the hotel unless you have a Bayside view room (I didn't this time). The picture on their website is very misleading. It's not even at the hotel but down the road in back of the restaurant. You can't see the water. My room was nice except for the view. The bed was a little too firm but I still slept.

I attended a wedding here last night. The staff were great, the room was beautiful, and the food was outstanding! Of course, as exceptional as those were, the all pale in comparison to the beautiful views out of every window.

The most phenomenal week of my life. This hotel was spectacular, the service, cleanliness and the way they made me feel like I was the only guest was extremely memorable. The amenities are outstanding and the onsite restaurants were incredible. The bay views from my room were unbelievable. I've stayed at numerous hotels and this one is always in my top 3.

We drove in and there was optional valet parking, but free garage parking which is always a plus. The lobby is gorgeous with a bar and a nice seating area. The room was very spacious and clean. The pool attached to the hotel is very small and not very suitable for children, however I believe there is another pool available which we didn't go to. We had brunch at Oystercatchers and it was worth every penny! Overall a very good experience.

Let me start off by saying I have never written a review before until now. I stayed here from Dec. 26th through Jan 2nd. with the Auburn football team for the 2015 outback bowl with my husband who is on the team. Everyday we left the room and when we came back our room was not cleaned, we had to call the front desk to send housekeeping up to give us fresh sheets and towels and take out the trash, EVERYDAY. Then some days they wouldn't even give us fresh stuff they would just remake the bed with the same sheets and fold our towels on the floor and put them back on the racks. If they do that with us there how many times do you think they actually change and wash their sheets. Then when we left I left 2 bibles, a scarf and a box of earrings (I know I'm an idiot for doing it) but when I tried to go back later that day I was denied access to the room as other guests had checked into it and I was told any items found would be turned into the head of house keeping and I could call them the next business day. I did that and after being sent on the run around for 45mins between the front desk and some website they finally directed me to the head of housekeeping which I left a detailed message for. She called me back the following day and I was told they had BOTH bibles and a scarf but no earrings (which I let go of anyways) so I would need to send someone to pick them up since I was already back in Alabama. I sent my mother over the weekend to get them, then when she got there they only gave her one bible and one scarf. Of course the bible missing is the one I wanted because it was a gift from my great-grandmother (who is now passed) and it had my name embossed into it and a beautiful design on the front of it. The bad thing is how do you tell me you have it then don't turn it over when someone comes looking for it. I am beyond furious about this and all they could tell me is, "That's what was found if anything else is found we will call you".

I am a local who stayed for the 1st time at this Hyatt for Christmas. Beautiful hotel and property, but it was very STRESSFUL staying here!!! I decided to extend my stay, so was asked to change my room at 2a.m. SO they could accommodate me. Got to room 1113, unpacked everything, to find refrigerator was dirty and when I put the complimentary robe on it was soiled with USED tissues in the pocket!!! Demanded room change. Went to room 508, everything seemed to be ok, but did not get settled in until 6a.m.!!! Ate at Oystercatchers Christmas eve, unfortunately got sick from eating a bad and MUSHY lobster tail. Had diarrhea for 2 days !!! Armini's was also disappointment as the service was horrible by older bartender named Dennis!!! The only friendly bartender was Charlie at the 1823 lobby.

Went back to my room only to find out that the refrigerator broke in my 3rd room I was switched to, CAUSING almost $100 in groceries from Whole Foods to spoil!!! 2a.m. maintenance brought me a new refrigerator but the food had to be thrown away!!! Another late night going to bed because of more hotel issues!!!

Broke out in hives from the stress of being attacked Christmas night in the Hyatt lobby by a small white dog, no owner or leash attached and expensive food spoiled!!!

Had to go for a massage the next day because I was so stressed out from this hotel.

The manager Steve was very kind in assisting me DURING the rest of my stay, but I never SHOULD have demanded to speak to upper management because of everything that I endured at this Hyatt.

Spoke to other hotel guest, THEY too were very disappointed in this Hyatt. No one would automatically light the firepits by the pool, guess always had to ask, not appropriate at all.

Only decent food was from room service and outside food delivery service. Armini's and Oystercatchers were extremely disappointing!!! Was also told at 1823 bar that I could not have outside drink at bar, had to argue with bartender because I purchased my wine upstairs at Armini's!!!

Giving it 2 stars because the manager Steve was very kind and even gave me his cell # to call with any other issues.

Not sure if I ever plan to stay at this Hyatt again... Such a shame...

Left my phone charger and they wouldn't even check for it. Desk clerk Kayla said I had to report it on a website. I went to the website and I found I needed a code to use it. Had to call back and get the code. Not what I call great customer service. Now I have to wait to see if I get an email saying they have my phone charger. Very impersonal and rude. I will not stay there ever again.

The grounds were really nice. We did the nature walk. The staff was really friendly and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant didn't have a very wide selection by was elegant and comfortable. I will return.

Old high traffic hotel surrounded by the interstate . Nothing fancy or special. No where to party here. We had to uber into the city to find folks under 75 to chill with. My granny liked it...
