The hotel could be great as the hitel, grounds and our pool villa are quite exceptional BUT our experience was poor. The food is simply disgusting and we tried three restaurants and sent the food back every time. From frozen prawns that were over cooked to Iberico Ham straight from a super market packet and presented on the cardboard base. Steaks were cremated, just horrible.

The staff are all very nice and every time we complained about the food, they agreed and did not charge us.

The other gripe was on check in, the staff wanted us to write our card data down on a piece of paper which is totally insecure and in breach of GDPR regulations!

This hotel really needs to get its act together!

The price / quality ratio is poor bar and bar. Clammy rooms with air conditioning that barely works. Also, the rooms were not clean, there was even a cockroach over the room in the evening (!).

The swimming pools were also terrible, meters deep, sometimes even 3 meters, decorated with lava stones. Very nice and nice that decoration but you get your whole hands and feet open when you are swimming.

The hotel is also built against a mountain, which is bursting with stairs, steps and all kinds of other irregularities. Not suitable for people in wheelchairs or people with walking difficulties.

The garden and the location of the hotel, on the other hand, are really phenomenal. The gardens are nice and big so you can really relax and the beach is within walking distance.

In contrast, the food is not that phenomenal for the price. The evening buffet costs 16 token and what do you get in return? A steak that resembles a cooked shoe steak with warm fries that was in the frying pan 2 hours ago. The food is really not worthy of 5 stars. The breakfast was okay, but not really okay for a 5 star hotel in this price range.

But the hotel's biggest problem: overdue maintenance. The hotel is just really in need of a major makeover, when this will take place everything will improve.

All in all, I do not recommend this hotel, the price you pay is not reflected in anything and therefore this hotel is really not worth it.

Beautiful place, great spa, very professional masseurs and especially thank the good treatment of the director Benicio who has been incredibly kind. It's nice to deal with such a staff. We will be back!

Great old fashioned quality with a modern twist. The location is great, the food a genuine delight and the staff really look after you. Rooms are well proportioned and entertainment is good quality. The Spa is world class and the tennis, gym, squash and pools are exclusively yours to play or lounge in. Excellent Hotel.

Beautiful classic style hotel, set on the hillside. Breakfast buffet was good. Lots of nice poolside space across the whole property, many with see views. Staff very nice. Standard room is spacious and well appointed. Welcome drink on arrival. Be prepared for lots of steps. Nice location, can walk along the waterfront in both directions, with some shops nearby and some choices of restaurants. A very relaxing stay.

My wife and I stayed there for a week. The resort is beautiful and huge with easy access to Playa del Duque and quite a few swimming pools to enjoy. The staff was very kind and willing to assist with everything. We had a flight at 17:30 and the hotel management were kind enough to provide us with a courtesy room to shower in after check out.

Spectacular hotel, set as if it were a Canarian town, beautiful views, room of 10, breakfast very rich and of course a staff with an excellent treatment always smiling and very friendly at the pool and breakfast, reception or staff cleaning. I did not find anything wrong. I would have liked to try the spa but we did not have time.

Crisp hotel in the south of Tenerife. Great beach. But for the price that he paid, I would like a slightly more refined cuisine. Some rooms and areas need renovation. Territory and service, beyond much praise.

It is a fanatic hotel.

It is a fanatic hotel.
Located in a privileged natural context. . And in front of a wonderful beach. The architecture of the building is particularly fascinating

My first and probably last visit to this hotel...

My first and probably last visit to this hotel...

If you take a taxi from the airport to the hotel watch the prices as there is a board stating what should he charged the taxi drivers add 5 to 10 euros on top.
Upon arrival at the hotel the porters are at hand ..smiles all the way and are very helpful. Luggage is taken from you and left in the lobby. The only gripe I have with this is that when you read the hotel small print...it takes no responsibility for items going missing or being taken by its staff whilst your luggage is left and you check in. Remember your luggae is taken off you and left to stand in the hotel entrance and totally ignorws until you go and collect it after the check in , so what seems like a great gesture could go drastically wrong.
Once checked in yet again the porters are helpful....they won't let u take your own luggage...usual custom of wanting a tip.

Once checked in...dependent on where u stay in the hotel the rooms are pleasantly presented. My pitfall was the tea and coffee facility..unfortunately it was not placed out and I only found it by chance in my wardrobe. What seemed to be just a kettle had the tea and coffee hidden in a tray.

Go for a walk...the grounds are amazing with beautiful scenery and the choice of pools is great. The sun lounger are well maintained as us the whole complex.
The staff are exemplary and are very helpful...as mentioned previous my biggest gripe is the porters...reminds me of an airport where they try and grab your suitcase to get a few euros!!
Food wise...is average .. had better elsewhere...and I felt that it was over priced. I would rather head to the Caribbean and get better value for money.

There is 5 stars and a price...and then there is extortion.

So to sum up....

Would I come to the hotel again...

If I had enough money to throw away ..yes I would...but being brutally honest I would stay elsewhere in Tenerife as cannot warrant what the hotel charges.. ..it is a lovely building and friendly staff.. but just a tad over priced for what you receive.

A shame really....perhaps i have been spoilt by sastaying away from Tenerife and Europe and just expect more for my hard earnt wages.
The Caribbean just gives you more.

One of the best hotels on the southwest coast. Staff in national costumes. The architecture of colonial Spain, a lot of greenery, a lake with swans, an observatory, gazebos and much more. Beautiful rooms sleeps and chic spa. The location of the hotel is the best! I recommend to everyone.
