I made a reservation for 17 at this restaurant for 7:00 on a Saturday evening, something they were more than happy to do.
When we arrived we were asked to wait (what ended up being an hour) because there was still one table in our section that needed to leave before all of our tables could be set up. We were told that this table had a reservation that they arrived late for. They must have arrived quite late as at 7:15 they had just received their meals. When I complained the staff they brought us appetizers that they later made a point of telling us they were covering for us. Talk about adding insult to injury, of course these appetizers should be covered considering no one ordered them.
When I complained a second time (7:45) about how long we were being asked to wait I was told that someone would be asking this table to move, something that never happened considering I was standing 5 feet away and did not hear or see anyone approach this table for that reason.
The restaurant definitely had our reservation as they had called me to confirm earlier in the day. When we arrived for our reservation at 7 on the dot, I wondered if they had a back room as there was no clear space to sit a table of our size. I suggested that one of our tables be moved to fit in between two tables that were literally right beside our tables and was told that the server needed to talk to the manager before doing anything. This would have been the simple solution but nothing was ever done. The staff scrambled to accommodate us but it took one hour to do so. Really not impressed.
