So much to explore all around Lake Powell. Visit horseshoe bend, to Lone Rock, to Rainbow Bridge and more. Breath taking views all around. Lake caution driving off road, high clearance vehicles likely required. Lake lots of water especially in the summer.tou could spend days here and not see everything.

This area is beyond words. It's a step back in time. It's nice to go somewhere in this country and see a lake not littered with houses. Granted, the lake is man-made and undoubtedly some amazing things are underwater. Remember to respect the area, clean up after yourself, and enjoy what a great area this is.

Nice place to visit. Camped at Lone Rock on the beach early April '19, in our Extreme RV and Expedition built Tacoma TRD Off Road. Thunder showers in the area kicked up nice sand storm. My fault for opening 2 awnings and flying 2 flags . Deep sand in places so be careful. Drive at own risk! Had to winch out Dimitry with his Chevy truck and Joey camper. Lucky for him I have a big winch and MaxTrax. Lookup M&M Overland Adventures on YouTube for more beautiful places to see.

Very helpful rangers who will give you all sorts of ideas and precautions on hiking trails. Come by before you set out on your adventures. Also lots of information on how Dams work. Great views of the dam itself as well.

Nice boat-tour through narrow parts of the canyon (high walls on both side of the boat).

The info about the Glen canyon through the sound-system wasn't really loud. Hard to hear.

Water/thee/lemonade freely available on board; Only the boat tour itself is far from free...

Very Hot the end of October. If you come in an RV parking is way up a couple of steep hills. You then must walk down to be able to go into the Hoover dam. If you take a guided bus tour , I noticed they park pretty close. There was no way we could do all that walking, much less in over 100 deg temperature!

A surreal experience (I kept imagining being in an episode of "The Walking Dead", with the hoards of people gracelessly ambling to an uncertain destination). Bring some kind of tripod for your photo apparatus. I wish we had binoculars. Take a thousand pictures and just be ready to delete 980 afterward.

Beautiful landscape preserved. This is only a 15 minute journey, So if you're passing through, it's worth stopping. During flood season this is magnificent, but in the dry season you see all of the algae and aquamarine colors. TAKE WATER, people regularly collapse from the intense heat here. The views are spectacular.

This is the administrative building for the national park. Not sure why they put it on the main Street going through town with lots of tourist tradfic driving by. Worse yet, there is a very large sign that leads you to believe there is a visitor center inside. Employees are sick and tired of the public stopping by and let you know it when you enter. Disappointing experience here to be sure, keep driving!
