Great. No itchy hair left behind after the haircut. Great workers and delicious coffee. Jenna gives the best haircut too.

Great location! The building is very cool - but be prepared to climb stairs. Great service and salon is intimate which makes the experience all the more relaxing!

Super cute place! First time going here. Everyone was soo friendly and nice. Im brand new to this area I was recommended from a friend to go here and I was not disappointed. I had Carlee... such a sweetheart and so down to earth. I will definitely be coming back.

Jenna Lundell has been my stylist for a few years now...ever since she graduated from Aveda. I love her personality and how she truly cares about me and my hair care needs. I followed Jenna to Hair Tailor and it has been worth the hassle of getting into downtown Stillwater. The ladies who work at the Hair Tailor are all super nice and sweet ladies. I know that every time I go to Hair Tailor I will have a great experience. Of course, I have the best hair stylist so I m destined to have an amazing experience no matter what happens.

Jess did a fantastic job cutting my hair (very short) and my 19 year old daughter s hair (very long)! Beautiful salon too.

I love this place! I am always excited when I have an appointment... They make me feel so special, from the way they greet me when I walk in, the awesome team of stylists and most of all how they go out of their way to do what they can to ensure you feel great during and after you leave.

Hair Tailor is by far the best salon in the area! Felicia does an amazing job with fades and beard trims.

Awesome haircuts at a reasonable price. Great service and an inviting atmosphere. Complimentary beverage (including beer and wine) is a nice touch. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Liz cuts my hair and she is fantastic. Not only do I leave with a great haircut but my stomach hurts from laughing so much throughout the appointment. Complimentary beverages and high end products top this off. Caution: If you can't go up a few flights of stairs this isn't the place for you, I haven't found an elevator yet.

Felicia took the time to understand my hair goals and did such an amazing job transforming my brassy old blonde to the cool ashy blonde I have been wanting for years! She gave me lots of tips on how to care for my hair and maintain the color. She also added in a few tape in extensions that are amazing! In addition to the fantastic job she did, the salon itself is so welcoming and very classy! I can t wait to go back!

Spoiler alert emotional feelings about to be shared: My mother passed away a couple of months ago and it's been a rough time. Every time I go in to see Jenna Fossum and the wonderful women who work with her I feel better even if it's just for a little while. They are professional, caring, excellent artists, sassy and fun. I highly recommend going and getting your makeup done by the lovely Lydia. She's too talented and she's makes make up fun even for us older ladies. Love you guys!

Not only did she do a great job, but she offered her professional opinion to help me figure out exactly what I wanted, and even taught me how to curl my own hair. I would recommend this place to anyone! I will certainly be back for my next haircut.

I got my hair done before my wedding. The stylist was completely confident and showed me her progress and asked for input as she progressed pinning my hair up. It was easy and relatively quick, but not rushed.

Amazing place. Second time I've been here. My first time with Felica, she was amazing! My hair is perfectly colored, fast, affordable. My go to!

I made my bridal appointment here for this coming September but decided I wanted to work with them beforehand so we can get to know each other. I have had a few appointments with Jenna L and absolutely love her. She is very knowledgeable and super fun to talk with. I will definitely be driving from Bloomington to Stillwater for my hair for a long time.

Carlee did an amazing job of turning my formally light brown hair to platinum grey. It's so classy and beautiful. She is a pro! I also ordered and received a pumpkin latte. It was delicious. I HIGHLY recommend this salon!

I went here with a group called YoungLives and it was AMAZING. They treated us like queens and made us feel beautiful and special. It was for all us moms without the babies for a few hours! The woman who cut my hair did great and put awesome designs in where I had an undercut shaved. Its a great place to go with great prices! All the workers there are top notch.

*note* you have to go in the doors of the ballet studio and walk up a couple flights of stairs! They have signs to guide you, but my first visit I didn t realize they weren t street level and I wasn t sure where I was going.

Buuuut...now that I know where I m going I love The Hair Tailor! I was initially attracted to the salon for its location (I go to yoga a couple doors down already) and the airy and understated studio I saw on their website. It s really pretty, but it s not so overly polished that I feel like a total ragamuffin rolling through their doors.

I m a gal who truly needs to a strong connection and trust with her stylist, and Carlee just might be my favorite hair stylist I ve ever had and I ve had some good ones! I ll probably keep going to her as long as I live in the metro area. She really gets my hair and how it behaves, and asks skilled questions to help me figure out what I want. As a bonus she s also amazing at creative ideas for my undercut! I haven t experienced any product pushing which I really appreciate.

I don t treat myself much, but my haircuts are my special splurge. It s so great to be offered a drink and relax, get a shampoo head massage and good chat with Carlee. I really look forward to my haircuts!

Bonus - I ve never had trouble finding parking on this end of Stillwater.

I cannot say enough good things about The Hair Tailor. I had died my hair bright red for years and my wedding was quickly approaching... in which I wanted my regular blonde back. I had gone to a NUMBER of salons. Many of which either turned me away, or attempted to get the red out...only for it to pull right through. Carlee at The Hair Tailor (with only a month before my wedding) got my hair back to blonde and it looks even better then expected. I've never cried with relief over hair, and I was bawling. I was so impressed I asked them if I could book them last minute for my wedding and they were more then happy to help. The day of they served mimosas, coffee, lattes, water, etc. They were all about the full spa experience. They were accommodating in ways that I have never EVER seen from another salon. I had eight girls come with me, and every one of them loved their hair. They all worked together to make sure I was 100% happy with my hair. I am so impressed and I will absolutely never go anywhere else! THANK YOU!

Simply incredible service. Lydia welcomes you - and makes you comfortable- takes your jacket and offers you a beverage immediately. The shop is gorgeous! It s a treat to sit by those incredible windows. I love my color and cut!! Jenna is simply the kindest and most sincere. She truly listened to me and helped me find a style that works for my life now. She was generous with her time and answered my numerous styling questions. My husband and toddler now go as well. We are thrilled for such talent to be so close to home.

Jenna opened her salon around the same time I opened my medical spa, and I feel so blessed to have met and collaborated with her. I have a HUGE respect for other entrepreneurs. Opening your own business is not an easy task! Jenna has managed to transform a unique space inside the historic Isaac Staples Sawmill into a stylish salon that deserves to be featured on HGTV! If you enjoy watching Chip and Joanna on HGTV s Fixer Upper you will LOVE the look and feel of the salon. The style is rustic with a modern twist. You have to see it! More importantly, Jenna has hired the BEST team of stylists to work at and represent her business. I have personally seen several of them and my experience with each has been exceptional. I don t get upset when my roots start to grow out now because it means I get to enjoy a glass of wine while the stylists at The Hair Tailor make me look and feel my best!
