Stayed here on a work trip, the location is great near some nice bars and restaurants. The hotel is very fancy and my room had a Great view of the waterfront. Superb service staff and food. The only downside was the shower not getting warm at 6:45 in the morning, so I smelt unpleasant for the day, leading to all my work colleagues calling me hurtful names. I fully recommend.

Lovely hotel, great rooms but water pressure isn't great & pity you can't sit outside with your coffee when the sun is shining. Other than that, lovely with nice leisure centre and great gym. Staff are very friendly & helpful.

Nice hotel, lovely views and location. Swimming pool is a nuisance as you have to exit the building to enter. Not particularly nice on a cold rainy day and Ireland has plenty of those. Could be sorted with a walkway above the car park.

I actually like this place, I was just disappointed at the ocean resturant when a ginger bearded youngster told me with a smile on his face that the dining starts at 5pm...we booked a table, he even took my son's name and mobile number....when we arrived at 17h00, there was a static line of people waiting...at 17h40, we were gradually allowed in...when it was our turn, there was anothed person managing, he had no record of our booking and said they were fully booked up....we protested, of course...he kindly found us an unprepared table at a window in a nice private spot and assisted us very professionally...dark haired gent with foreign accent, impressive manner...he also apologised profusely and certainly did his best for us. Otherwise, the food and service was good.

Always a great Hotel to visit. Staff are friendly. The Toilets are always attended to which is so important these days. Food is very good too if a wee bit expensive.
You pay for what you get though. Very busy Restaurant on Sundays. Thanks to the Management team....

Not great. Had DAds 70th there and carvery was
Not nice and overpriced. Staff did not care. Had to ask them to clear tables when they were taking drink orders as they would walk away empty handed while dirty plates stacked on table.

The barman in the small bar was friendly and professional

Rooms are small and WiFi is slow but the staff are helpful. I'd avoid the food and go into Malahide to eat though, my fish and chips was so undercooked the batter was still raw on a couple pieces.

Decent place to stay, beautiful foyer and good swimming facilities across the way that you can use. Room was rather small and dated which is disappointing considering the price. Breakfast was great. Overall a nice place if you look past the small room and slightly dated features in places

Great place to stay. Location is perfect with only a short walk to the centre. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The only thing missing for me was a water fountain to refill my water bottle but apart from that I would definitely return for another stay.

Staying here during COVID-19 the hotels safety measures were excellent, with temperature check and contact tracing measures being implemented.

I'm staying through work and it's been great. Breakfast included in the morning. The staff is super helpful. Allowed me to check in early and get some rest from the flight. Location is beautiful next to the bay. If it's convenient for your travel definitely recommend to stay here.

Nice hotel in a beautiful location (by the sea)! Clean, nice spacious rooms and great breakfast. Certain rooms are a bit difficult to find, so follow the instructions of the reception well. Furthermore, too little seen / visited in the immediate area to be able to judge.

DISAPPOINTED!!! :(

DISAPPOINTED!!! :(

Me and my partner had a very bad experience in this hotel's Ryan Bar as we were waiting for the food 35 minutes after which the wrong order was brought to us and we had to wait additional 15 minutes. By that time I have decided to cancel the order however the working staff convinced us that it will be taken off the bill. At the end there were major issues with that and their manager Stephen Simpson who is a bully and terrorizing his staff decided to intimidate us by shouting across the venue to cover up for his incompetence and the bad customer service. He was very unpleasant, impolite and you could clearly see that the waiting staff acts nervous around him (things were falling, glasses being dropped, wrong orders made, him raising his voice and being aggressive towards his staff and customers). He thought that he can use this lack of manners to intimidate us. However I am not use to see this kind of hostility and I certainly would not expect that from a four star hotel in Malahide. We have paid the bill but will NEVER go there again because it is not about money but about the experience.
Me and my fiance were also looking for a venue as we are getting married and inviting 200 guests from all over the world, Australia and US. and we were thinking of choosing this hotel for our wedding but I could not imagine that somebody like Stephen Simpson Ryan (as he calls himself) would speak like this to one of my guests and insult them. American guests would certainly not feel welcome here as there was one American family siting right next to us and there were unhappy also. They thought that it was unacceptable and that: '"it would be easier to order a pizza then get food at this hotel".

We have also mention this incident to the deputy manager at the time, but the way they seem to deal with the issues there is to turn the blind eye on it, as he never got back to us.

We are VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE GRAND HOTEL MALAHIDE INHOSPITALITY AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! :( And we think that they have a major issues there.

Staffs are kind & very helpful. Nice Restaurant & provide delicious breakfast. I have good memories & strongly recommended. Very nice senic view, safe environment. The only drawback is a bit far from city centre. I will definitely stay again if I visit to Dublin.

Service in Matt Ryan bar is the worst I ve experienced in any hotel . Staff haven t a notion . Needs a proper paid manager to train and motivate the staff.
The waiting time in the bar is unacceptable for food . It s also extremely difficult to get attention from the bar staff . We noticed this on all occasions.
We had to walk out last time to get food elsewhere. It s an ongoing problem and it s such a shame as we are local and would make plenty of use of the hotel

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great both at the bar and restaurant. The view of the water was beautiful and its at the perfect location. The swimming pool was great especially for the kids that came with us. The only thing that disappointed me was the room that we stayed in was quite small and it was difficult for me and my boyfriend to move about. The bathroom was also very small and had no bath, the shower was tiny, i had to move sideways to get into it.

Established 1835 but they have made it feel so comfy. Yes it is older, but it doesn't seem so old. I love the style and the people are so friendly!! Breakfast is buffett and is excellent!! The hotel is across the street from the water and a walking path that is great for early morning walks to watch the sunrise. Beautiful place.

Went to a course here, did not stay. Only commenting on the meeting room and food. The meeting room was a bit dated, and the bathrooms in the reception were quite smelly. The food was overpriced, I had a sandwich with chicken, it was processed chicken out of a pack, and very little of it in the sandwich. The satay curry was ok, but quite a small portion for 15. On the plus side, the staff were nice and friendly.
