The location is convenient for those arriving by train, even if the neighborhood is not the most beautiful. Smiling and helpful staff and can make up for various deficiencies in the structure. Room not really of last youth and above all badly isolated (room facing the street on the 1st floor), the bathroom is tiny. Although the breakfast is varied, I had to wait more than 10 minutes to sit down.

Very good, tasteful hotel with a high level of professionalism and a very tasty breakfast offer. During a weekend stay in Naples and Pompei I could hardly have wished for a better base, as it is also located directly at the main station.
It was very pleasant, graceful!

Located in a less part of Naples just behind the station. However, it is neat and clean. Nice and helpful staff. The breakfast is a bit limited in terms of choice, if you want something extra you have to pay extra.

We stayed here for 4 nights. This hotel is clean and the staff is helpfull and friendly. The location is very conveniant. Close to the train station, busses and the subway. We had a big room with 3 beds (1 double). I must say that we found the beds fairly hard, but maybe that is a personal preference.
Napels is not a wealthy city. There are a lot of beggars (all over the city) and African people selling stuff. The neighbourhood around the hotel has a lot of it (it is to be expected close to the station). At night this feels a bit intimidating. But except for the beggars (mostly locals) we were never bothered by anyone.

Unfortunately, the star is due to the fact that although we are continually satisfied with the hotel that we would be arriving late, we saw the reservation canceled, as there was no credit on the given card as a guarantee and not seeing us arrive after a certain time, I repeat having notified the hotel that we would be arriving late, they tried to climb the money from the first night off the card and, failing to make the transaction, canceled the booking, thinking we would never show up again (apparently, according to them, many do so ), without even contacting us by telephone. So we arrived and we found the surprise. Luckily a kind receptionist found us a room, which, even though it was a screw, allowed us not to go to sleep on the street. I recommend next time to the nice lady who canceled our booking to warn her customers first, so maybe they come back, which we certainly won't do.

Really central with friendly staff, clean rooms and a continental breakfast with everything you could think off. It is only a short distance to the central station where you can get buses and trains which leave nationally and locally. More

This hotel is quite close to the Napoli Centrale train station. You can walk it down in under 5 minutes.

The normal rooms for two guests were good and well maintained. The room was clean, the bathroom was dry, the view was not great, but manageable. The suite however, was a disappointment. The bathroom was stinky and some bulbs weren't working. When we rang up the reception to help us with this, they sent up the staff after 30 minutes!

However, the cloak room service was good. We were able to leave out suitcases there for 2 nights when we were away at Sorrento. The breakfast is very limited, but quite good.

If you are looking for a Hotel in Naples do not book in this hotel.
I booked through a well-known online operator based on reviews and taking advantage of an attractive rate offer. On arrival I realized what "saving is not profit" means, we slept in a dirty room full of dust, not to mention the mold in the bathroom, disgusting !!! (the staff was so nice to shrug and continue to make their personal cell phone call.) The restaurant, open only for dinner, has a slow service and with products with a little doubt. Breakfast passable, espresso is served by the waiter, ... we are still waiting for it !!!! I leave a star because I can't put 0

Very nice all very nice !! We really enjoyed it. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was all very good. Possibility to choose a fixed price or a la carte menu. Average prices. Near bus stop and metro, in an instant you can reach every part of this beautiful city. Try the La Pignatta restaurant, the Spanish quarter: a triumph of kindness all at a very low price.

Clean hotel and nice staff, but the degradation we found outside the hotel was impressive, never seen so much filth, drunk people in the evening drug addicts. We were supposed to stay a week but on the second day we decided to leave. Too bad that a city like Naples is in such bad shape ....

We stayed 7 nights in the Carlo Colonna suite, a very comfortable room for 5 people clean and furnished with style. The staff was excellent and the sympathy of the unique waiters. A rich buffet of both sweet and savory not to mention the unmistakable aroma and flavor of good Neapolitan coffee. Friendly and helpful room staff. Professionalism and courtesy at the reception. Hotel near the station and therefore convenient for all the places to visit. Absolutely recommended.

The hotel is well located near the central station as a stopover, with good connectivity to the Metro and buses. However, the part of town is very busy with traffic, and the surrounding area is really average.
In terms of hotel itself, we had booked for a family room - which came with a single bed, and a bunk bed. The room was road-facing, which meant there was a lot of traffic noise throughout the night. the hotel offers a restaurant and breakfast, which are good enough, nothing special. In all - a good price for an economic hotel.

The hotel itself is great staff have great english skills and will help you with any thing (trains, taxis tours etc) However the area it's in isn't great, if you're going for beauty and sea view. Don't come, but is you want a trip away then please do go.

The hotel has exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The room is larger and nicer than expected. The library, lounge, bar area, lobby are very nice looking and everything is so clean. Our room (136) was not marked as no smoking, but our very, very sensitive noses NEVER detected a whiff of smoke smell. The floors are wood or tile or marble, and the walls are concrete with lots of storage space.

The hotel stands out from the neighborhood in which its located. The neighborhood is dirty, but we never felt unsafe walking to the hotel or even strolling around the neighborhood to just enjoy the local atmosphere. The advantage is that not may tourists hang out in that neighborhood. The Neapolitan pizza made at the nearby Pelone Pizzeria is as good or BETTER than the many pizzas we samples at the city;s best locations. I think its the neighborhood that keeps such excellent pies from being reviewed on bloggers top pizza lists. The location of the hotel makes it VERY easy to arrive and leave from the station as it is literally across the street from north exit (just head to the right after leaving your train). Of course, this also gives you very convenient access to the Metro and buses (but use the North side entrance, thank me later). One last note on the area, there are at least two supermarkets within a few minutes walk and a self-service laundry.

When we return to Naples we will certainly stay at Grand Hotel Europa. Ida was great at helping us arrange our shuttle to the Reggia Outlet! The WiFi from the room is not very good (thick walls and doors), but its good near the door and certainly in the library (I worked from there many days!). I do recommend you get a SIM card which works in Europe. We had some global SIM cards from FreedomPop which we picked up before we left home and they worked VERY well.

The breakfast was good and plenty. They never cleared it away immediately once 10:00 AM came and guests were still eating. They graciously let me take breakfast to my family when they slept in.

Excellent hotel, I am so glad we stayed here. Thank you GHE for making our stay so great.

(2018/10) One night on weekdays. A 5-minute walk from Naples Central Station, there is also a supermarket at the station, which is convenient. There are a lot of traffic at night, but because the security is not good, it is safe to walk in a group with some people if you act in the night.
