Good Shepard Nursing Home Review

Started out great while working there. Loved my residents and most of my coworkers, but I unfortunately had to quit due to the clickiness and harrassment I experienced. It s horrible that some of the nurses act like children in high school. Your either in the click or not. Apparently, I was not...If you decide to work there; beware of juvenile behaviors from some of the nursing staff...

I am an employee and I will have to say Good shepherd is the best around!! Caring for their patients and residents is top priority!! I love going to work everyday!! Such an all around awesome experience !!!

Went with a friend to visit her husband @ 4pm. . We were able to take him outside to enjoy that beautiful sunshine!! The resident dinning room was decorated for fall...everything was very clean and the staff was right at the front door.. taking temps etc. before you could enter. They were very pleasant and efficient.

High class nurses and options for living and the food is acceptional -- cooked by real chefs. Except, I fear it may be too big and with too many small rooms for residents to feel completely comfortable. I would suggest finding a smaller nursing home if you are really worried about your grandparents' or parents' overall mental and social well-being.

Good Shepherd took excellent care of my grandmother during the last years of her life. They were so sensitive and kind to her and our family throughout her decline. This nursing home is greatly appreciated by our family!

Good Shepherd Nursing Home is one of the top nursing homes if you have to place your loved ones in a nursing facility. I worked there as a CNA for 6 years and it was a wonderful place for work. The workers are the most wonderful caring faculty with the residents. If you ever had to trust someone to take care of a loved one this is definitely a facility that you can trust. Also they have daily activities for the residents to try and keep them busy and moving. There is daily mass and exercise here. I couldn't say enough good things about this place. Also the residents who stay here are the best. I give this place 5 stars and would give more if I could.

I used to work here at good shepherd, in regards to someone who may like to place a family member in rehabilitation please note, the facility does NOT care about the 5 star reputation until state comes in to observe. They short employee of pay. And they are EXTREMELY short of aides to take care of your family. Please consider another nursing home.

My mother in law has been ill since Easter. Her last months were spent at Good Shepherd on 1 South. I was an RN for more than 40 years and the care she received was wonderful. Dorothy McLaughlin was a beautiful soul and found the good in everyone. Thank you for your kindness.
