Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque Review

Lots to love about this hotel. The room was fab and all the staff friendly and helpful - especially in the spa and wine bar. Excellent choice for breakfast and hard to fault any of the meals we had. However it s top end prices and lacks a little atmosphere - only saw a few people in the restaurants for dinner and in the bars so preferred to go out of the hotel in the evening. Also seems to be a popular venue for events so lots of smarter dressed people around whilst you are relaxing by the pool which was slightly off putting.

For us, not only the best hotel in the Islands, but the best vacation place we know, absolutely everything is created to satisfy the customer, to repeat year after year and continue to surprise you with the attention to detail.

DISGUSTING, I went with my mother to a Villa in this hotel to rest since we are sanitary and we have worked throughout the period of COVID-19. When we got to the Villa we found about 12 wasps in the pool that did not go away all day. We discussed the situation and they decided to change our Villa, when we made the change and entered the new Villa, the cleaning ladies were cleaning over the top since this Villa was totally disgusting. The dirty pool, the half-made bed and when I went to open the pool umbrella, TWO COCKROACHES CAME OUT. I HAVE PHOTOS OF EVERYTHING BECAUSE IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.
To make matters worse, the receptionist does not give us any solution, she only listens to us and tells us that she is sorry but that she cannot do anything about it.
We went home that same day, neither resting nor enjoying ourselves.
TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT.

Stunning location with a large choice of accommodation and facilities.

One of the most gorgeous locations we've ever stayed. We spent the second half of our honeymoon here and can't stop thinking about it! There is so much to do, the staff is amazing, and every meal was amazing. You can easily exit the resort and walk along the oceanfront and go to other restaurants and shops.

Candies are deliberately placed so that they are perceived as a gift, so for free and refilled daily, at the end you will be informed that each tin of candy costs 10.50. Bottomless impudence.

I was surprised by the hotel, super nice, very complete, good service. Food was very good every dinner had a theme. There was a heated pool, also a mini-club and very cool the boogies

Fantastic hotel. Excellent staff, friendly, helpful. 5 different swimming pools. Great restaurants. Kid friendly and nightly kids enteermain. Best resort on tenerrif. By the beach there are banana boats which was lovely and I did jet ski and parasailing.

I love the fact that it is not just one big accommodation block - it is made up of lots of different buildings which gives great character to the place. Exceptional staff - all very helpful and friendly.

The best hotel of Tenerife (as for me). It was more luxury before... Now it looks like they are trying to save some money ... Price (for rooms and villas) is the same for at least 10 years... The location is perfect for beach lovers...

We stayed in a great villa with a private pool - perfect service, very clean, Top-Resort, EVERYTHING WAS JUST PERFECT !!

Terrible stay at this hotel. Total waste of time and money. An unpleasant surprise because the reviews online are very good. We had a Suite for almost 700 euros a night and it was really as big as a standard room of 200 euros. The service at the counter was difficult and after much pushing and pulling we were transferred to another room. It is massive, reminds you of Efteling because they all have a kind of uniform and no atmosphere at all. Never again. And never again Adeje!

I have traveled a lot throughout my life and I have to say that this hotel, El Bahia del Duque has something magical that makes me want to return whenever I can. I would highlight the excellent treatment of ALL the hotel staff, close and friendly. Always with a smile. But there is much more, its swimming pools, the rooms that are almost all magnificent. I recommend the ducal houses if you are going as a couple and those closest to the reception if you are with your family. The whole hotel is like a mini city where there are always things to do. 5 restaurants. A gym, tennis, the best SPA in an outdoor hotel. A luxury to enjoy whenever you can go. Thank you!!

Very nice hotel a little dated but definately very nice staff was amazing But some of the patrons were a little snobby.

Beautiful resort - All the staff put so much effort in to making this hotel as attractive and as comfortable as possible for the guests. I was so impressed. It feels spacious and luxurious and I would definitely recommend it. Can t fault it.

Spectacular hotel in every way. Food and exceptional treatment. Breakfasts with freshly squeezed natural juice and a wide variety of fruits.

Luxury hotel has several pools, a very large salt water and other smaller, one for children and one heated. The salt water was too cold to enjoy the pool. Deckchairs areas most are shaded so I feel quite cold in swimsuit. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, if a bit noisy as you hear a lot of noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway. The staff is very professional and very friendly at all times. The food is of very high quality and very good and varied buffet. The spa is not very big but fairly, Aesthetically it is very nice, one drawback is that the Spa has a dining area next to the decking area, which prevents relax you to the hear the noise of people eating and talking in tables, I would put it in another far side. As for the massage, the girls are very professional and very good masseurs. Overall the hotel is fine, next to the beach of El Duque, is a very big, very nice hotel but not the luxury hotels that I like about the South of Tenerife.
