Food was good. Service... Maybe it was the waiters first day, issue, but he wasn't all that good. A manager took over and things improved substantially.

Small but great menu. Service was fantastic. Nice atmosphere.

Great atmosphere, the service is always top notch and the food is delicious. We eat here often, it is one of our go to restaurants.

I went on December 5, 2019 with 3 other people. We had a reservation at 7pm for a group of 4. When we arrived, we stood at the door for 15 minutes because staff were setting up half the restaurant for a Christmas party. After waiting 15 minutes, we were told we could go to the bar while we waited for a table. This has happened at other restaurants before, and usually drinks are on the house as an apology. Nope, not here. After sitting at the bar for another 15 minutes, we were told we could sit at one of the high bar tables where the Christmas party would be held. We should have left at this point, but my friend said she didn't mind.

After more waiting, someone came around to ask if we were told the specials. We said no, and she acted as if us being there was an inconvenience for her. She left WITHOUT telling us the specials! Someone else came around and finally told us the specials and took our orders. We got our food and drinks while sitting in the midst of a company function. This company party was also a stand and mingle type function, as ALL the chairs on one side of the restaurant were removed (except for ours) so it was pretty awkward. The party got really loud so a staff member said we could have a table on the other side of the restaurant soon, as another group was leaving. A few minutes later, we looked over at the table she had said was to be ours, only to see another group being seated there because the staff member forgot! We watched for another table to be free, and asked to move there when one opened up.

By the time we were finally seated at a proper table away from the party, it was 8:30pm (our reservation was for 7pm!). Not a single staff member actually ever apologized to us that entire evening. We were given a free cookie, but that was only because they were being served to the company party on the other side. There was nothing taken off our bill either.

I understand that December is a busy month for parties, so they should have told us we could not get a reservation and that would have been fine. But they gave us a reservation and then moved us twice, and it took 1.5 hours to be seated properly! We got fish tacos, steak, pasta, and sausage. The food was mediocre and not worth the price, or the wait. Highly disappointed and will not be returning.

If you are truly Korean foodie, you d 100% appreciate the food and services from this place. The owner put lots of effort in this restaurant. The portion is very decent with the price, and if you like eat healthy, this is the place for you. I like their soup, and one of their rice beverage. You gotta try it, it is soooo delicious, I wish they can sell their rice drink in bottles.

Great beer and wine selection . Server was attentive and helpful. Went on Wednesday which was pizza special. Between the group of four we had all three types of pizza. All were really good. Also had the smoked salmon spread which went over great. The only issue we had was partially our fault and that was it was pizza special night and we didn't get the 1/2 price discount. We never checked before we got home. Id still go back any time. Enjoyed the evening.

Nice little spot. Was great to see it being full on Friday night, good sign. Staff was great, the kids literally fell in love with our hostess and the Shirley temples. Pizza, burgers and fries hit the spot after a long day.

Love the lemon pudding in the mason jar. I like the other desert on the plate which i posted on pics. Their small plates are good. Friendly staff

My wife and I had a very pleasant evening at the Glass Monkey. The food and service were great.

Ordered curb side pickup as well as some TGM DIY and pantry items. Pickled beets are amazing!

Any of their smoked meats are awesome as they smoke them themselves. A good selection of foods to go with wines but would have liked a better selection of wines that were available by the glass. No questions they will have a repeat visit from us.

Amazing experience! Such excellent service. We truly felt like we were being treated like lovely celebrities (and we are most definitely not)!!! Loved the local, neighbourhood restaurant vibe and the delicious food. They even ran to quickly purchase an ingredient they don t normally carry in order to create a modified version of one of their appetizers for me (since I have a food sensitivity). What a lovely and uneexpected surprise!

We will most definitely be returning.... often!

Staff is friendly, warm and inviting. It's in a discrete location but has a very cool and modern look inside. Bring your date here!

The Margherita pizza was disgraceful. Not enough balance of flavors on cheese and meat board. They need to fire the head chef. Great room and staff.

I was not impressed with this place. I ordered the fish tacos with a side of fries and aioli. First off the fish was over battered and that's all you could taste, I had to pick through it to find the fish. Secondly, the fries were not seasoned at all and the aioli was subpar (very lumpy and did look appealing). Since the fries were so bland I asked them to turn it into a poutine, which I was then charged for both and I only had one bite of the fries and aioli. I would not recommend this place.

Great food. We had the charcuterie board and everything that came out was high quality and delicious.

First of all the atmosphere takes you in no matter what kind of mood that you walked in with. Secondly one glance of the outside patio and you know your at the right place to relax and have a great time. 3rd and most important next to the food is the service. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and what food could be paired well with others, and also about the history of the business that was there before which the menu has some items influenced by it. I had some appetizers to start followed by the Burger which is flame broiled to your liking loaded with back bacon fresh local pickles and all the fixings. I just had to have poutine as a side dish since it was the weekend and absolutely no regrets. It was done right with cheese curds and fresh gravy. The wine menu of red and white is extensive but not overwhelming. I found this place by accident now you dont have to. What a wonderful treat. All places need to take a page out of the Glass Monkey's book of how to do things right! Well done, just can't say enough.

Amazing local place. Great for an end of the week dinner.

Great gastropub. Good selection of tap beers, mostly craft brews. The menu is not extensive but what they do prepare is excellent. They also have appie and main specials. I had a traditional shrimp cocktail (special) and a duck leg confit (also special) - delicious. Co-diner had the salmon filet and thought it was great too. This is not a cheap place to dine and drink but it is definitely a good special occasion place. Call in for reservations as the place isn't that big and does pack up quickly.

I came across this restaurant recently by chance. Overall, it was a good experience. The restaurant has a friendly vibe and it s good for hangouts. The food was just decent. I tried their salmon. It was okay and the vegetables were definitely fresh. However, I expected more for the price - both in terms of the quantity of quality of the salmon

Rob and his staff were amazing. The food was stellar and the wine pairings couldn't have been better.

Cute little place which is kinda hard to find. Delicious appetizers and mains. Cool atmosphere. Try the charcuterie plate with the chutney. Huge beer list. Has a patio.

A very relaxed atmosphere in this little gastropub. We were lucky enough to be seated by the owner. He was kind and considerate to our every preference. The food was delightful in combination with the wines. I can recommend the 5 for $20 snack menu selection to start -- the flank steak with ginger aioli was our favourite. For the larger dishes, the grilled portobello with white truffle oil was excellent. Warm chocolate cake for desert did not disappoint. As simple as it sounds, it delivers. The cake was thick with chocolate fudge but the whipped cream and blackberries balanced it out. Since we moved tables during the meal, the owner gave us complimentary port wine with our desert. An excellent experience all around.

Food was good. Service was good. Hours are limited. Would go again.

I am so craving The Glass Monkey during the Covid challenges. Rob and his family make each and every guest like they are long lost friends, and it shows in their food. I'm looking forward to revisting the restaurant. ( But in the meantime, order their Ukrainian food on Wednesday night take out.

I must admit, in the past tis wasn't my favourite place. But on our last visit (just last week) things seemed to have turned around. So fair credit where credit is due.

I'll be back for sure.

Came here for a birthday party and the staff tried thier best with the set up. We were a large group and food came out quickly and the quality of the food was good . My burger came out slightly over done and the staff was great at replacing it quickly.

Amazingly delicious food but can be very expensive. Definitely took a double take at the bill when our chile was $23.

Wow what a great choice to celebrate my birthday! Very unassuming outside but inside is so cozy and elegant. Fantastic ambiance, and tasteful decor. We had very friendly service staff. They made wonderful recommendations. The food was delicious and the drinks were on point! Great place for our next date night!

Easily my favorite local gastro pub! Amazing appetizers with an amazing selection of wine and beer. Terrific atmosphere for couples and friends. My 10 old loves the salmon moose.

Service was exceptional! The one server/manager came out and helped us lock up our bikes before we even came in! Nice patio and local draft beer. Food was also delicious(steak, pizza, Mac and cheese with duck, and charcuterie).

My wife and I frequently make this the destination when friends or family are in the area and we are looking for a unique dining experience. The Owner is hands-on and the menu is full of creative options that are always well executed. The wine list is also a major draw, great selection!

Food good but brussel sprouts too hard, not uniform in texture. Owner is fantastic person. His young daughter helps her dad and is super adorable and hard working!! Will come back :)

Very nice hole in the wall kind of place. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. Probably the best steak I have had in Edmonton and it was their Friday night special. The bread pudding was fantastic and had a creme brule feel to it. I would visit here again.

Great staff, and amazing food and drink options. It's like an upscale restaurant with a neighborhood pub feel. Always a great time.

My favourite place for great wine, service and dinner

Every time I come, I'm always greeted with such warmth from everyone! The food is unreal and always worth getting the Bread Pudding! The Drinks are always world class. Glass Monkey is definitely a restaurant to take a date or somewhere to watch the game in nice relaxed environment

I made a reservation for 17 at this restaurant for 7:00 on a Saturday evening, something they were more than happy to do.
When we arrived we were asked to wait (what ended up being an hour) because there was still one table in our section that needed to leave before all of our tables could be set up. We were told that this table had a reservation that they arrived late for. They must have arrived quite late as at 7:15 they had just received their meals. When I complained the staff they brought us appetizers that they later made a point of telling us they were covering for us. Talk about adding insult to injury, of course these appetizers should be covered considering no one ordered them.
When I complained a second time (7:45) about how long we were being asked to wait I was told that someone would be asking this table to move, something that never happened considering I was standing 5 feet away and did not hear or see anyone approach this table for that reason.
The restaurant definitely had our reservation as they had called me to confirm earlier in the day. When we arrived for our reservation at 7 on the dot, I wondered if they had a back room as there was no clear space to sit a table of our size. I suggested that one of our tables be moved to fit in between two tables that were literally right beside our tables and was told that the server needed to talk to the manager before doing anything. This would have been the simple solution but nothing was ever done. The staff scrambled to accommodate us but it took one hour to do so. Really not impressed.

Best bread pudding here! Always try whatever the chef has on special, you won't be disappointed. This place has a great butter chicken! The owner also takes great pride in his customers and treats regulars like family.

Came here with a group of 7, of all the places in Edmonton that I have visited, this restaruant comes in as number 1. The dining experience was a culinary treat, from the appetizers, main courses, to the desserts, we walked away saying wow. The service was top notch, the owner took the time to explain the dishes and he let us sample a few after dinner drinks, before purchasing. Highly recommend this restaurant. They have a nice selection beers and wines.

Blow you away Food & Drinks! They made the Spicy Wonton noodle bowl into a veggie dish for us; extremely delicious! The focaccia bread was free and paired perfectly with it so ask for that. Really enjoyed the onion cakes too, ended up ordering a seconding course. If you like Old Fashions, theirs was fantastic. Loved the huge selection of their wines and some tasty beer too The owner and staff were so friendly and attentive, coming back 110%
