Hotel is very nice and the rooms are nicely remodeled. Great swimming pool. DID NOT LIKE THE SMOKE. They have a very nice buffet, lots to pick from and made to order omelets. Other restaurants as well. Location is right on Downtown Experience. Would not suggest taking kids there. You can walk to lots of nearby places. Check it out.

I gave 2 stars because service was not that great I found that majority of the workers had bad attitudes especially at the card tables, Also they do not clean ur rooms until you check out which is a big no no I understand the need to be safe during covid but not cleaning rooms does not make it safer we were booked from Wednesday to monday and left on saturday checked into another hotel , I definitely will not be back to this one.

Friend and I paid for a room. Both are names on it. I give her half the money we spilt it. She gets drunk kicks me out and they tell me I had to leave cause her name is the main one cause she booked the room. When we check in they gave her 2 keys she didn't give me a extra key. She gets drunk and kicks me out locks me out takes my things and put it in a bag I call the police she calls security they come up and says she has a right cause she the main one cause she booked the room. I paid for another one that was 170.00 and freeze the phone don't work I did try to call the guy came in to fix it the next morning. Front desk tells me I should have tried to call I did the phone did not work. He looked at the phone had to put it on speaker tell the front desk the phone was not working. Had to put new batteries in the thermostat I was freezing last night.

My favorite hotel to stay at when I stay downtown. It's also the nicest hotel to stay at. Stayed in the gold tower this time, I prefer the Rush tower in case you're trying to decide between the two! Love that these rooms come with robes and slippers! The shower was great. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms.

Absolutely horrible service. We waited 30 minutes for bell service to get our things. We asked to do it ourselves and were told No. This is a part of our customer service . It has now been 1 hr 40 minutes and we have not received our belongings. In addition to not having our things, security and maintenance have not returned to fix the lock on our second room because the manager neglected to call them after we had to wait in line for a second time to correct a mistake that HE made. Because that wasn t enough, there was dirt in one of our beds.

It's a nice place to stay if you're planning to explore downtown Las Vegas instead of the strip. The room was decent.
But the House keeping kept knocking on the door like five times during our one night stay and one of them even opened the door with their card key without knocking while we were in it.

Golden Nugget really raised the best when it came to building an all-in-one Resort. The beautiful Hotel and Casino is located downtown which makes it nearly impossible to miss if exploring the famous Fremont Street experience. Highly recommended by locals this is a must see for any Vegas traveler.

My husband and 3 kids (13, 5, and 1) stayed here this past August in the Gold tower, room 721. Checked in on a Thursday and late check out on Sat. Naturally, I read up on the reviews months before our trip and was a bit worried based on the reviews. I made sure to book a room once someone could confirm that the shark tank was indeed open and going to stay open. They actually got us in our room before noon and we didn't even ask for early check in. It could not have been better. The room was perfect. The beds and bedding were so comfortable and I'm never fond of hotel pillows usually but I wanted to take these ones home. I wish I had pictures, but my husband took some but ended up loosing his phone. We we're fairly close to the elevators and for sure I thought some noise would be expected, but it was so quiet. The room did not have a fridge, but I knew before hand and even with our kids we managed just fine. The one thing, but major for me, was the terrible selection of TV channels. I know most people don't visit Vegas to watch TV, but when you need it, you really NEED it. And if you're with kids and you're not at the pool 24/7, the lack of ZERO kids channels will drive you crazy.
Pool and shark tank are awesome. Slide was great, not for me, I'm a chicken and it was kinda fast. It was pretty busy, but we had rented a Cabana for a day on a Thursday and it really made for a great experience. Also, I was super impressed with their Mojitos! The menu is pretty pricey, best bang for your buck is the nacho appetizer. It's HUGE. And very good. My kids loved the Mac n cheese bites and chicken tenders. The TV inside was great with plenty of channels for kids. What's up with that?! We ate at the buffet for lunch and for the price it was better then I expected. The dessert bar I still think about. And the made to order cheese omelette I had. We also ordered Claim Jumper but picked it up to eat in room, we all had steaks. The filet and sirloins, and they were pretty damn good. Another good bang for your buck. When we checked out, i noticed the hotel was packed. There was a big event that night so it's understandable, but I was thinking how glad I was we stayed when we did. I think if you happen to go when the timing is right (which you never really know) you can have a really great stay.

The stay was nice.want to know why I was overbilled.desk clerk said one thing but the charge is completely different. You were paid for three days we didn't even stay there yet you charge me double what you said.and 34 dollars a day for two bottles of water which we didn't even get every day is a bit ridiculous fee to charge for a spa and pool fee I wouldn't swim in to begin with for free.will be waiting to hear from accounts department.my stay was from August 22 thru 230 am the 27.in room 2175 in the Carson tower.

Love the location of the Nugget on Fremont street. Clean room but showing signs of aging in the Gold Tower. The hotel also smells of cigarette smoke including our smoke free room, though the longer we are here the less we notice. I wish the resort fees were just included in the room rates instead of being collected upon check out. Not sure if it's worth the higher rate when it's too cold to use the pool.

This hotel is hands down the best of the best in the Las Vegas Area. The hotel and property is 4 star quality all the way but at a 3 star price. The restaurants have lots of variety for date night (Chart House) anniversary special occasion (Vic and Anthony's) to savory Italian sit-down (Grotto). Also has latin inspired restaurant (Caddilac Bar) + family favorites (Claim Jumper) and the buffet upstairs. The casino is expansive and full of variety. The pool is the best not only in Vegas but possibly on the west cost. It's a mini amusment area with slide and shaded areas with plenty of room for sun taning. To top it all off there is free valet and free parking during your stay What's not to love???

I used my membership from Golden Nugget Lake Charles at the Las Vegas location to get a GREAT deal on a room. The concierge was friendly and helpful. I recommend checking out the H2O pool. The aquarium is something to enjoy.

One of the worst hotels I have ever seen!
The free wifi speed is 1MB and then they charge you if you want more speed.
We booked it through Hotwire and they gave us the worst room (smoking) and then when I told them that I am allergic they agreed to give me another room for a higher price.
The room itself was too dirty and had to ask them to clean it again.
Do not recommend it at all!
Do not waste your time and money on this hotel!

The only reason we were at the Golden Nugget is because they have a Budget car rental desk in the hotel. The experience was still great. We passed through the casino, and noticed a huge aquarium that had some sharks swimming inside. The direction signs in the hotel were easy to navigate, and we found the rental desk with ease because of it. After going through the paperwork, we exit the front of the hotel and go across inside the parking structure to retrieve our car. Very easy and nice experience the whole way.

We stopped by the Golden Nugget after walking Fremont Street to check it out. It stunk, it was dirty, and our bartender was unfriendly. Maybe this is the atmosphere they're going for? That rundown, dingy vibe that one thinks of when they picture classic Las Vegas. It's not very appealing. To top it off, they charged me $4 for a club soda from the soda gun... Come on.

Stayed in Rush Tower. Will never stay at this location again. Lock your stuff up!

Long story short, caught housekeeping staff going through & stealing our stuff.

We had two days of our trip that we spent almost half of our day dealing with this situation, created by Golden Nugget staff.

As we were leaving, I further expressed our concerns to Manager Aldo and other employees, however they did not care, because we were leaving and would be out of their hair!

As for the rest of the review of the experience...

Well...the above pretty much ruined our entire trip. Anytime we were in the room, we made sure to double lock the doors for fear of employee retaliation towards us while we were there.

We packed and unpacked our room every day, so nothing else would be taken or rummaged through. That took time to do every time we left and got back.

We left no food or drinks out for fear of contamination to those items, since we did not know what else the employees might do to us.

After that initial incident, our bed would be made, but we might get two towels one day, three the next. Restocking was very hit or miss.

It just made for a very bad experience and we will never be back there again. We will also tell everyone we know, choose somewhere else to stay. There is no customer service at this hotel. They know they have a captive audience and will be gone in a short amount of time and then after that they don't have to worry about you anymore...instead of trying to regain your business next time. They could care less!

We knew we had to worry about pick pockets and thieves while we were out and about, but didn't realize it should be a constant worry from the hotel staff.

So...the rooms in the Rush Tower are large.

They are surface clean, but need a good deep cleaning. The main walk around area is vacuumed but the edges and corners are dirty.

The towels and linens were clean.

The bed was comfortable.

There were not a lot of outlets for you to plug in charging devices.

The rooms were very quiet. We only heard other guests a handful of times and that was the neighbors slamming their doors as they went in and out.

The room we stayed in had a tub/shower combo. The tub was high walled and since I'm short, I had to be very careful getting in and out. The floor of the tub was slick when it was wet and soapy.

So there's my review..

I anticipate some snarky response from Golden Nugget management on this to point out how and all the things we did wrong and a sorry for your bad experience but come back and we will try to make it right...

Well to that I say you already had more than enough times to make it right and didn't.

So... I would use extreme caution when choosing this hotel.

Hotel is in a good location for Ole Vegas and the room was a nice large room in the Carson Tower but it has no bar fridge and coffee was $2.50 US per cup a paper cup and powder milk, if they want to charge that amount for coffee at least give us proper milk and if I remember Vegas is in the dessert so why cannot they not provide a bar fridge??
Service was ok but the girl at the tour desk helping us with a Grand Canyon tour was hopeless, did not know much about the tours and wanted to take our money before ringing to the tour company with further information. No refund if that tour did not suit us either. Should have found a tour outside in the streets.
Will not stay there next time, I will pick a hotel in the strip again.

I really like this place! They have a nice location and the pool and hot tub are great! The rooms were very nice as well. Really a good place to stay! There is also a 21 and up hot tub, a water slide through to the pool with a HUGE fish tank in the middle. The pool area also has a bar which is very nice and lots of lounge space. They have nice shops in there and really good restaurants. I definitely reccomend this place.

My wife and I celebrated our 35th wedding annivers...

My wife and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary, so I booked a suite on line. The photos of the room I chose were different, they had a microwave and a refrigerator this one didn't, but thats not all, the front desk agent, a disinterested young woman, sent us to the Carson tower, when our room was in the Gold tower. Then after carrying our luggage all over, we reached the right room which if you remember was not the room I chose. We had a beautiful view of the air conditioning duct work. The bath tub drained extremely slowly. We wanted to have a romantic dinner the night of our anniversary in the room, but was not informed that room service was not available. No maid service, not even a coffee maker. Then to top it off, the room's sound proofing, proved inadequate, especially at 3 in the morning during the week. I chose the Golden Nugget, because of it's Image and history. I truly wanted this to be a special occasion, but that ship has sailed. Another icon bites the dust.

I recently returned to the casino after not being back for close to a decade. They have remodeled the entire casino and it is impressive, very nice place to stay for reasonable prices. The place to stay on Fremont.

Perfect location, very nice hotel. One but very big problem: no double glazing in the rooms, the noise is really annoying. They provide ear plugs instead of making the rooms sound proof. Not going back
