We stayed here for our wedding. Our wedding was in another venue, but the Golden Nugget had the best rooms in the Freemont Street area and we are glad we made the correct decision.

It's old vegas. Go, its a better time than being on the strip.
We visited the casino. The building is a bit older feeling than the hotels/casinos on the strip but it was very cozy. A nice change of pace for Vegas.
We ate at the Asian restaurant Lilianns. Was excellent. My wife had the beef chow fun, and I had their clay pot house speciality. Both were awesome. Seemed pricey till we say our dinners, then was more than worth it. Our server, Adam was great. Good time here.
Had to use the bathroom and wandered around for 10 minutes trying to find it.
The pool makes this place. We were in the Carson tower. The bath tub had rust spots in it as well as down the outside. Our Room was nice and large. Even though the view wasn't the greatest while we were there, there is the possibility of watching events that go on in the field across the way.
Only want to Freemont Street. Tried to park at the Golden Nugget but they were only allowing hotel guests.
Another fine Hotel Downtown Freemont...all inclusive. Only drawback is too many people...pool is generally overcrowded..
Great Casino! Loved the pool and being right on Fremont was the best. I am never going back to the "Strip"...
Stayed in the Golden Tower! The room was Outstanding! They have a great club upstairs Troy Liquor Bar that overlooks Fremont St. Service was excellent at the front desk. The property is amazing! I cant wait to try out the water slide that goes through the aquarium. Old Vegas is way cool!
Extremely dissatisfied With things Stuck in the elevator On the 23rd floor. It took at least 10min before anyone responded. I won't ever go back or recommend Golden Nugget
I stayed at the Golden Nugget this past week. There are many room options and I thought I had upgraded to a room that had a coffee pot. I was wrong. I booked the Carson Tower which was a very nice room, but no coffee pot. The room does come with a blow dryer. Iron & Ironing board. Complimentary water each day. The room was very comfortable with a King bed and a very nice bathroom. The shower was excellent. We had a very pleasant stay with no real issues. Convenient location on Freemont Street. It is a well run hotel with alot of restaurant & bar choices. Located close to the Fremont experience within walking distance to many attractions
It's the best hotel casino in Fremont St. It has the shark tank in the pool, and it's right in the action of the Fremont experience. We went for dinner. The food and service was excellent! Then we gambled a little too, and the dealers all had great personality.
Great spot for fun. Check out the slide through the fish tank!
We ate dinner at the buffet and thought that it was expensive, but it also was seafood night.
The casino was hoppin and lively, kind of hard to navigate but manageable once you roam around long enough.
All in all a very cool experience.
Favorite place to stay and Gamble...Very Clean, FANTASTIC Restaurants and Love the Service @ 46..Adrian is an Awesome Bartender..MY FAVORITE PLACE IN VEGAS
Really smoky. We were in the non smoking tower besides the casino. There was an award convention we did not know about. So it was packed. Shut down the buffet for them. There was no signs or anything saying this. So we tried to take an elevator to the floor. Our room card would not work. Then we asked the man who was in charge of the elevators. He said that's strange. You should get your card checked, and just take the escalator. When we got upstairs there was a security guard up there. He told us that it was closed for the award ceremony. Thats why our card didn't work for thw elevator. Had a $100 stolen from our room made a report. Got an email a day later saying they did an "investigation" and could not find our items. Resorts fee totaled out to way more than what we were told they were going to be. Spent almost $1000 for five nights. It was ridiculous. Also.our remotes didn't work and We were suppose to.get 2 bottle waters a day. It didnt happen. We will find another hotel next time we are in Vegas.
I've been to Fremont St several times over the past 12 years but I never really visited the Golden Nugget. This trip I went in and was blown away at how beautiful it is inside. I will definitely consider the Golden Nugget on my next visit.
We visited to eat at The Grotto for dinner. Food was good, casino was busy. The people we visited stayed in the hotel and enjoyed the pool.
Classic golden nugget! Love Fremont Street and this place is about as classic as it gets. I always enjoy visiting and find their selection of slot machines to be adequate.
Such a classic place. I've been here a lot throughout the years and I'm never disappointed. If you're visiting, make sure to get your picture taken with the million dollars!
Wonderful and friendly staff throughout. Excellent pool! More than enough entertainment here to keep you busy all week! Right on Freemont for an even broader experience!
One of my favorite places in Vegas. Always a good time.
So at the urging of a coworker that has been here a bunch of times I decided on this visit to Vegas to try it out. I never cared for the trashy crowd that inhabit Fremont street but I was really surprised at how awesome the Nugget was. Upon checking in to the hotel me and my wife were upgraded to a suite in the Gold Tower. I had booked the cheaper Carson Tower on Orbitz and was blown away by this. I guess because we stayed during the week they did this. Who cares why it was awesome. We had the shark tank pool talked up to us and it was definitely really nice though it was really crowded. Especially children. The adults only pool was even more crowded and there were no free lounge chairs to sit on so we turned around and went back to the main pool. The room was clean, the restaurants were amazing and affordable and I would totally stay here again. The only downside was Fremont street. The crowd there is just the worst. We did make our way down to 'Therapy' and that restaurant was amazing.
Had a good time but the waitresses could be a little nicer.
Love it!!! Staff is so nice. Gary the doorman is awesome!
Classic Vegas casino, still vibrant and beautiful after all these years. With the whole Fremont Street Experience, this casino should be on your list of destinations to visit when you come to Vegas! Had a great time.
The number one hotel on Fremont. They have a great variety of restaurants and a shark tank swimming pool with slide. The hotel is remodeled and beautiful. The staff is great and you can run up to your room easily if you forget anything while you're hanging out on Fremont. Very convenient, affordable and clean.
My spot. Great renovation. Love it. See you soon, Vegas.
Gorgeous, old school hotel. Freshly remolded and looking good
This is a must see (at night) when you come to Vegas. It s on the historical Fremont Street. The pool area is so cool with a water slide running through a large aquarium with sharks etc. And plenty of lounge chairs. Also there s a bar and poker tables right in pool areA. It s a little crowded in the casino...but the vibe there is certainly different than the main strip. We loved the lights (exterior) on this building:).
I went here to gamble with a few friends. Visiting this area is always cheaper than the Strip which I love. Didn't get a chance to access any other services but the casino was a good size. Basically what you'd expect of the older Vegas area.
Many people don't know but the Golden nugget has the largest golden nugget in the world. Stop in an take a look. It at the far back. We also stop to eat at the buffet up stairs and WOW it was amazing. There was much more to see but in the winter they close the pool area that surrounds a large aquarium with sharks.
I'm a players club member since year 2000 I've always had a nice, fun time in that casino ...good service , good games .
Keep up the good work !
Thank you
Stayed in the gold tower, 15th floor. Nice room, good room service, ok shower and beds were small. Worst aspect was it was loud as heck, could here everyone coming and going in the hall, and all the concerts vibrated the room. But you get complimentary ear plugs.
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. There was one elevator for 19 floors of people, the floor numbers were hanging out of the socket and there was no absolutely no parking for the hotel guests. I had to pay to park in the overflow parking for a different hotel. I complained and they totally blew me off. It was no way equipped to handle all the people it had. Do not stay here. The shark tank was cool except too many people you couldn't enjoy it. You can pay to enjoy the pool if you are not a guest. Stay somewhere else and pay to enjoy the pool if you dare. Room was barely average
There's a lot of good here. The amenities are clean and many. The pool has an aquarium which was really neat to see. Kid friendly pool. Free parking for guests. The food was delightful and there are plenty of staff on hand to keep the please clean and tidy. There were no smoking sections and security escorted an unruly man out inmediately. Things to note, a resort fee of almost 90 dollars that I wasnt aware of was charged. They also closed the parking lot and we drove around for quite awhile as the attendant stated we needed to park at the plaza(25$). Easy parking in the day, struggle at night. And be aware of fees and all things that come with resort fees so you can get your money's worth.
The room was very comfy and parking was free! I had a bit of difficulty working the shower which is why I gave 4 out of 5 stars. Also they were having certain renovations during the day which blocked some of the restaurants I was trying to get breakfast at.
Cool to see old school Vegas. Golden Nugget was nice and clean. I stayed in the casino area to gamble and had fun doing so. First blackjack dealer wasn't very social so that was rough, but the next one was. We had a good time
It was nice! Clean rooms, friendly staff & lots to do. The parking on the other hand wasn't so great! Had to park in a lot that was over two blocks away. I didn't feel to safe about that! They did however, have a pool that had an aquarium inside the middle of the pool with huge fish swimming around. Definitely something to check out.
The had this all you can eat buffet which was fabulous!
There was so much to do just in that hotel you barely had to leave
Good place to play in Fremont! I left my phone there and security immediately grabbed it and saved it for me.
Beautiful buffet restaurant & pool area 4 gambling!!
Great casino there's even a kiosk for you or friends to a picture and send to you're email or post it
Great place. Nicest hotel on Fremont. Good food and top notch service. The shark tank is amazing.
Great time gambling here! Super fun casino with a ton of selection. Definitely the most fun casino on fremont here.
I like to came tu golden nagged but I wish I can bring my dog
Great Hotel Casino located in the heart of old downtown Las Vegas. You will have a wonderful time and there is lots to do in this area.
I love this Hotel. Check in was easy, the Valet took our car, the bellman took our luggage which was nice after our long drive. The restaurants were great, food was delicious, staff is excellent. It's walking distance to Fremont Street and the Mob Museum. We had an amazing time!!
Room's and bathroom are clean but old and small. Still better than a motel 6..... Lol
Rooms and accommodations were clean and comfortable. We scored a view of the mountains as the sun rose in the morning. The tequila bar and Mexican food was delicious and we were seated quickly and had a chance to see a little bit of the baseball playoffs... it was a pleasant experience for my wife and I. The gaming was tough at first but there seemed to be a large selection of newer games... I had better luck later in the week:)) but either way, we liked the casino and hotel, and even brought some chocolate treats for my aunt to enjoy for her birthday. Check out the "Chocolate Box". Very nice.
Woohoo, what a great time, wont jackpot. The place is clean, ambient exelent is right on the old strip (vegas boulevard) non stop party, exelent time..
Stopped by for a dinner buffet while we were in Fremont Street. It was $25 a person. The place looked fancy so our money probably all goes to the decorations because the food was sub par l. I'm a vegetarian and was with some meat eaters but none of us liked the food. Save your money and go for a buffet on the strip, like planet hollywood. That costs as much but is better
Fun place! Great atmosphere! Free concerts in the summertime
Great hotel, very nice rooms, cleaned every day. Also good restaurants and an excellent venue for shows.
Surprisingly spacious rooms, friendly staff. No frills but good location
Pretty typical for a Vegas hotel. Certainly met expectations, just didn't exceed them.
Pros: The pool was impressive, and not overly crowded to swim. Great location on Freemont Street; close to many affordable places to eat, drink, and gamble. Club Floor room in Gold Tower was spacious. Casino seemed less smokey than many others (including the strip). Room, pool, and common areas were all very clean.
Cons: Mattress was old and droopy, which was surprising on a Club Floor. Pool area needs more shade, direct sun and 109 degrees is too much.
Overall, our expectations were met for a comfortable stay. Would certainly return to Golden Nugget.
Fantastic pool! Better than average rooms. Friendly staff.
Winnings here have been better than other casinos. Very clean and staff was extremely attentive!
This is a decent spot if you need a place to stay near entertainment. There are lots of places to eat and drink. The beds in my opinion are not very comfortable. They also have lots of rooms than do not have a t.v. with an HDMI input. It does have great accessibility. It is reasonably close to the airport as well. I have been staying here for business and overall I'm happy to stay here for the cost and convenience.
The hotel has changed a lot in recent years!
I stayed for work and we had a conference in their meeting rooms.
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Everyone should check out the pool with the slide that goes through a huge aquarium.
At night, the pool closes for swimming, but opens as a tourist attraction and lights up really nice. Plenty of options for eating within and near the restaurant. Gold Diggers is a cool option for a hangout spot as it overlooks Fremont Street.
Beautiful hotel and has Chick Fil A for us Hawaii Peeps who don't have.
Dined at the GROTTO, delicious freshly made lasagna, calamari, and stuffed mushrooms.
I actually went to Vic and Anthony's restaurant. The food was excellent, but an expensive dinner. So be prepared to have plenty of money, especially if there's more then one person.
Hotel was nice. Claim jumper restaurant was great, but the waiter spilled my wife's ice water all over her. They brought her a fresh meal since she had to leave and dry off, but I thought they would comp her meal. They didn't. The food was still good, but most places would have deducted her meal from the bill...
With the whole distancing going on, I LOVE that they let me hang out with my husband even though I don t play. With this whole 6 feet distancing going on, I can hang out with my husband, which is how it should be at other casinos, including the high rollers.
A little dated but nice. Great location on Fremont street.
Update: This review is only for the gondola ride which was fantastic such a great experience as if you are in Venice Italy. It's inside a mall area with different shops and eating places. They have outside rides also, but it was very hot. Never experienced a Gondola ride before loved it and would do it again...try it you'll love, especially the singing, I was celebrating my bday; he sung to me in Italian!
Decent room rates
Huge casino
Great staff
Drinks are free when playing, and not totally watered down
Pool is fantastic
Will be staying there
Love it ,nice and clean room and next time I will stop there again
We self-parked at Golden Nugget on a thursday night. Not a far walk at all. Walked around looking for a machine to play. Didn't realize it was Bike Week 2018 and there was a tattoo convention going on, as well. It was way too crowded so we walked down Fremont for a bit. Came back to GN and went to the gift shop and bought some waters for the room. If you spend $10 or more, they will validate your parking ticket for you. Otherwise its $5 per hour. I'm sure any restaurant on property would validate, as well.
The pool. Oh, my word, the pool! Right there behind glass on the ground floor. Even if you aren't staying here, get your swimsuit and head to The Reef. You'll have the best time ever.
1st time here but since we regularly visit the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, we felt right at home. The food within the Golden Nugget will never let you down. Clean rooms and professional staff.
Love this place
Rooms are very nice and location to Fremont street is a big plus.
Legitimately like stepping into an. Ok'd gangster movie!
It's good beautiful Hotel. The Rooms are very nice.
Great place if you want to see the old vegas. Lots of classics and wacky people
The room was great love the tub the view was amazing, everyone at front desk were so helpful, the pool was amazing, loved our stay it's been one of our best vacations, hope to stay again I highly recommend this hotel!!
The restaurants inside are very excellent and I give you huge amounts of food at a very reasonable rates
One of the best downtown hotels! I really like hanging out at the shark pool!
If you're a blackjack player watch out cause most of the tables only payout 6.5 cool casino. Didn't stay here but visited and played
Located off of Fremont Street, it's part of the original strip. Fun little place, has your normal amenities.
It's a Classic Downtown Las Vegas Hotel/Casino with a lot of Class & Pizzazz! A Variety of slots and Table Games. Numerous bars with gaming. Hotel very clean. Restaurants: Lillie's Asian Kitchen: food was tasty, with large portions, dining room - nice and airy, service was over the top. Claim Jumper: appetizers - good, entrees - fair, tight floor space in the dining room, service was fair. Nice pool area with plenty of loungers, Shark Aquarium - nice. I'll be visiting again.
Favorite hotel in Las Vegas. Will be staying here next time I visit.
