Golds Gym Review

Total scam!!! I've been a member of Golds for 10 years, and my wife has been a member for almost 5 years. Golds updated their computer software and as a result canceled my wife's membership, and did it without contacting us, Ever. When we attempted to address the issue they tried to increase her monthly dues from $40.00 to $80.00 dollars... The Manager JEFF told my personally that we could reinstate the membership and everything was due to the software update. When I went by the gym to pay and update everything he refused to allow me to keep the same membership, and insisted that I sign a new contract at over twice the monthly rate. This guy is SNAKE! I've heard other member complain about him but never understood why until now... The members make the gym, and this guy doesn't appreciate his members. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! TOTAL SCAM. As a result I am canceling my membership as well.

Absolutely amazing place to train. Keep in mind the folks complaining about it being older and no frills are right, this isn't Equinox or Lifetime. This is the kind of place you will love if you want to be inspired by men and women putting in hard work, and to see people who truly know how to work out. Come here to learn, and take in some great energy. My Wife and I came here for our honeymoon and have gone everyday. The area is not ghetto and not scary, just a little run down like all beach areas are everywhere. Definitely a 5 star experience.

Pure nostalgic value, expensive. Nice little shop though.

Visitor 40 $ is a little expensive, but I think people who are doing muscle training should go there. There are a lot of people who have never seen a machine or a size that I have never seen.

The Mecca the place you have To train at least once in your life particularly if you're a bodybuilding enthousiaste. Real training atmosphere there will help you To attain your goal and the crazy equipement !!!

Great place to get in some wright lifting before hitting the beach. The location couldn't get any better.

I've been going here for several years now. I usually get my workout in as this is a good sized gym with several machines and lots of weights.
Parking is easy and plentiful. The sides of the gym are large garage like doors which roll up and open up the sides of the gym for good ventilation.

Charging Lee Priest $220 to train there for a week,....WTF is wrong with you people!...You lost all my respect, it's pathetic!!!

This is the place to go if you love bodybuilding. The gym is pretty old and dirt, the machines are not the newest but you ll fell stronger there. I give 3 stars because the day pass is 45$, just for a day

Definitely a tourist rip-off.

We went here 3x for two and got a total of $ 150 !! paid.
This is really a lot for this studio.
Although it has its own flair and suits Venice Beach, it is always completely overcrowded and far too unsanitary for European standards.
Too bad, we would have expected more: /

Everything everyone says is true. It's grimy and full of cavemen... but I love that. It IS the Mecca. That could be a turn off for some. If you don't like meatheads, then go to PF. If you like getting a vibe that makes you get after it, then this is it. It's contagious. You really do try to up your game in there; men and women alike.

Love every second I was there. Only the one day pass was expensive but it is the Mecaa.

This is my home gym and, I love it. It's a serious body builder's gym. The members are of all ages and the vast majority are nice. We get lots of tourists, body builders and film & TV personalities coming in for workouts.

It's always fun to people watch here.

Don't be afraid to sweat when you visit!

Excellent gym. If you are not Californian you can still enjoy your holiday during this mythical room for 40 dollars a day or 150 on 7 consecutive days very friendly staff, very good equipment, shop inside.

No fancy amenities, but a great vibe and committed bodybuilders and fitness freaks

This is not equinox. Don't expect fluffy free towels and steam rooms. But don't expect stuck up attitudes either. The Mecca may be filled with strong men and women, but they are some of the nicest folk you'll meet. i'm there every single day, sometimes twice a day. Training for myself and teaching group exercise classes. Spend even a small amount of time there and you'll realize how lovely the members and staff are. No matter what size or fitness level you are, you will be welcome. No better way to get motivated.

Can You Just Tell Me the Membership fees of Golds gym for one month it would be great then because I m gonna join this gym.
