BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! THEY USE PREDATORY LENDING PRACTICES! If I could give negative stars I would. This company approved us for multiple car loans and after the first loan was satisfied they have refused to release the title until ALL the loans are paid off. They claim they can not give us a full payment history on one vehicle because it has been purged from the system (!?) AND they are ignoring the previous two years worth of payments while charging DAILY interest for a vehicle we no longer have. Their representative Sean downtown claims that it is listed in all their car loan contracts that you have to pay off all loans to get any of the titles. We had a meeting with the original loan officer Jared in January but he never mentioned anything about that despite being told the loan would be paid off over TWO years before it was designed to be. Needless to say I closed my account today and I will be taking my mortgage as well as any other monetary transactions elsewhere. Do NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE PREDATORS OF THE HIGHEST LEVEL WILL WILL FULLY LEAVE PARTS OF THE CONTRACT UNDISCLOSED TO YOU THE PATRON'S PUNISHMENT. Needless to say I am going to fight this incident they have no legal right to keep hostage my vehicle.

Good chance that if the credit union has to be called, no one will answer the phone. Has happened to me a few times, and I have only called a handful of times. Also, I do not deposit checks in my checking account because they do not release the funds for 10 days. Found that out the hard way. The only value I find in my checking account with BFG Federal is that I have an account to transact automatic deposits and withdrawals. I am opening an account with Huntington. They have way better hours, customer service, and release funds in a timely manner.

If you aren't wealthy, I strongly recommend that you do not use this credit union. They impose a 10 business day waiting period on paper checks before you can access that money. In the past I've had tellers work around this. Today the so-called "head teller" refused to make an accomadation for me as other employees have, despite the fact that I have bills to pay and an empty fridge NOW. I guess "following the [asinine] rules" is more important than making sure your customers have food and utilities next month. I will be changing banks as soon as possible.

I love BFG Federal Credit Union. They are so in tune with my needs. Their service is top notch. Top management is accessible. Their loan rates are low or at least competitive and they bend over backwards to help you. I would like longer hours but hey, with mobile banking, I can accomplish pretty much anything I need.

Can't tell you how great it is to have a bank as great as this one... I've been a member for as far back as I can remember. I've always gotten fantastic service, great loans, and friendly employees to help me over the years! Special shout out to Leslie for working after closing hours to finalize the paperwork / signing for a new auto loan!!! Can't thank her enough!
