I have worked in the downtown building in Spokane, WA for 5 years now. And since Goodale & Barbieri took over as property managers there have been a lot of positive changes. They have cleaned it up, fixed things, and made it safer. Thank you

This is the worst costumer service I have ever received in my life!! Tami Dolson is the worst most evilest person I have ever met and is absolute garbage .She has the most trash personality a person could have. This company should not be hiring such horrible awful people such as Tami. She treats people like they trash.

DO NOT RENT FROM, LEASE FROM OR PURCHASE PROPERTY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I have never been treated with such disrespect in my 56 years of life...especially from someone I've never met. After reading reviews from the tenants that rent from Goodale & Barbieri directly or that rent from one of their various housing facilities...it comes as no surprise why Kim Conway, the "lady" in charge of the dept at Goodale & Barbieri, feels she can treat people with such disrespect n disregard. Our recent communications with Kim Conway and one of their onsite managers at Chewelah Manor, Deanna Dillinger, have been brought to the attention of the Office of the Inspector General at the HUD Agency in Washington DC. To say the employee at the agency is ""disturbed"" at what she heard and read in the handling of my situation, is just ONE term she used to describe what she was feeling. The ""legality"" of the way they handled my situation is going to be another issue.
So for those of you that have already written a review with your experience and the way Goodale & Barbieri have treated you and disrespected you, especially those that are renters? I hope this brings a sense of justice. Your reviews are going to be a major part of this as well. But did any of you that have already written a review and received feedback from Goodale & Barbieri, recognize the sleazy way they try to gain control and bring some sense of self-respect back to your negative reviews?? They try to find ANYTHING POSITIVE in a review and then they start their responses back with ""well we are glad to hear you are happy with the location of ur property...."" Read the reviews and you'll see what I'm talking about.

But my goal in writing this review is to encourage others that currently rent from this company, or that rent from one of their satellite properties, to also come forward with your experiences. YOU CAN REMAIN ANONYMOUS!! I've dealt with people like Kim Conway and Deanna Dillinger in the past and I haven't one doubt that if a tenant were to come forward using their real names, that they (the tenant) could be subjected to unjust and/or illegal ""punishment"" for coming forward. (Rent increases, evictions, etc). I've read several reviews from people that know exactly what I'm talking about!!
PLEASE HELP IN THIS FIGHT TO BRING JUSTICE TO ALL THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN HARMED BY THIS COMPANY AND/OR THEIR PROPERTY MANAGERS AT DIFFERENT LOCATIONS IN THE INLAND EMPIRE. THANK YOU!!

I can't believe, in the time of a worldwide pandem...

I can't believe, in the time of a worldwide pandemic where thousands of people are dieing every day, that this property management company would send their maintenance people in to every apartment at my complex to install a non-emergency device. It is called a Fire Avert, and while it seems to be a good product to have, it is not worth me catching the Covid19 virus and losing my life over, nor me passing the virus to my whole family and having them die also. I have lived in this complex for over 8 years without the Fire Avert and have been just fine. Perhaps they could have installed it at a time that there was not a worldwide pandemic? Two maintenance people entered my apartment, this was "mandatory", without face masks or any type of PPE equipment at all, after they had visited 20 some other apartments in the same manner. And to install it, they basically had to touch and breathe on almost everything in my kitchen and living room, as well as the breaker box in my bedroom. So I got 20 apartment homes worth of germs all throughout my apartment. How irresponsible, negligent, and just downright stupid can this company be? It amazes me beyond belief. Not to mention the countless other problems that I, and my neighbors, have had to deal with since Goodale and Barbieri property management company took over a few months ago. NEVER hire this company for property management, nor rent from a property managed by them. I will be forwarding this message to Governer Jay Inslee's office to file a complaint about non-compliant Covid19 business practices.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced...

The worst customer service I have ever experienced! A tree trimer from their company was completely rude when asked "hey, what's going on?" While he's on my property I'm paying to rent with no prior notice given to me!(a stay at home mom who lives in the sticks) If you're about to sign a lease with this company, DONT DO IT!!!!

I rent from a property that is managed by Goodale&Barboeri. I would tell anyone who is thinking of rent a property from this company not to. They like to shuffle people around from one Person another in hopes of confusing, and belittling the individual. They have also lost money orders throw the mail, and told me it s my responsibility to 1, make sure it got there, then two to pay it. Not once offing to help me in any way to resolve the issue, as well as leaving all me.
It seems all they do is collect the revenue. Not once have the managers been out to inspect any of the properties, moreover they do not maintain, nor do they fix problems. I wish I could afford to buy a home. I wish those who ran this company could live as we are forced for just one day so they might be able to feel and see what we do as tents. Oh but I forgot they don t care about anyone, but the owners and making money.

SHADY BUSINESS! These people do not stand by their word and have caused nothing but a giant headache! I can not believe this is the way they treat people. 6 months after leaving and no contact with them this place tried to screw me over for their mistakes. This is the most crooked business I've dealt with i would never recommend to anyone! thanks for wasting my time!

The property I'm at is nice, but it's starting to decay because there's no maintenance done besides weekly lawn mowing by a contractor.

Goodale & Barbieri seems to only have 1 maintenance person on-call for all of their properties in the area (I know of at least 4), so nothing gets done quickly. It takes a week or more to get anything fixed.

The property manager here is very passive aggressive about doing her job. There's a quote from a book I read once about a performance review: "...This individual performs best when cornered like a rat in a trap..."

I'm having to post on an anonymous account since if my name was tied to this, I'd probably have my rent increased, or be evicted.

I have lived at Woodstone Community for 3 years. Harlan Douglass and associates. owned and managed this property when I moved in , 2017. Just recently, Goodale and Barbieri took over as property management. Nichole, the onsite manager is awesome!! She comes here on her days off since the transition of management companies, mows the law herself, picks up garbage left by certain tenants, AND, does all the office work. I have had a MICE INFESTATION in my apartment for 1 YEAR!! . Nichole has been there EVERY STEP OF THE WAY , and she bought traps, and electrical devices, OUT OF HER OWN POCKET to help me!! I have SO..... MUCH DOCUMENTATION ( photos and written documentation)!!! .If Goodale and Barbieri want to try and make my life minor miserable, then we will have to go to court, and prove my allegations through pictures and written documentation!!! I WILL WIN !! If they try to evict me , or not renew my lease, I WILL take them to court!!! Enough is enough!!! STOP BLAMING THE ON-SITE MANAGER!!! I
only gave Goodale and Barbieri 3 stars because they only took over this property a couple months ago , so I want to see if they are just going to continue giving LIP SERVICE , or are they ACTUALLY going to START doing their jobs??!! I've read all the posted reviews, and have come to the conclusion that they are excellent at LIP SERVICE!! HARLAN DOUGLAS AND ASSOC. left you with a butt load of problems ( that THEY are responsible for)!!!!! Prove to me , and ALL of your tenants , that you are not just LIP SERVICE !!! co Nichole is the BEST manager I've ever had , in the 30 years that I've been renting!! I know that nichole has sent SOME of my pics to HARLAN DOUGLASS, and has been in communication with Goodale and Barbieri about my 1 YEAR infestation. I'm saving ALL of my documentation!! We're honestly surprised to see how many people are not happy with Goodale & Barbieri. We think it's not fair to judge the whole company by one department or broker. They have multiple brokers and multiple departments. We were honestly blessed to have worked with Bob Spooner in their commercial real estate department. He was not pushy, very professional, knowledgeable, and very experienced. He was very patient with us through the whole process and helped us find the perfect building for our business. Not only did he find us exactly what we needed, but he helped negotiate a great contract with our current landlord. We would highly recommend Bob Spooner to anyone that is looking to find a solid commercial property. - Max and Ella

It's obvious the owners of Goodale & Barbieri have no intention of firing or even disciplining Kim Conway or her sidekick, Deanna Dillinger (property manager at several of Goodale & Barbieri properties) They are evil and they are just nasty, disgusting, dispicable beings. The saddest part of all is that these "people" own and rent properties that are designated for SENIORS AND THE DISABLED COMMUNITIES!! THEY ARE TREATING OUR SENIORS AND DISABLED INDIVIDUALS LIKE DOGS!! REMEMBER THAT WHEN YOU READ THESE REVIEWS. WHAT KIND OF COMPANY CAN OVERLOOK AND ALLOW "PEOPLE" LIKE KIM CONWAY AND DEANNA DILLINGER TO REMAIN ON THEIR PAYROLL?? THE OWNERS ARE JUST AS BAD, IF NOT WORST, THAN THEY ARE.
This company has been in business in Spokane for decades. What is it going to take to PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS?? IT'S A FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS AS WELL. Look at the profiles on their website and pay close attention to who is really in charge...men that carry the same name as the company. Can you imagine what THEIR mothers n fathers must be thinking of their children and how they are running their families name thru the mud?? It's all just shameful. The only way to stop them is to run them out of business. So please...keep the reviews coming!! They are all NEGATIVE anyway. Eventually it is going to interrupt their cash flow in someway.

I was a resident at the Evergreen Apartments for about 3 years (simply because I was a college student and couldn't afford to move out of them at the time). I saw A LOT while living there and could provide you with some pretty insane stories but I'm going to leave a simple pros/cons list-

Pros: inexpensive rent, close to downtown/great location, free street parking and my packages were always safe/never stolen

Cons: the property was not taken care of, dog poo and cigarette butts scattered the property, zero updates on the apartments, aggressive dogs and terrible pet owners who never pickup after their pets, extremely dirty apartment property, they don't offer AC and you're not allowed to put the AC units in your window, I tried to rent a larger apartment for 3 years but was told me there were none available even though I would see posted Craigslist ads. Lastly, they will rent to pretty much anyone... I'll leave it at that. I became pretty good friends with the neighbors next door and they also agreed with me that they let some pretty "trashy" individuals live there (hence the insane stories).

Management was fine but I also paid my rent on time, kept to myself and kept my apartment very clean.

I love the property I rent at Latah Valley Vottages, but the management is awful. I received an eviction after they received my rent payment, we are constantly having to call management to deal with potholes in our driveway and a drainage issue because driving by just to see the outside of a property they manage once a week is too much to ask. I have had to check with them several times regarding my rent payment (when they will be depositing my payment) and all I get is rudeness on the phone. Common decency is also too much to ask for.

I'm lived in Northridge court, this is one of neighborhood of that owner.
My complains:
-they don't send me contract still (Lived here from November 2014)
-Administrator not available most of time
-give me debt notice and want charge me for $100 because I'm late in payments
FOR HALF DAY (as Administrator said last day of my payment should be friday 6th of March, but I remember Administrator Kia said me you must pay for your apartment before 10th of every month ! )
At morning Monday I got overdue payment, so guys may you can wait a little or send some notice before like bank did it ?

-they can't open for me electricity account for 3 month, after some delays they open but I received HUGE bill in one time - that not comfortable for me, I had plans in my budget !

I have no contract and remember Administrator Kia said me you should pay before 10th of every month that why I don't hurry up a little early, so sad... and not honestly !

Pluses of place:

Forest around, quiet place, not bad neighbors, not dirty inside, give first half month free.

Minuses:

Cold houses, walls like empty, huge electricity bills for heating as result.
No security
Administrator not available most of time, grass not in good condition in several places, no body care.

This company manages aloha pines manufactured park in elk. We have lived here since March of 2014. All seemed well to begin with, however over the last few years it went down hill fast. Nobody is there to take care of anything. The pool is hardly ever swimmable do to water level is always to low to skim and who wants to swim in a green pool...absolute disgust. The manufactured home we lived in had tarps on the roof 1 month after moving in and still do to this day. Severe mom in garage do to the roof leaking, the master bedroom leaked severely over the 16-17 winter and nothing was done to dry out the master bedroom that the wall and carpet were soaking wet. In July we were told that we could not resign a new lease and that we would be on month to month. As of 8-29-2017 I turned in a request for repair to the on sight mngr who returned my request an hour later with a 30 notice to move. So yourself a favor and do not get involved with g&b....severe slum lord mngmnt company!!!!!

You would do yourself a favor not working with this company. Just look at their RATINGS, its 2.1. Kim was our property manager and she did nothing but put my family and I through stress. she even called us names. She never fixed anything in the house. She is rude and yells all the time. They made our life like hell. I hope that you're reading this and never deal with this company.

Anytime you call the property manager she either doesn t answer or gives you excuses to why the plows haven t showed up. No one takes initiative to do anything. Very displeased renting from them.

My name is Zac and i was at the Dresden on Monroe. Upon moving out they decided i owed about $600 for a phone jack replacement that i never used, a slit in the linoleum that i made note of upon moving in, and for a titled medicine cabinet that was broken upon moving in that i wish i made note of. I was also apparently charged for crumbs left in the fridge, chips left in the cabinet (there was no chips in the cabinet) and said i provided no 20 day notice upon moving out. My contract explicitly stated my contract will end on day X unless i chose to renew. I'm terribly disappointed in the service i was provided considering the rent was overpriced for what i received. Would not recommend using this Company if possible. I've heard of them gouging people in the past, but figured it was the tenants mistake. That doesn't seem to be the case. I would happily give a 0- star if possible. Not only was the condition of the place horrid when i moved in, but i suspected considering i was basically in felony flats they knew the place was nothing special. Instead it seems i've been charged for everything all the past tenants couldn't uphold. The quality of the apartments are terrible, the front door is supposed to be locked at all times to create a secure facility, and instead the the maintenance man couldn't be troubled to come fix the front door. so for 9/12 months the front door could be opened without a key. Everything about this experience was despicable and i will ensure anyone i know including myself, will never utilize their services again. I would recommend being homeless before going here.

Kim is by far the worst landlord I have ever dealt with. She is misleading, disrespectful and unprofessional. I work as a real estate professional and I have never seen such a poor performance. The fact that she is even in this profession boggles my mind. She will tell you one thing and then do something completely different than what she said. Her word means absolutely nothing. She is the definition of the landlord you never want to deal with. The way she conducts business is by far the worst I have ever dealt with in this field. Do not rent from this company. If Kim somehow loses her position I would consider working with this company again. But as long as she is employed there, DO NOT RENT, BUY OR DO ANY SORT OF BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! I've worked with the Goodale & Barbieri Company for over 20 years. I've always found them to be professional and focused on customer service. I'd recommend them for property management services, commercial leasing and property acquisition. They're very smart real estate brokers and represent their clients well.

The maintenance guy at Chewelah Manor has done a really good job on the snow removal this winter. He went above and beyond with the snow on the sidewalks. He also took care of all the snow over the doors. He does a really good job with work orders and repairs. We are lucky to have him at Chewelah Manor.

If I could give a 0 star I would! This was the worst experience I have ever had in the years I ve lived here. Tami Dolsan the Regional Manager is extremely rude and treats people like they are lesser than her. I suggest hiring someone more friendly and welcoming. She kept laughing in our faces about a serious issue! She kept saying that the balance we had wasn t her problem. And I am guessing it is since she does billing. She wanted to charge us rent for a time that we weren t even living there anymore. As well as she kept coming up with excuses on why we should pay her money that we didn t even owe. People work long and hard and they are not just going to give their money away! We tried to be friendly but she was like I said RUDE! We tried telling her to give us a letter saying that we were working on the issue to rent at another place or else we would be going to live on the street. SHE DID NOT CARE. She kept saying that she couldn t so we asked if there was someone above her that we could speak to and she kept saying no. If you are the highest then you need to find a solution!! If you don t want to be degraded or be treated like you are lesser than. DO NOT RENT SOMEWHERE WHERE THEY ARE MANAGING!! Tami especially will make your life impossible. My parents had to miss work and my sister and I had to miss school. I honestly don t know if it was because we were Hispanic but we were treated very poorly by Tami Dolson and based on these reviews I don t think we were the only ones treated very badly by her. I never want to step foot back into that office in my life. Absolutely horrible.
