Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (NPS) Review

This place is gorgeous. I personally dont like the water or boating much so it isnt to great for me. But the views and sun are perfect. Its the beat place for some good photography and a lot if historical sites. If youve never been id never discourage anyone from trying it. But for myself, its just not my cup if tea.

This place is awesome if you dont mind the heat. Really hot in the summer, but super fun cooling down in the lake.

Amazingly beautiful! I love coming here to relax and watch the clouds float by.

Loved this place. You can stand at any place and look for hundreds of miles. So clear visibility.

What a beautiful place. The dam is amazing, and full of information. The tours sound great.

Limited menu for lunch. Burgers and fries. Fries were really good

Bryce Canyon and grand canyon are more beautiful, but if you are there anyway

If you have not been to Lake Powell I suggest you find a way. It is life-changing and truly a rare peaceful vacation.

Nice place but a bit expensive to get in. 30 dollars.

We only made it to the Hite area on this trip but it was just beautiful to drive through! Lake Powell no longer makes it to Hite, but the area was amazing to see how nature has taken back over from man's development. It's well worth seeing that area.

The place speaks for itself. However, if you ve been there at least 3 times then it s time to pay for a walking canyon tour.

The views are amazing. The display is nice but not enough activity

Loved the scenery!! Breath taking. It was a quick trip through glen canyon, but would like to take longer trip just to take in all the beauty.

wonderful visit with a young and very good team to adjust the smartphone for photos. I recommend in the morning very early, less waiting.

Great boating! Beach camping! Lot of sandy areas to beach your boat.

A good place to take pictures and it has a very beautiful view from the top to see Horseshoe bend

Was NOT disappointed! Gorgeous views! You even get a bus ride in to the trail and it was a nice walk to Horse Shoe Bend

Warm water, warm weather, beautiful red and white cliffs. It is busy at the south end of Lake Powell because it is so awesome. If you go, be respectful of others. Watch for the wake-free zones.

Beautiful place but be prepared for a deceptively LONG walk from the parking lot to the Colorado River overlook.

Horseshoe bend is sick! About a 20 minute hike back from the parking lot, not a bad walk at all! Watch your kids by the edge!

We came across this place by accident whilst on our way to Horseshoe Bend. Free car park, gift shop, restrooms plus a good viewing area and history of the area and dam. We did not join the tour but we did watch the free video which was informative.

I wish we had more time and could have joined the 45 minute tour.

A pleasant place to see but it is not tell me what impressed me the most what I saw more beautiful and more magical personally it is nonetheless a superb place there is visited according to his tastes when visiting California

It's a place that I had never been to and got a chance to spend a few days there. Saw Lake Powell and some amazing boats at the marina!

Great place for both swimming and kayaking. Water is clean and the rocks are beautiful.

Lake pell is beyond amazing only by God's creation. If you camp at Stanton creek the prices for camping or a little lower but the biggest thing is you can get right on the beach.

Interesting and beautiful landscape. Crosby canyon to warm creek bay is a surreal experience that brings you to the refreshing waters of lake powell. Bring your suncreen and water. No services and the climate can be harsh. Parts of this trail is for 4x4 vehicle only or hiking.

Beautiful and the water is like bath water in the summer months! Loved it.

We took the boat trip. It was informative and the kids could get out and play around in the water and on the beach. The end spot had a great hike, tons of info and a great place to use the facilities. Easy to navigate for parking. Beautiful views of horseshoe bay!

Gas station chap is very friendly and nice. Fresh water and dump station. The park itself has seen better days but that's what we like about it. Uncrowded and lonely in June. Perfect!
