This place is old Vegas and charming. However our room smelled of cigarettes and it seemed to be in the bed. The cleaning staff were great to advise where to go off the beaten track and where to check out locals hang-outs. Staying in this location makes it easier to get around by foot. If you are taking cabs you may want to consider Uber or Lyft. They are much cheaper.

Amazing how this Las Vegas legendary casino keeps being updated and how pretty t is...especially in the otherwise grunge of the Downtown/Fremont Street environment.
Beautiful pool area, nicely updated and well appointed interior of the casino and dining areas. Holding up well...Vegas Strong!!!

This is a really nice hotel. Rooms are not new but are clean and well maintained. The beds are quite comfortable. They have a fully complete breakfast buffet for $16 per person. Parking options include valet parking and free self parking. I would stay there again.

Old school Vegas at it's best. Didn't stay here, but played here and won so that definitely earns an extra star! Haha. We ate at the Mexican restaurant and it was pretty good. Not sure if I would stay here ever, but it definitely has that old school feel to it.

I had booked the rooms so that my son and I would have a room close to each other but we are not. I thought the hotel would have a little mini fridge in my room but it does not. I was so hungry when we walked in we signed up for some little gimmick thing and I thought we were signing up for a hotel room I was so distraught. The room is clean and spacious, and the staff are very helpful.

The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino is a great place to check out in downtown Las Vegas Fremont Experience.. it is part of the Vegas history and the hotel and casino has been updated to give it a modern and contemporary feel inside...the hotel has some nice restaurants good bars and a really cool outdoor pool area that has its own little aquarium. The gaming is pretty good which is another reason I like hanging out there sometimes..it truly is a cool place to stay and play

Love love love this place. I hated the room they put me in when I got there. So I complained a little, and they gave me a two room suite for only 50 bucks more for 3 nights. I was very pleased

I was surprised by how nice this place is. I honestly didn't expect much with it being located downtown.

Well, the Golden Nugget is pretty awesome! It has obviously been renovated. And looks nothing like the outdated dump I had imagined.

We had a nice room. Comfortable bed. Courtesy ear plugs. Bath tub.

The restaurants were really good. Different cuisines and price points.

The pool is pretty awesome. A waterside through a shark tank?! I'm in!

Staff were nothing but helpful.

We love to stay here and have been for the last 8-10 years. They have exceeded our expectations everything. Friday and Saturday are way busier than other nights. Restaurants are outstanding. Pool features an aquarium and waterslide, also gaming tables poolside.

The hotel is beautiful. Lots of attractions. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is accommodating. Elevators to the rooms are quite far from the check in desk and somewhat confusing. They do have smoking rooms. Right out the door is the Freemont experience. Slots are TIGHT. lol

We went to eat at Claim Jumper restaurant inside the Golden Nugget. On the way we passed an inside aquarium that had a shark and other salt-water fish. Surrounding the aquarium there was a pool (closed for the winter, I think, so you couldn't get very close to it). It was pretty nice anyway. I didn't really stop to gamble so i don't know too much about that part. The hotel appears clean and well-kept. Something to keep in mind if you stay here -- the noise level in the rooms facing the Fremont Street Experience can be pretty loud at night. The security guard gave us easy directions to get to Claim Jumper. It is towards the back of the Golden Nugget. The service at Claim Jumper was okay and the food was good. We ordered the filet mignon and the Loco Moco. Families are welcome at Claim Jumper.

We have been here since Friday, no toiletries in our room, no maid service, we have no clean towels. Went to the front desk yesterday and asked why, he had no idea. Still today NOTHING!!! I have always been a fan, after this trip, not so much.

Entering the Golden Nugget property is easy to get to from the freeway but once you get to the front of the hotel you are met with three driveways and the driveway but you need to cross a double yellow line or go another few blocks and make a U turn.
We ate lunch at The Claim Jumper, excellent food good service had to wait 30min. to get our food. We were there because The Golden Nugget has great concerts featuring bands from 60's and 70's. Check it out.

We stayed for 4 days.. The service at the front desk was friendly when checking in and out.. there were 2 days where our room wasn't cleaned.. and they charged us a Resort fee when the pool wasn't open. I would be more inclined to be accepting of a resort fee if there were better perks.. brunch buffet was over priced for mediocre food.. however I did enjoy the accessibility to freemont from the casino..

All right, I went to the Golden Nugget about a few weeks ago. As soon as we entered, I was astonished about the massive amount of people. On our first day, we tried to go to the pool but it was ridiculous that the pool closed so early and only adults were allowed from 7:00 p.m. Also, the hot tub was only allowed for people over the age of 17. RIDICULOUS!

As always it was a great place to hang out and have fun. But this this time the bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable. Also after the second day we quit receiving our complementry bottled water. Also it was hit or miss on weather we got wash towel or hand towels.

Once we figured where to park, we had to ask where we check in at. We started with a corner room which would not cool down. We texted maintenance and were given a different room that was smaller. Very convenient to everything downtown. Beds were comfy and so were the pillows.

My family recently had a family celebration here for 47 people - A wedding, landmark birthdays and blessings. Met a new cousin with the miracle of DNA. We had lunch at the Grotto it was superb.Thank you to Jennifer who helped plan this, the manager and waiting staff. The food was great and the presentation was excellent(most beautiful cheese cakes). The staff when you arrive are superb. Got out of the car, the guy unloaded us and told us he could hold the luggage until check in time. They let us check in early we just had to wait for a room, they texted as soon as it was available. We had a small issue with the room AC but it was fixed right away. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful and courteous. The table dealers are always nice and helpful, if you do not know how to play they will help you. If you make the wrong play they will let you know next time what to do. All you have to do is ask them for help. The Bosses are the same way very nice and helpful. I love staying at the Golden Nugget. If there is one thing I would change, it would be try to do something more about the smoke, it was a lot worse this time than other times I have stayed here. Other than that Awesome job Management and employees, I will be back soon.

Not impressed with dealers. 3 car poker dealer took my money while I was ordering a drink at the table without giving me the chance to look at my cards. It was then a winning hand and I was not compensated.

Very clean and nice staff. It's definitely busy but probably not as much as those hotels and casinos on the Strip. The access to Fremont Street is nice. It is also easy to access the Strip by taking the Express bus, which is $8 for 24 hours.

Beautiful place but not efficient. There with large group. Rooms not ready for hours after check in time. Broken refrigerators. The staff who helped us were very nice and did the best the could with what they had (or didn't have)
