Attended a Glasgow Rocks Game. Great day out and great way to spend a few hours with the kids!
Brilliant venue for the European Championship track cycling. Great night out!
Great place with lots of positive vibes from the activities going on. Excellent facilities.
I took the grandkids there to show them the facilities on offer ! and we had coffee and snacks. They were very impressed and can't wait to participate in sports in the future.
Wow, what an impressive building! We attended the European Championships, the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Great building shame it's cross the road from Celtic park
Firstly it is fantastic to have several indoor velodrome across the country bringing World class competition to our shores and also giving local cyclists a chance to try out this rather exotic version of bike racing. It isn't a huge spectator sport so getting this track built is a bonus and it is in a great sporting location within the national indoor sports centre at Emirates Arena and next to Celtic Park. It's a high profile venue just like the tracks in London and Manchester.
Remember if you come to watch, it's warm. 28 degrees trackside and feels warmer higher up in the seating when it's full. So wear t shirts and clothes you can remove easily. Although the competitors are in the centre of the track and access the venue at the lower level, this is a sport where you can get close to the competitors and sitting trackside or standing over the banking, you can feel the wind from the passing cyclists. Don't lean over the rail or they will take you with them they come that close sometimes!
Nice place spoiled by the SAS styled security guards. Calm down guys. You're not in Iraq!
Fantastic Scottish Open Grand Prix badminton event put on by Badminton Scotland and supporters at Glasgow Emirates Arena. Emirates Arena and Velodrome are great sporting facilities.
Great experience watching these cyclists up close. Phenomenal effort and some spectacular finishes - a very thrilling event to attend and was way better than I could have ever imagined
great experience , coach was great not to pushy done my level one accreditation first time on one of those bikes it was great fun going for my level 2 in a few weeks time.
Found watching the cycling very relaxing. Lovely building
We went to watch the Davus Cup tennis here and were very impressed with the facilities here!
A great experoence made even better by the coaches.
Agree with sas style security its easier getting into the airport got my water taken off me because i had opened it
Fantastic track and a great experience for first time track riders
They need to put a speed limit I almost got ran over twice
Excellent venue for the Davis Cup. Great atmosphere!
Great place for sport. Good experience for basketball finals.
Went here with my granddaughter to watch judo .it's n amazing place .as with all these venues eatables n juice are dear .
Excellent facilities, superb car parking, staff to nice and helpful. Come here and really play any sport that you can think of. So so well worth a visit.
Good area for watching badminton. The catering was somewhat lacking. Just as well we had taken some of our own provisions.
Can't get over how nice this place is. Plenty of busses to it, although it can be expensive
If you are bringing your car make sure the carpark is open before you leave. We bought tickets for the European Championships and only found out when we got here the carpark was closed to the public.
Went to see UCI World Track Cycling Sat Nov 5th 2016. Great venue and entertainment.
A fantastic afternoon of cycling. Very exciting. Lovely venue. Easy access.
Excellent gym as well as spa etc..staff very helpful. So much there top marks.
I'm sick and tired of people doing excercises in the refresh spa, whether it's in the sauna or the steam room.
Love it!! Wheelchair friendly exciting to watch staff were extremely friendly and helpful
Do you like going fast and turning left? Then this is the best value workout available.
Kids taster session, great coaches and all the kids had a great time.
Very beautiful place. Go and visit. Worth your while.
Great place modern iconic and it's new and what an atmosphere .
Great evening out
If you've never seen a live basketball match go and watch the Glasgow Rocks at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. It's a great experience where the spectators are part of the game.
Great day. from getting the tickets the food and drink and getting to your seat the staff very helpful . Then the racing started it was amazing such respect for the competitor. First class all day
Was here for the final 2 sessions of the Scottish Open Snooker. Excellent venue (and a great game of snooker).
Fab velodrome, tap water only available at the food stalls, no notice that no liquids allowed. Stewards were very helpful. Screens were inadequate for me.
This is notably one of the top sporting venues in the UK. Easy to get to via Dalmarnock Station which is three stops from Glasgow Central. On the Athletics side the seating leg room is good and lighting excellent. There is food & drink kiosks but not much seating in the foyer to enjoy it before the games begin. But I don't know if this is normally the case.
Bad arena for atmosphere at boxing first time ever no alcohol at the ring it killed the atmosphere as everyone was in the bar until their man fought then left to go into town.
Fantastic facility. Unobstructed views and a beautiful track. The catering facilities for big events are a bit lacking though.
Great sports venue. Especially like the velodrome and ondoor running track.
Ladies toilets were absolutely rancid. No food or drink available until 10 mins before basketball started ... Not a great experience for my first time!
Great modern building, can be hard to park when glasgows second football team are playing at same time
World class venue, plenty of car parking, cheap to hire kit and to use the track.
Very good facilities and ample free parking. Refreshments are a bit pricey but that's to be expected at this sort of venue.
Very busy today (8th November), don't try to get parked anywhere near it unless you have a pass
The best run council facility I have experienced. Everyone can enjoy the Velodrome with quality equipment at very reasonable hire rates and great friendly coaches.
Mega sports facilities! Highly recommend the velodrome
Clean and comfortable. Staff are so friendly and helpful (waitress even brought me a honey and hot lemon for my cough. Good dinner, excellent breakfast from a constantly replenished buffet.
The reception staff are berry rude but everything else is good
First time seeing it was amazing. Hopefully it will make me go back to cycling
Great venue , Lot's on offer catering for almost all sports . well worth visit
