The Grand Hyatt Tampa bay has it all. Great location, wonderful restaurants, bars, beautiful grounds, polite efficient staff. Just try to avoid the lady who resides at the property. She passes herself off at one of the owners, very nosy, and will talk your ear off.

4th of July is our anniversary, wanted to enjoy the roof top patio and watch fireworks but was closed. both pools on site are too small to actually get in. one spa three people can fit in.( was drained in the morning a kid pooped in it) an over crowded fitness center, two towers and one fitness center? hope you don't have loud neighbors walls are cardboard. on the plus side the hotel service and room were great. just don't plan on leaving your room. will never recommend this Hyatt.

Went to Armani's for a drink as they were closing up. The bartender, Karim, always recognizes us when we come in even though there are months in between visits. He served us amazing drinks with amazing service. One of my favorite places to go even if it is just for one drink.

Pool is not 24 hours like the website states. Bar staff literally made my friend cry and refused to serve her. The manager then gave no sympathy about the situation. The manager the next day apologized but the whole situation was embarrassing. The handmade beach was nice outside of the Casitas (walkable from main hotel)

Really enjoyed my stay. It was my 12 year anniversary and our first time at this property they treated is very well and made our anniversary stay special. Already planning our next stay.

My review could be skewed a bit after a night of hell dealing with the atrocity they call a hotel at the Red Roof Inn, but after fleeing that putrid dump I came to the Grand Hyatt. What a world of difference!

The grounds are clean and have gorgeous landscaping - thick soft, well-maintained grass, pavers lining the roadways, lots of decor, little bridges over cute koi ponds, lush and well kept vegetation, jogging trails, etc. The lobby and interior areas are also just as clean and beautifully decorated. The staff is professional in both appearance and demeanor. Check-in was a breeze, and they politely ignored my dirty stinky frumpy entrance after a long night of driving away from a hurricane. The room was clean and had no foul odors (non-smoking seems to actually mean non-smoking here). All items were functional and all linens were clean and smelled fresh. Had no trouble ordering food delivery. The dog walking areas had poo bag dispensers and I didn't see any dog waste left out on the ground. Basic WiFi is complimentary.

WARNINGS:
* Dogs: This place is dog-friendly, and there are a LOT of guests with dogs. Most are well-behaved, but occasionally a more thoughtless guest will be one of those types of people with little rat dogs they never train or discipline that will bark and yip at other dogs. If you have a dog allergy, you should make a special request for accommodations to keep you away from the dogs. If you bring dogs that are not dog- or stranger-friendly, you might want to crate them during check-in and muzzle them for walks to avoid causing problems. Your dogs should be spayed/neutered and up to date (with documentation) on all required vaccinations. There are poo bag dispensers in case you forget to bring your own bags.

* EV charging: If you have an electric vehicle, they do have charging stations here, but they are only for the kinds of ports on Teslas (e.g. a typical Nissan Leaf's standard J1772 is not compatible), so you'll want to find a nearby charging station ahead of time if you don't have the right connector.

* Microwaves: The rooms don't have them. If you're accustomed to cheap motels and expect to bring microwavable food with you, you'll either want to rethink that plan, expect to use ice packs to keep your frozen foods frozen in the mini-fridge, bring your own microwave, or you might be able to ask for a microwave with your accommodation request (I didn't ask, so I'm not sure if they do this or not, it's just a suggestion).

CONCLUSION:
A flawless hotel at a good price (if I had to guess, I would have expected this hotel's prices to start at $400 a night instead of $250). I would definitely recommend it and I would definitely stay here again myself.

I *highly* recommend anyone who chooses to stay here keep an eye on your bank account. I was erroneously charge a second time 6 days after I had closed and checked out for $145. When I called to question this charge, I was told their system had no record of it and nothing could be done.

The room was nothing like advertised online. It was claustrophobic and despite COVID19 protocols, smelled of rank body odor. Not to mention people doing drugs in the parking garage - classy!

If you like stinky/small rooms and low-class establishments masquerading with a nice fountain out front.. Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay is for you! Come for the convenience, stay & get scammed.

I placed a reservation through Agoda with bay view. When we got to check in and they didn't have room we reserved. They gave us a villa saying that it had the bay view. Woke up in the morning and all we had was mangroves view and a bed sheets with hair.

Talked to the manager and he was less than helpful and was only trying to get us to stay another night.

The hotel room and hotel were amazing. The hotel smelt amazing upon entering. Very nice and updated with a convenient bar and restaurant on site, and a beautiful pool and lounging area. However I m giving the 3 stars because I stayed Thursday night through Saturday night. (7/18-7/21)
Friday night I was walking back into the hotel at about 8pm and almost got ran over by a golf cart driven by an employee that was going extremely fast with no headlight about 30 feet from the hotel entrance. Scared me so bad. If I wouldn t of jumped out of of the way I would ve been hit. Other than this incident, it was a great stay.

Beautiful Hotel and the Staff was great! We ate at the restaurant on the first floor and every option we tried on the menu was delicious. One of the best things about this huge hotel the may be overlooked by most is that the elevators are fast and you never have to wait long to get to and from your room. If your like me and hate waiting for anything you'll appreciate the elevators.

Our stay the 14th & 15th of March was not that pleasing. We booked a double bed casitas 3 weeks in advanced abs we when arrived they didn t have our room ready and they advised us that they didn t have any double bed casitas available. I m super calm but shouldn t be bc I spent a lot of money. Their only accommodation was a a single king size bed and a roll out bed. Not acceptable! They entire stay I ve been told that once one because available I ll hear from them. Well it s the next day at 5:00 pm and not even a phone call. We usually love this hotel but this visit was not at pleasurable the way I d imagined it to be.

Home away from home, when in Tampa only Grand Hyatt. Welcoming atmosphere, friendly stuff, exceptional service, delicious food. Especially noted breakfast buffet and a dedicated host Lilia who goes above and beyond to make sure you re comfortable.

Apparently customer service and hospitality are not what this location specializes in. I needed a room at the last minute for a family member who missed their original flight to Tampa for a family cruise. I was charged by Priceline for the room and then without notice, the hotel charged me an incedental charge but never informed me that I was being charged or what this charge was until I came back downstairs to inquire. At first I was told that the Priceline charge was a "down payment" and the remaining balance was what was charged to my card. After showing that I paid for the room in full it was explained, by the manager, that they charged an "incedentals" deposit and I would receive it back upon checkout. They also could not provide me any kind of receipt for the charge so I had to get a manager to put it in writing. I explained that I was taking a cruise the next day and that card had to have the funds available immediately not after a 3-5 day wait. If they could not guarantee that then I would go elsewhere. I was ensured by the manager that it would not be an issue. The next morning upon checkout I was again ensured the deposit would be immediately refunded. After trying to use the card and it not working, I was told by a corporate rep that the hold will take 3-5 business days, exactly what I feared. After speaking to the manager to inquire why she would give me incorrect information she said, "Well, it's a weekend so it's because of your bank. We have released the funds." I travel frequently and so does my family. We will never stay at a Hyatt property again.

The room was very nice and clean. The rooms for are meetings were nice but kept way to cold. Lunch was good but for a place like this I expected real eggs vs the powder ones we were served with breakfast.

The hotel itself is beautiful and spotless at all times! The little extras that the hotel provides- complimentary waters, a pristine gym with complimentary earbuds, extremely attentive doormen and accommodating staff throughout from desk to valet! The hotel is 5 minutes from the airport and a short ride to Steinbrenner, so the perfect place to stay for a weekend of baseball! We had a fantastic time and customer service was above and beyond! We won t stay anywhere else when visiting Tampa!

We hosted an event at the Grand Hyatt and had a fabulous experience. Their team, including Carly, Michael and Jose from PSAV were on top of all of my requests onsite and so great to work with! The food at the reception was exceptional as well as the service there. Their team did a great job creating a Covid safe space to host a meeting. I highly recommend this venue!
