A very relaxed atmosphere in this little gastropub. We were lucky enough to be seated by the owner. He was kind and considerate to our every preference. The food was delightful in combination with the wines. I can recommend the 5 for $20 snack menu selection to start -- the flank steak with ginger aioli was our favourite. For the larger dishes, the grilled portobello with white truffle oil was excellent. Warm chocolate cake for desert did not disappoint. As simple as it sounds, it delivers. The cake was thick with chocolate fudge but the whipped cream and blackberries balanced it out. Since we moved tables during the meal, the owner gave us complimentary port wine with our desert. An excellent experience all around.
