Was told over the phone I would be eligible for a 3 day pass at no cost. Drove over an hour in LA traffic to get to the place, only to be told I would have to pay $40 for a day pass. Customer service horrible

Never been there before but I find it disappointing that somewhere that claims to be the Mecca for bodybuilding doesn t know who Brian Shaw and Eddie Hall are. It s a shame to see what was once an establishment become just another planet fitness gym. Buzz feed is just down the road so I shouldn t be surprised.

A great and motivating gym. With more equipment than anyone can imagine. Surprisingly clean locker rooms. Unfortunately, I had to knock off a star due to the dissarray mostly from the clientele. Weights were everywhere and in no order and most if not all equipment was left unracked. Also bring a towel, I didn't see many sanitation stations.

Been coming for years to Venice from Las Vegas its always been 20-25$ for a visitors pass. But I came on April 6th 2019 an they are charging 40$ a day pass which is ridiculous. So we are headed to Metroflex long beach. For me and my Lady we have to pay $80 it's a group of 4 of us so it's a no brainer. In Las Vegas we have visitors passes for 20 for passes. We have way better gyms with more I understand the history of this place. But not worth 40 to train for a day. I love this place but I will be parting ways with this place. Firehouse will still get my money to eat

We travel to California every 3 months for business and always do a workout here except for this time for they have jacked up the day pass from $20.00 to $40.00 per person!!!!! That is ridiculous!!!! We have been working out here for years and now I will NEVER go back!!! People DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! The gym is really is not worth the $40.00.

Being an athlete and going to the Gold Gym for the first time as experience and they wanted to charge $40 and they didn t even let me to entwr in the gym to get to know the gym the guy that was in the reception was so rude! I know how big this gym is for all the stories that it brings but I was hoping to see more kind people there. Unfortunately I don t intend to go back.

Had such an amazing time at the world-famous Gold s gym in LA. Glad to be able to see it and witness wood has been around for more than 50 years. Great atmosphere and so much history in that place. Was great to walk around and see all the posters and pictures on the wall of all the competitors all the way back to the 1960s. Amazing location and hope it stays there for another 50 years

I find it difficult to lift anywhere else but here. My first gym I lifted at in 1993. You don't need a pre workout to lift here; the history and total hypertrophic feel of this MECCA will be enough

This is my go to gym primarily because it is the place to be for anyone dedicated to fitness. Most members are there to work hard which has its own unique energy. It s often very crowded which makes it difficult at times to stick to your workout plan, but there s ample room and equipment to find another machine or improvise. The front desk staff is hit and miss in terms of being welcoming and the bathrooms are often dirty, but if those are the highlights of complaints, then I think the gym is pretty on point. Parking is often a HUGE issue especially during peak hours. Be prepared to park a few blocks away.

Awesome gym. Greates atmosphere I have experienced and every machine you could think of is available. The little outdoor sequence is also very nice for some lifting under the sky. Minor downpoint is the expensive price.. 100$ for a week or 175$ for a month is heavty.

I wanted to see how Gold's is handling social distancing and taking care of its members. They checked temperatures upon entering, they blocked off every other equipment to social distancing, no water fountains. Overall I was impressed. Golds isn't known for being a "clean gym" or a "pretty gym" but it was definitely much cleaner than before Covid!

I am an amateur bodybuilder who loves the classic scene and have been wanting to workout at this Gold Gym for years. But it was $45 just for a day pass! I could not afford that much classic bodybuilding.

Arnold's gym! Even if it is not the original. The real gym has now become a home ... And it is located a few blocks away. The gold's gym in the imagination is as seen in American films. Full of people who train and get physical. There is also a small area that sells the brand's clothing. The monthly cost of the gym is 30 dollars (if you make an annual subscription) ... Prices are quite cheap compared to Italy. But there is the possibility to make a daily to try the drunkenness of the .. I have been there! For about $ 40

Solid gym, can be a little over crowded and parking isn't always easy. But friendly staff and they have really been working to keep the place clean and all the weights in the right spots.

I was down in Venice for a few weeks and needed a place to lift, and it was the perfect time to check out Gold's. Since I was only in town for a while it was perfect to be able to buy day passes since I only went a handful of times.

My favorite parts about the gym was the workout equipment that they have outside and well as the overall weightlifting atmosphere.

Downsides in the short time I spent going here was that it seemed to get a little overcrowded at times and could use a bit of a cleaning.

A place full of history for those who love bodybuilding. Training here is to savor the true value and sacrifice of those who have made bodybuilding a legend. You can see if you are lucky with the PRO training, which is well worth the $ 40 for daily entry.

This place has turned into a planet fitness like gym. Stupid rules for a place that is supposed to be the Mecca of bodybuilding.

Also, these idiots use Lee Priest s pictures on the walls but still charge him 40$ a day to come here as a guest. Staff here is stupid, he should charge you for using his pictures.

No other place can you bump into Lou Ferrigno (TV's original Hulk), 40 year old stunt women with eight pack abs, and every other serious athlete or wannabe in California. It's a vein popping classic!

Gym itself is one of the best I ever worked out at . Yes it truly is a West coast Mecca of bodybuilding , not what it used to be in the '90 though , but $40 for a days pass and $38 for a simple T-shirt that's just shameless because in the end ... it's still just a gym . Staff at the front desk is pretty arrogant with no personality , that make it seem like they doing you a favor taking you money . I'm sure it's just a matter of time before everyone will catch up with BS and switch to another good gym in the area .

The Mecca! 5 stars for the magical energy that lives here. I ve trained at gyms all over the world and there s nothing quite like this place. There s truly something special about all the different types of people that come together inside these historic walls. I do wish the gym would update some of the equipment. A new Nordic curl machine and some new Kettlbells (from Kettlebell Kings) would be great. Overall, it s all about the vibes. Anything (and anyone) is possible at Gold s venice!

Worst experience at a golds gym . If you have a pass go somewhere else . The staff is extremely rude and arrogant. Also they won t honor any other golds gym pass if your coming for a day visit.

Extremely sweaty inside. There is no air conditioning, and it feels more like a sweat shop than anything else. Please work out once in the gym before getting a membership. The equipment is not clean either, not cleaning equipment or tower services provided.

Regional Vice President Josh Fuglsby of Gold s Gym West, it is your fault for charging a bodybuilding legend Lee Priest hundreds of dollars to workout! And why do you guys even honor him on your wall with a huge picture???
