Worst hotel ever room crawling with bugs, happy to share pictures, absolutely no compensation or anything, actually security because I was raising my voice.
Inexcusable.

Inexcusable.
Semi comfortable bed. Bathroom was nice but thats about it. Executive suite had no mini fridge no coffee maker, disappointed in that!! No room service either. Wont be back, gotta have my coffee.
Love the aquariums/shark tanks there. Beautiful clean place. Love the buffet big selection of foods and friendly people. (But the name Golden Nugget??? A beautiful place need a beautiful name!)
Nice place with outdoor shopping. However, everything was closed due to the time and it week night
It would be nice if wifi were reliable ANYWHERE on the property. The SSID often disappears for minutes at a time. Makes it impossible to get work done.
Freemont street is a great place to gamble. Better rules and lower limits. At the golden nugget they have a great breakfast at the grille or claim jumper. If you stay there, the pool is fantastic.
Great hotel room and the pool was awesome. We booked a big cabana with several friends and it worked out fantastic.
One of the best in Vegas. Lots to do. Hotel is magnificent
Great venue. Love the pool and access to Fremont Street. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The price was right.
Claim Jumpers in the Golden Nugget was awesome. Pleasent and customer service was great.. Food is awesome
The Golden Nugget was a delight to stay at. Upon check in they asked up if we would like to upgrade for a small upcharge. The room was wonderful. I will say Fremont street is for sure an experience. Save your money on the strip and stay here. It's about a 10 minute Uber or a 20 minute RTC ride. The restaurants and bars are a delight. Get the upgrade, it's worth it!
I love the pool and slide in the shark tank. This is one of the best places to visit on Fremont
Great casino with plenty of fun options. Walk out the front and your on Freamont st. So much to do.
Ate at Vic and Anthony's. Had a terrific steak with excellent service. Would definitely recommend.
The pool and the service was top notch. They also gave me points on staying an extra night. Great rates n great food. Very cool Old Vegas strip.
This place is one of the reasons why I keep coming back to Las Vegas. Great place to stay in the middle of a resurging downtown area.
It s very clean and nice inside compared to many of the other casinos on Fremont St. Staff is courteous and knowledgeable. I can t give more than three stars because they ve changed their policy at the bars to only allow you a drink once you have played a certain amount of money in a certain amount of time. You could play more than $20, but if not done fast enough they re not allowed to comp your drink. Just not the Vegas it use to be.
Went to the buffet and it's always a pleasure eating there. The breakfast is always tasteful and fresh.
I always go just to gamble at the tables with my buddy. Always have a good time
The Golden Nugget is a downtown staple. It sits at the heart of the Fremont Street experience. It has a large pool with an elaborate water slide, several dining options and a spacious casino.
Rooms are nice but to much oxygen being pumped into the rooms you will not be able to get sleep. The slots are very tight and newer tighter machines have been put on the floor. The payout ratio on slots are at 75%, so beaware you will lose a lot of money here.
Room was good. Good food. Can't say the same about the front desk staff. Very cool swimming pool and shark tank.
Best time and so much fun!! The pool is spectacular!!
Nice place to stay, especially if you like to play poker. Very clean and great restaurants.
Unfortunately, we were very dissappointed that they have now taken away in room coffee machines so that that they can charge you $10 a day and $15 for 4 k-cups, on top of the $34 "resort fee". The wifi that is included in the "resort fee" was very slow so you can barely use any websites.
So the pool is closed in the winter months, so $34 buys you snail speed wifi and two bottles of water which they won't even bring you unless you expressly ask for it every single day.
My local Motel 6 provides that and doesn't charge extra for it.
As far as luxury hotels go, this isn't bad. The rooms are clean, the presentation is nice, & the staff is helpful. It is quite expensive though, but I guess that is to be expected in Vegas. You don't seem to get much for a basic room & the plumbing fixtures needed some work in our particular room. For what we paid, I expected better quality.
The casino area is far too loud, smoke filled, & crowded. Not much fun trying to navigate through just to get to your room.
Decided to try out their breakfast buffet because of the Great price compared to others. The food was all delicious just like most buffets they had everything from cereal and bananas to an Omelet bar. decided to get my money's worth and stick around for at least an hour and a half tried as much as we could and began our drive back home with full stomachs. I really like the view of the pool.
Disappointed in room. No coffee in the room. Better elsewhere
Absolutely love everything about this historic hotel, from neon to cheap drinks and games
I only played at the casino but it was so much fun.
We had a lot of fun splashing around in the pool and going down the tank slide. I like the freemont experience a lot better than the strip. Only downside is you can hear the music in your room till 1am. The staff was nice and the reasturants were clean. The buffet was a bit disappointing as well. All in all a great family location.
I love old town Vegas and the Nugget is a great anchor. If you haven't been downtown, you've got to make the trip. Much better than the strip.
We ate here it was a last-minute thing it was delicious
The rooms are very large with lots of room to move and get around. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurants are amazing. We didn t use the casino.
Good place to have fun in a casino without losing all your money in 10 minutes like places on the main strip.
I love this place it is beautiful and the pool is amazing
The Golden Nugget downtown Las Vegas is a classic casino hotel that has a lot of amenities. With it's shark tank pool area and a New Chick-Fil-A in it's Carson Tower is a perfect spot to get a bit to eat while you enjoy the sights near Fremont Street.
Thursday night was ok. People seemed well dressed and educated. Friday night the whole place was filled with overweight ugly people.
Poor customer service. Bathtub backed up with dirty water over night. No apologies. No offer to change rooms. We were quoted a price for our rooms. Paid for our rooms, but when we checked out we were charged an additional resort fee. Poor business when you are not upfront with what you are charging.
We got married in one of the suites. We left a list of maintenance items, small little things that had apparently not been reported and we didn't have time to deal with workers. Everything was very nice. Unfortunately, housekeeping never left coffee for the Keurig. Something else we didn't have time to complain about. The wedding planner, Silke Hunt, gets a thumbs up and the spa facilities are very nice.
Nice hotel. The aquarium is nice to look at. Gambling is more expensive than the other nearby casinos.
Just gambled for a bit. Clean and friendly atmosphere
Very nice n clean rooms... Didn't win a lot but didn't really lose a lot either...
Great food options. Great slot selection. The shark tank is cool and being able to ride a waterslide through a shark tank is an experience you won't find anywhere else!!
Plenty of stuff to do here.
I have had nothing but s excellent experience at the Golden Nugget for the last 30 years I would recommend a hotel to anybody. But the CW needs to get a little bit more polite to minorities
My favorite hotel downtown. Its beautiful with great amenities. The Italian restaurant is to die for!
Room was clean and we'll maintained maybe a tad on the Spartan side. Disappointed by the lack of a mini fridge and coffee pot. There is a reason they provide ear plugs because there is a concert venue right outside the window.
Was a really busy but was a weekend
Wonderful hospitality. Kimberly Ann at the front desk upon check in was a complete doll and gave us all of the instructions and info that we needed. All of the staff was friendly and accommodating. This was our first trip to Vegas but will not be the last. The Golden Nugget has earned our business and we will stay with them in the future. The rooms were spacious and clean. Everything we expected and more.
Nice room. Good service. Cool pool. Shark tank in the pool.
It was a nice place games were fun the atmosphere was nice
We went here to gamble. Definitely more affordable than the strip. I was gambling for a few hours and spent quite a bit of money and couldn't get the waitress to bring me a drink. Otherwise fun place to go.
I guess with the pandemic it's difficult to get even satisfactory service. Our room wasn't stocked with the correct number of blankets for the beds. We had to call down for toilet paper and towels. Our room keys didn't want to work half the time. The bathroom sink had something black on it which did wash off. Not all the elevators were in operation. The one good thing was the water was hot!
The best place downtown but does not compare to the strip.
One of the nicest casino downtown, great pool with exotic fish and shark's good restaurants and great customer service, parking isn't free unless you gamble or have a players card and if you walk out the door of the front entrance you see the great Fremont Street experience
This place is truly a gem!! The hotel is located in the heart of the Fremont Street Experience. The hotel staff is so nice and friendly. Housekeeping did a wonderful job each day of our stay. We will continue to come back to the Golden Nugget Las Vegas!!
Stayed in the Carson Tower & it was quiet. Probably the nicest hotel downtown. Good restaurants, not fond of buffets but ate there once for dinner - feel their buffets are over priced compared to other hotels downtown. Resort fees are ridiculous everywhere & should be included when advertising rates as this really adds to the price. All rooms should have a coffee maker without charge! Vegas is getting way overpriced!
Plenty to do and see. The room was great and comfortable. The food and service at the Grotto was outstanding. But the food at Claim Jumpers needed some improvement. I will return here in the future.
This is the only hotel in Vegas I stay at. Always have great customer service here, rooms are clean and the pool is the best!
Will be staying here in the future. Really fun vibe.
EDIT: I finally booked a room here. After a long flight, I checked in. They had no rooms available despite my reservation. They said I'd get a text letting me know when the room was ready (3pm at the latest). 3pm rolls around- still no room. No offer to comp a meal or drink for me. I'm still waiting around. Really unprofessional and disappointing.
This has to be one of the most service oriented hotels that I've visited in a long time. The room was sparkling and spacious! From housekeeping to room service staff the workers are amazing! Security was well aware and kept people from going upstairs without a room key by elevator which I appreciated! I look forward to my Vegas visit next year and will CERTAINLY stay at The Golden Nugget.
Never been to Vegas and tell my 40th birthday. Chose to stay at the Golden Nugget. The manager at the counter even upgraded my room for free to the Carson tower. The room was super nice and the beds were very comfortable. We will be back
The casino area is kept up well, pleasant and pretty. There is a sense of elegance to it that I was not expecting in a "downtown" casino. The area was packed on a Saturday night with a crowd of all ages. Honestly, the tainted view of downtown is not to be trusted. We found the location clean, vibrant, authentic, interactive and safe.
Beautiful place right on Fremont Street. $$$. No free coffee or anything for that matter
OK and clean but safe did not work and they never fixed it....
Had to call to get coffee maker to work. Person came up and was
very nice but he just showed me that you have to slam it to get it to
work. Also you have to pay for coffee $10 for 4 K cup pods.
Cadillac Bar is best place to eat and for happy hour. Their breakfast
sandwich at to go location is great and a bargain for amount of food you get. Don't get the $6 tacos.
The food was great. I felt it was worth the price I paid. The atmosphere was on the quieter side of Vegas which I enjoy.
Loved visiting the shark tank. Would like to stay here
Nice atmosphere. They have remodeled the casino area and it looks nice. They got alot of the modern slot machines, which is unusual for old vegas.
Beautiful, clean, staff was great. The spa was amazing.
The newer tower is nice (Rush?) the Gold tower rooms where ok. Cannot speak for the older tower rooms. Pool fun and casino updated.
Cheap and they run specials all the time. The front desk was friendly and fast. We stayed at the Carson Tower, and it was on par with hotels on the strip like the Luxor and New York New York. The buffet was really awesome and not that expensive at all. Loved it!
Great place to stay, fantastic service and amenities. Was a great weekend away and I would stay again. Only issue was a concert that occurred directly outside which, even though the windows were closed, we heard loudly and clearly. We weren t made aware of this concert at booking and didn t know about it until it started. That explained the housekeeping staff leaving ear plugs on our night stands. Not a good surprise. Fantastic location though, so close to everything!
Brought my father in law for his 70th birthday and although it was during COVID and alot was closed, we had an amazing time walking Fremont Street and gambling. Hotel rooms were very clean and the poolside was breath taking with the shark aquarium.. the poolside help were a little over the top with their mask regulations since we all were outside but I'm sure they were just doing their jobs. Can't wait to return
I stayed there not as a guest but as a gambler. Great service! Also, they have a buffet restaurant upstairs with great food and friendly staff
So fun & Exciting place to be. It's location is Amazing for Night life and Day fun centrally located to so many great restaurants
Ralph Desanctis -- absolutely one of the very best at customer service! Golden Nugget is my favorite in Las Vegas!
First time in Vegas, and staying on Fremont was a great idea. The golden nugget is really nice, lots of restaurant options, a nice looking pool, and lots of drinks and gambling. On top of that as soon as you walk out onto Fremont street you've got street performers of all kinds, lots of boutiques, some decently priced souvenir shops, and plenty of places to get a drink. The only down side is that everything here is extra. No free coffee, no free wifi-or that I could figure out anyway...but beyond that its great! I mean I'm pretty easy to please though, so I can see why some of the other reviews might disagree. But as long as i got somewhere to keep my stuff and bed to sleep in after a day of adventuring i could care less about the other stuff.
I went for the buffet but it was busy and hectic to navigate. Best part? They gave Chic-fil-et!
We were so excited to stay here as we usually stay on the strip, but I can't tell you how disappointed we were. I bought into the gold tower deal but we still could not believe that we could not use the pool after 10 p.m. or anything for that matter. The front desk staff were very nice. They know what the people want and they have no control on whether they can give it or not. The valet guys were not personable. I wonder if they realize how many tips they are missing out on? Just because you don't drive a Bentley doesn't mean you don't have a pocket full of Benny's. These hotels in Vegas have to understand that people are on holiday and want to use everything they can for as long as possible while they are there. I know the idea is for you to take out your wallet and throw away your money gambling but it would be nice if the other amenities were available to you to keep you there.
It's been a while we enjoyed our stay we stayed at the old end of Las Vegas I would not recommend it for children but we had a lot of fun
I should've got a refund. Rooms are stripped, no ice, no convenience machines. So much smoke in the casino its unreal. They are more concerned about your mask being completely covering your whole face then customer service. I will not stay here on my next trip. Their ventilation sucks. They should have the hall monitors work the front desk, that way everyone would know how they'll be treated and not stay.
