Great amenities, Fremont street right outside, great outdoor bar and bartenders
We made our reservations 2 weeks in advance tried to get first floor or third my wife is claustrophobic they put us on 13 could not get another floor all the room smell like cigarette smoking the room had no fridge no microwave no microwave coffee pot I would not stay there again
A good place to go for lower min on table games. 15 to 25 bets the 50 to 100 on the main strip.
Wasn't a guest here. Just passed through and did some drinking/gambling. I played blackjack, so that's what my review has to offer. I played in several casinos during my stay but I'd have to say that the dealers here just seemed fed up. This is just my experience, but the staff at other facilities were far nicer and helpful.
Pretty standard as the rest of the casinos. Free drinks, but they do expect a tip
Hubby and I went to the casino for some gambling action.. Was busy but fun. Ended up at their steakhouse...Vice and Anthony's which was to die for.
Located in the heart of old town Las Vegas. This is a prime spot to people watch because it can be quite strange out there sometimes. It is the nicest Hotel in the old part of Las Vegas. Rush tower is my personal favorite here.
Good solid place to stay. Good restaurants inside. Quite rooms.
I always liked this hotel. It's not the most "glitzy" in L.V. but it still fun. Very nice in the the simmer when you can sit poolside under the stars.
Had a great time on Fremont street drinks dancing and food and gambling at the Nugget great time
Nostalgia of old Vegas. I would have gave five stars if I had gambled and won something.
Cool area. Walked under the canopy. I liked how the casino opened up to canopy and all of the others did as well.
Nice casino, drink service is not as great as others like the D. Very slow and rude drink servers
We love the Japanese restaurant Red. Super great food and great prices for happy hour. You must go.
2nd best to The D maybe even tied .... Either way a great place!
Location was perfect for Fremont Experience but elevators and housekeeping was another story. I had to call down to get someone to come service the room, when they were right across the hall when we left, and it took 4 hours to get someoneto show up. Elevators was like riding a theme park ride and getting stuck seemed like a norm. Pool was always packed with a line waiting to get in.
Great place with amazing staff! The nugget may be older but it s still a great place to stay on Fremont st.
A good place to go away from the Vegas strip, it's in the older part of downtown and in the middle of Fremont Streets Experience. Good quality buffet are much cheaper here than on the strip. The room rate here in these downtown hotel is much less expensive than on the Vegas strip and especially during a major convention. The rate tend to skyrocket on the strip by 3x the normal rate during the CES convention as an example.
I will be coming back to this hotel again. It have everything here or around it
Golden Nugget has the BEST pool on the strip & the best food. The atmosphere is always pleasant. I truly enjoy playing here.
The Fremont Street experience has gone downhill, with very loud music, but we enjoyed the casinos. They have a zip line, if you like that kind of thing.
Very good hotel/casino. Interesting area around building.
Nice room, comfy bed, awesome pool and amazing buffet. Plus the sushi was delicious.
Great casino. Check out the shark tank bar. It has an aquarium with reef sharks.
the grotto restaurant is one of the best we have gone to downtown
Bed was comfortable, I really liked the bathroom layout, secure elevators are appreciated...
My only complaint was that the promised water bottles were never delivered, but I didn't realize we were supposed to request them...
Room was really nice, stayed in the Rush tower. Completely smoke-free, which was great because I don't smoke.
Old town Vegas is a blast and Freemont Street has jamming bands for your entertainment and much much more..
Great place to stay when in Las Vegas. Close to so much fun. Greatt food and responsive service.
Has one of the better pools in las vegas, but they charge for parking
Gambling only...got lucky on the penny slots playing with $20. Casino had better complimentary waitress drink service than the big resorts on the strip. Had fun here for several hours, but Freemont St. turned into a wild zoo breakout after the sun went down.
Always a great place to visit when in Vegas because of it's glitz, history and all around neat place to see
Beautiful hotel and great location for experiencing all Vegas has to offer, from dining to gambling to entertainment!
This place was fantastic. But, tiring. I walked from one end if the strip to the other. There was so much to see and do. Entertainment from street players , vendors of various wares as well as concerts going on inside of clubs in the casinos. Plenty of table action, and store's galore. Multiple eaterys, and the over-head sky rides, it was a blasts.
Checked in, they gave us a DNR room so 3 hours later we moved to another room , it smelled of smoke. Housekeeping supposedly fixed it following day....not!!Complained again, to no avail. Won't be staying there again, even though I used to love this place, we got a 4 day raw deal...
Great location. Spacious room. Few outlets are a negative. Fridge and coffee maker not provided.
On fremount experience street. Very unique and old. Too much smoking smell.
Went down Fremont street and found the Golden Nugget. It was lit up beautifully. We went inside and played for a bit. It was nice and clean. Going down Fremont was a bit crazy though. I had a hard time finding a waitress for drinks. The bathrooms were really nice as well.
Great experience at the Golden Nugget. Really enjoyed our stay.
Rush Tower is nice and quiet. But the separate check in is never open. The clerk said that the water in the room was free. Maybe he meant tap water because there was no bottled water in the room. $20 room service coffee is ridiculous. $36/day resort fee is unconscionable. $15 for a glass of wine at Grotto. Even though I was on an expense account I couldn't bring myself to pay some of their ridiculous prices.
The shark slide was awesome!!!! The service at the daybeds was awful. Took forever to get any type of service.
Nice not the same from years back when there was more gold inside but is still a good spot for enjoying
Great place to stay. Free parking, a bunch of restaurants, gambling, great rooms.
I will stay again. First time off the strip. Was really surprized. Best food at the nugget.
Easily the best hotel in downtown Vegas. One of the oldest properties, so there's a lot of history here. It's upscale, but it still has that old school Vegas charm.
Worst hotel in Vegas they lie about their rates and they have little to no customer service. Horrible rates would never come back to them again.
It's a casino hotel. They are all about the same. Same goes for the casino. They are all just an exhibit of depraved American maximalism.
The Hibachi Grill was awesome, great food and great service.
Pretty impressive. I was hesitate to stay at the Nugget. But can I just say. Wow. .. Nice staff. Updated rooms. Had a great time in the pool too. Thanks Nugget for a great time.
Maybe my wife was there. I wonder who she was with. Love this phone that tracts every movement.
This hotel is our favorite downtown, rooms and bathrooms updated, clean, really nice. Stay here 2 times a year or more. Always fun to walk the covered downtown area and see the sights as well as light show and ziplines right outside the front door! Numerous restaurants just steps away.
Great staff, good range of tables. Awesome location. Room was incredible. Only thing I could complain about was on the first night we asked for a cot and never got one even when we asked a second time.
Classic Vegas charm, park valet, and get a suite(presidential/penthouse).
Thank me later..
We had a very comfortable room here, everything was clean and fresh for us. The pool was really cool, it has a giant saltwater aquarium in the middle and a waterslide that goes down from the third level deck through the aquarium. Access to Fremont Street was really convenient too-right out the side door!
I didn't stay at this hotel so I couldn't get it give it a 5-star but it's real nice and clean
The place is old and ran down not as clean or new as some of the other casinos.
THE GOLDEN NUGGET BUFFET IS EXCELLENT!!! THE ATMOSPHERE AND SERVICE!! THE WAITERS, WAITRESS . . AND THE MANAGER MADE OUR VISiT UNFORGETTABLE!!! WILL ALWAYS COME BACK!!
We attended the Fremont street experience and made a quick stop through the golden nugget for drinks. Clean, organized and beautiful hotel it turned out to be. I'll visit again in the future.
It was very clean and the workers are helpful and have happy attitudes. I was please with my visit and well be returning on my trip.
I normally love the golden nugget but today it was over crowded and and extremely smokey. I sadly had to leave.
Great room stayed n 926 on the check n tower it was great the check in desk was great and all was good. I just didn't like the lines when it came to getting food on the casino floor.
Reserved a king bed with roll out. Arrived and they said they only had double bed rooms left. Making a reservation they claimed only reserves you a room and not your choice of bed. I wish the button holes would have said that when I called and made my reservation to ensure we could get a roll it bed. Guy at check in wouldn't help with anything. I do not recommend staying here if you want a king bed. Rooms are average budget hotel. Pool area is neat. Something is wrong with the tap water, everytime we turned it in the whole room stunk.
Stayed in the Rush tower and absolutely loved our room. Wonderful place and vibe. HUGE room. Lots of great little extras like toothpaste and travel toothbrushes, which was SO helpful since I had forgotten mine. Check in was quick and the you d man at the desk was extremely pleasant and fun to talk to. Will definitely stay here again.
I got to the golden nugget, and was informed my reservation was not going top be honored. (Made over 2
months ago. They claimed they
hadgasgiven me the wron
g rate for the weekend and bit it was going to be an extra $200 a day extra per room. That's $800 I had not
planned on. Booking manager said, take it or leave it. Thanks, for the sevice.
Nice place, nothing like a classic. Played some electronic roulette, it was cool.
It's older but clean and the restaurants are good. Fremont St. is right outside and lots of fun.
Light show Zip drive experience. There is some construction repair work on the roof so not the full lights show at the moment.
We ate at the Hash House a Go Go... That was AWESOME! As far as the hotel, it smells... It's old. It's what you'd expect from that part of Vegas
Gambling was cool. Super slow drink service and the cocktail servers were less than excited
If you want a taste of Old Las Vegas this is the casino to check out. Just like in many of the movies is on Fremont Street near the Neon Cowboy. If if you visit during the day Fremont Isn't So glitzy but nighttime everything turns on. The casino is open and you can feel welcome as you walk by. Unlike the casinos on the Strip is not flashy but the slot machines are there to draw you in. If you are into poker you will recognize these tables you probably seen them plenty of time on TV. If you don't like walking you don't need to here. Old Las Vegas at its finest.
Good place to stay we paid for upgrade to newly remodeled rooms .
If you end up checking in late because of your airline flight, you'll probably get a smoking room! Which is pretty gross if you're a non-smoker. They promise they'll change your room the next day, but you still have to deal with it for a night. Accommodations were decent; had a little sofa & ottoman in the room. On top of the daily rate fees, they charge a "resort fee" plus tax which ends up adding over $30 to your bill a night & gets you 2 bottles of water. Does NOT include coffee in the room, even thou there's a machine but you can, however, buy 4 Keurig coffee pods for $15. Cool fish tanks by the pool and behind one of the bars. Small taco/tequila place in the building made really good tacos. Frozen margaritas were delish. The location was ideal. You walk right outside and you're on Fremont Street which was very interesting, especially at night! You're very close to many restaurants, it's down the street from the Mob Museum, which is pretty cool. It's right across the street from tixs4tonight at the Four Queens - which is where we bought the tickets for the mob museum & the Rolling Stones exhibition, which was GREAT! Close to everything you'd need.
Vegas Trip. We love staying at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. Great Place to play and Great Atmosphere.
The Golden Nugget doesn't care about it's hotel guests. They resolutly refuse to strike a deal with the concert venue next door to lower their volume by 20 or so percent. The sound shakes our hotel room! They claim they don't have the power to make them do anything. Oh, but here have some earplugs.
This proves we care about your health and well being.
ABSOLUTE COP-OUT! THE HELL YOU DON'T!
You have the power to do something about it but why bother. Your guests comfort means less than nothing.
Great room, friendly staff. Really the only thing that we didn't like was no fan in the bathroom
Loved it. Super clean, not over crowded. Great experience
Too smoky. I went to several casinos and this one was difficult to handle.
